Little Mac grabbed the big purple gorilla and went to work repeatedly drilling his jade green boxing glove into its gut, which felt like hard plastic. He ended the three punch combination by slamming his opponent into the ground and following it up with a rising uppercut that launched him through the ceiling.
"Defeated!" the announcer cried.
Who's next?
That question answered itself less than a minute later. He barely managed to dodge a heat seeking missile that was tracking him as he fell. Someone had taken a position near the edge of the stage with a shoulder mounted launcher. Accepting the challenge, Little Mac hit the ground and brought his shield to bear in time to block another incoming missile. He quickly closed the gap after shrugging off the explosion and took a swing at the shooter. Snake ducked safely out of the way and delivered a kick that sent Little Mac stumbling back.
OK guy...
Raising his fist, Little Mac concentrated all his focus, all of his energy for this one strike. Snake had decided to capitalize on the kick and was now raining down a multitude of blows, but it was no use. Little Mac ate through all of it like it was nothing. He lunged into the barrage and threw the punch, rocking his opponent's chin piece. Snake's head snapped back as he went sailing off the stage and out of frame before he vanished in a brilliant flash of light.
"Defeated!"
Hyped about his success thus far, Little Mac threw some practice punches and added an Ali shuffle to his footwork. He turned around after he was done showing off and saw Incineroar, a powerful Pokémon that he'd sparred with in the past and was looking forward to fighting here, getting locked in a tight clench by none other than Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic executed a dizzying flurry of flips before landing on Incineroar, who just couldn't take that level of punishment, blasting him off the stage in a magnificent display.
Little Mac stepped forth to challenge the blue speedster when all of a sudden, what felt like a giant tongue wrapped around his waist and pulled him into complete darkness.
