Gohan was right almost a week has passed and Piccolo never opened up about the phenomenon they encountered, as long as his dearest isn't frazzled by it he didn't mind the lack of acknowledgement however he did want to venture on the topic
The prospect of it made him feel warm in his chest, the warmness outspreading all over his body, the proposition, the craziness of it, of them being linked like that, is that how far it can go ? His thoughts was edging in dangerous territory he never had the chance to ponder on
Was there a chance Gohan didn't have to live in the reality in which Piccolo's homely storm was absent

Why was the proposal so appealing, why was the Idea of being eternally linked to his brick of a friend so unnervingly comforting that he crave for it
Was the boy addicted? Almost nothing about Piccolo was in the realm of 'comforting' to an outsider anyway
Gohan was just one day thrusted in an inescapable reality in which he was gutted into discovering that he wasn't just a sweet normal baby boy like his mother lovingly dubbed him as, In addition he was tasked with a stupendous, deadly mission in defeating foes nobody should have been born to face, due to him having untapped powers he never asked for
To add insult to injury, these said foes wasn't his to begin with, it was indirectly his father's who unfortunately reached his demise long ago
This mind shattering, lung crushing, heart stopping, gut wrenching, nerve wracking, world ending problem and heavy weight actuality, should have driven his young mind insane

Maybe the reason he developed this irrational need to capture and trap himself and his darling dearest in a room with no space for them to be anything but intimately near each other was his way of coping
What did he even have to keep himself afloat and not drown in frantic paranoia, and fear over the ever-changing world he was falling in
His friend, that's what, his friend's energy who hold both his mind and heart protectively, His strong and immovable rock of a friend that was a never ending reminder of strength and 'can do' attitude and a thing that was always constant, always saving him and un-changing
Gohan was oblivious, given he is just 4 years old, at how bad this whole thing affected his psyche, but going back to normal and trying to explain this so it can all sound mentally sane was the last thing on his mind
All his youth mind innately comprehended was as long as Piccolo was with him, things will be ok
