My updating schedule will probably be shifting because my life is changing at the moment so sorry about this, hopefully it will steady up soon.
Undeath9087: I'm glad you like it- I love the idea of changing things up and I figured my Drew would see herself in Piper- from her relationship with Leo to the whole charmspeak and being manipulated by the bad guy situation! I hope you keep enjoying.
Weirdhead: I'm glad you're enjoying it- I love sibling relationships and friendships- I think they tend to get overlooked a lot for romances which is sad.
Black' victor cachat: Yeah, Piper's definitely got more support in this- and Hera's gonna get even worse before the end so that'll be fun. She's horrible.
The Official Clarisse: Well, she does care about the Jackson's and she's sort of caring about her siblings but Piper's the first person she's opening up to at all. She's pulling a Percy and just going 'Hm, guess this is my new sibling, I must take care of them' except it's Drew so her taking care of Piper will be lots of 'Fuck you bitch, here's some love and support you trashbaby'
Guest: I'm afraid there's no trailer I haven't even started it yet.
Guest: Yes Helen is a daughter of Zeus- which will be brought up later on, just not at this stage.
The rest of the day passed quickly- when dinner came Leo and Jason split up, Leo joining his siblings and Jason sitting with Thalia- who had grabbed him as soon as she spotted them arriving at the dining pavilion.
Leo noticed Luke, sat up with Chiron, Calypso- who didn't exactly belong at any of the tables so she sat there, and his mom- he'd been basically helping Chiron run the camp since Mr. D had returned to Olympus.
As Leo sat down next to Beckendorf he did spot Piper, who, much to his surprise, was sat next to Drew- she might not have officially been claimed- but clearly Drew had decided to claim her- and the daughter of Aphrodite was not someone most people would choose to argue with.
Silena was watching them carefully- but she looked happy if somewhat confused- Leo could understand why, Piper wasn't the sort of person Leo could have imagined befriending Drew- she usually hated girls like Drew- but clearly something had happened because she seemed to be deep in conversation with her older sister.
He also couldn't help but notice Nico sat at the Apollo table, wedged between his boyfriend and best friend looking disgruntled- and also looking very very pale and unsteady- then again Leo got that. He had no doubt that Nico had been driving himself beyond his own limits to try and find him- when Nico had spotted him earlier the look of relief on his face was kind of heart-warming, though he hadn't actually come over to say hi- it was good enough for Leo, a sign that Nico hadn't completely closed himself off from the rest of the world other than will. And it would explain the fact that Will was piling up Nico's plate with food and fussing over him.
Leo enjoyed dinner- he didn't really manage to distract himself but he did have a chat with Beckendorf about his arm and the latest upgrades- and Harley joined in- and Leo seriously loved his youngest sibling- Harley was eight, he'd been one of the first kids to come to camp in the aftermath of the war- he was young, bright and happy and unscarred by the trauma that so many of the others campers had- and there were so many of them who were traumatised. The new kids were almost like a ray of hope after the war.
In any case dinner raced by and soon enough everyone headed to the amphitheatre, grinning and laughing, and as usual Leo slipped away from the rest of his cabin to join his family and closest friends- as did Nico, Ethan, Luke and Thalia- who towed Jason with her.
And of course Will and Kayla came as part of a package deal with Nico.
While Thalia was quickly introducing Jason to Nico, Will, Kayla and Ethan- and Luke briefly- it seemed he'd already known about the fact she had a baby brother, Leo took the chance to speak to Luke, who looked exhausted- which was understandable- Luke had taken it upon himself to try and protect all of them after Percy's death, since she wasn't there to do it for them. Still, it wasn't doing him any good, Leo knew that much. The pressure he'd put on himself, it wasn't healthy and Leo was the king of unhealthy coping mechanisms.
"You okay?" Leo pitched his voice low- not that there was much need for it, everyone else was so loud that they'd hardly be overheard.
And Luke gave him a pained look, "I'm holding up." he said after a moment, wrapping an arm over Leo's shoulder, "I'm glad you're home. You worried us all sick, disappearing like that." his eyes flicked to Jason and Thalia, "What's he like? Really I mean. I don't want Thalia getting hurt."
"He seems pretty cool-"
"We lose Percy and then a new big three kid shows up sent by Hera." Luke's voice was bitter, angry, "That sounds like a trade off to me. Like a replacement. I know that's not- but-" he shook his head, "Can you blame me for making the comparison?"
"Of course not." Leo gently shoulder bumped his older brother. "But he has no clue where he's come from either way."
"You think he's being legit about the memory loss?"
"Yeah." Leo nodded, "No one could act that freaked out-" he grinned and gave a little wave as he spotted Calypso making her way towards them. "Listen Luke, I think Jason and I are gonna need a quest- we'll probably get given it tonight, I was kinda hoping that I could speak to your mom earlier but-"
"Sorry, I was with her down at the beach until Annabeth and Rache showed up-"
"That's where they are then." Leo nodded, "I'll go and check on them after the campfire."
"Annabeth was upset about not being told Thalia has a brother. At the moment she's taking everything badly." Luke grimaced, "I don't think they could face dinner or the campfire but I'm sure they'd be grateful for you checking up on them. Or Rachel will be, she's looking after Annabeth."
Leo nodded- and soon the Apollo cabin- or to be more exact, Will from his spot cuddling Nico, started the sing along, pulling out his guitar- and it wasn't like the Apollo cabin needed much leading for the sing alongs and the music- they all knew what they were doing after so long- and it did lighten the mood- it always did- especially when Will started singing the stupid song about a grandma getting dressed for war- when Calypso reached them Leo grabbed her hand and started doing a stupid dance with her as they sang- and she just laughed loudly, tossing her head back- after so many years on the island he knew that she was still struggling at times with adjusting to modern life- Sally had helped a lot- she'd let Calypso plant her own personal little corner of the garden- near Leo's shed workshop, and Leo helped her tend it sometimes too- but he did know she preferred camp to school- everyone at camp knew who she was, but none of them judged her for her past- they just welcomed her in and none of them cared that she didn't get some things- they'd just explain and move on since they knew why she didn't understand.
As the mood rose the flames did too, turning from red to orange to gold, and Leo was glad that he could make his girlfriend and friends smile.
When the song ended there was a lot of applause and Leo cupped his hand around his mouth and whooped loudly, prompting Nico to plant a kiss on Will's cheek.
When the applause and cheering died down Chiron moved towards the fire, He brandished a spear impaled with toasted marshmallows. "Very nice! And a special welcome to our new arrivals. I am Chiron, camp activities director, and I'm happy you have all arrived here alive and with most of your limbs attached. In a moment, I promise we'll get to the s'mores soon- but first there are more pressing matters to discuss."
"Leo's return to camp." Luke piped up, "Sadly we have to put up with him again since he's back-"
"Oh you have to be kidding me." Leo laughed, ,"Don't be mean to me Luke."
"As Annabeth isn't here I think perhaps you should explain Leo."
"Oh!" Leo straightened up, "Right- I can do that-" there was a ripple of laughter as Leo kissed Calypso's cheek before scrambling forward to join Chiron.
"Right. So a month ago Hera kidnapped me, she stole my phone, blocked my IM's and she made sure I couldn't run away and get back home, she sent me to a school, where I met two new Demigods, which I'm pretty sure is why she sent me there." his eyes found Piper, and then Jason, "And today we were attacked- somethings going on. And Hera has ordered a quest." there was a ripple of surprise form the crowds at that and Abigail, a daughter of Demeter called out.
"It's the new Great Prophecy isn't it? It has to be, Hera kidnaps you and then you end up bringing two new kids, one of which is a freaking son a Zeus." she sounded frightened- Leo couldn't blame her for that- he'd seen the scar that covered most of her back that she'd earned during the Battle of Manhattan.
"I think so." Leo admitted, and Luke stood at that, moving forward as panicked whispers broke out.
"Calm down everyone- we're going to figure this out just like we did last time. There's no need for any panic yet." he shot Leo a worried look- clearly he'd already figured out that if it was the new Great prophecy then Leo was clearly going to be one of the seven mentioned in it. "Mom-" Luke focused his gaze on his mom, "Do you know if it is?"
May stood up at that, a frown on her lips as she closed her eyes before she opened them and nodded, a sorrowful look on her face.
"The Second Great Prophecy has begun." and chaos broke out at that, frantic panicked chatter- it was so loud Leo could barely hear Luke's muttered.
"I fucking hate prophecies." And Luke was stood right next to him.
Thankfully Will handled it, standing up calmly- he whistled- loud sharp and clear, it cut through the noise and a hush fell. "Let them talk."
"Yeah." Nico stood next to his boyfriend, grabbing his hand, "Even after the last Great Prophecy started it still took three years- we should have time to plan and prepare."
"Thank you Will, Nico." Chiron gave them a small nod, "And thank you May- perhaps you could explain for the sake of those who were not here?"
"Of course." May nodded, shooting Luke a worried look- it was easy to see that he wasn't happy with the situation. "For those unaware, the Great Prophecy was my first true prediction as the Oracle-" she announced, "It arrived in August on the day that the last Great Prophecy was completed. It goes;
"Seven half-bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire the world must fall—"
Jason shot to his feet. His eyes looked wild, like he'd just been tasered.
"Copulent mundi spes lucri; Contineret bis luce liveds
Non obstante juramento ut ad extremum spiritum
Arma hostis ad portas mortis."
Chiron tensed, his eyes wide and May looked stunned, but it was Luke who spoke up and stepped forward, "How did you know that?"
"I don't-" Jason shook his head, "I don't know."
"You finished the prophecy." May's voice was startled. "
"I know those lines. " Jason winced and put his hands to his temples. "I don't know how, but I know that prophecy. "
"In Latin, no less," Drew called out. "Handsome and smart. " she leaned in to whisper something to Piper which had the younger girl snorting and shoving her shoulder hard.
"Yes." May shook herself slightly, "Well, That is the prophecy- I had hoped that it wouldn't happen for a long time- we all know that the last one took decades-"
"Yeah-" Someone called out, "Back when Di Angelo was still in the closet-"
"Real funny." Nico called back, rolling his eyes, a faint playing across his lips, "You should do stand up."
"In any case." May looked around, "I can sense that it has begun- I don't know how long it will take to fulfil but the seven heroes must prepare- I can sense that some of them are here tonight-" Leo felt May's eyes landing on his before they flicked to Jason- who looked freaked out next to Thalia, and then to Piper- so fast that he doubted she'd even noticed that she'd done it before her head turned and she looked in the direction of the beach before she focused again. "Others are not. They will gather together soon though- within the year I think."
The campers began to stir and mutter, looking at each other nervously, until a drowsy voice in the crowd called out, "I'm here! Oh … were you calling roll?"
"Go back to sleep, Clovis," someone yelled, and a lot of people laughed.
"Given the fact that the first Prophecy predicted the Titan war and Kronos' attempt to overthrow the gods we can only assume that this prophecy is warning us of something just as dangerous."
"Or worse," Chiron murmured.
Maybe he didn't mean everyone to overhear, but they did. The campfire immediately turned dark purple.
"What we do know." Leo stepped up again, "Is that Hera's kidnapping of myself and the arrival of the two new demigods is tied into the prophecy-"
"Of course it had to be at least one of you guys in the Seven." Connor snickered, a grin on his lips, "You Jacksons just can't catch a break can you?"
"I wish you were wrong but you're not." Leo let out a laugh, shaking his head, "But anyway, there is something else we do know. Apparently Hera's been captured by someone and she's ordered a quest." his smile was forced and he heard Thalia mutter the words;
"Let the bitch rot."
"Anyway." he straightened up, "The quest was issued to Jason," he gestured towards Jason, who straightened up slightly and set his jaw, his expression turning determined, "She came to him in the Big House while we were talking to Chiron."
"She said that I had to find her prison and free her before the solstice or some king will rise from the earth and She'll be destroyed." Jason spoke up then, his voice firm- and watching him Leo found himself thinking that there was no way that this was Jason's first time with stuff like this.
