The Official Clarisse: Yep, this Leo has had intense love and support from the Jacksons, so he's definitely not going to think he's the useless third wheel in this. Though the downside to that is the fact that he has to step up and be responsible for two other demigods who are essentially newbies since Jason has no memories. Which would not be fun.
Undeath9087:Literally everyone hates Hera in this, it's great, and just imagine how the Romans would react, the Greeks arrive and every five minutes there like 'Yeah, but fuck the gods, especially Hera, that bitch sucks'. Most of them would be horrified. They'd just be there like, "YOU CALL THE QUEEN OF THE GODS BITCH? DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!"
Guest: Yeah, Leo's a smart one, even if he doesn't fully understand Latin he can tell that it is Latin and let's face it, everyone knows that the gods have different names in Rome and they'd have heard of those names so Leo's there like 'Hm, that's suspicious.'.
Black' Victor Cachat: Yeah they really shouldn't, I mean sure the Romans have a better military but individually I'd say most of the Greeks could take the average Roman because they focus more on individual training. They're heroes not soldiers.
Leo, Piper and Jason spent almost an hour discussing what they were going to have to do- Jason and Piper had agreed to go with Annabeth's advice and agreed that they should go to Quebec and find Boreas.
Then, of course, after Leo had pointed out that they couldn't travel over land Piper and Jason had asked how they were supposed to travel since they'd already been told that they only had one flying chariot and that one had been trashed.
Piper had asked about Pegasi but Jason had shot that down by pointing out that it was too far to expect them to carry them- and Leo had laughed as his friends had tried to come up with something themselves.
That earned him two glares and Leo held up his hands, "Okay okay- sorry for laughing but I just- it really isn't a problem guys-"
"How is it not a problem?"
"Come with me you guys." Leo grinned and whirled around, darting away- and when he glanced back Jason and Piper were exchanging looks before they were taking off after him.
He led them into the woods, towards the familiar clearing- and honestly he knew the way there better than he knew the way around the school he'd been going to for over a year and a half.
It didn't take him long to reach the clearing- and Leo grinned when he heard Piper and Jason gasping loudly at the sight of the huge bronze dragon, who was currently napping- and it was napping, Leo was sure of that much, especially since as they approached Festus let out a low grumbling noise and lifted his head, tilting it slightly as Piper and Jason both froze up and Leo rushed towards his dragon.
"Hey boy! Did you miss me?" And Festus almost seemed to purr- that was the only way Leo could describe the noise. "I know buddy- sorry I didn't visit you sooner, in my defence my loco Tia Callida kinda took over my life." he grinned when Festus moved his head and gently butted Leo's arm with it, Leo reaching up to smooth his hand over his dragons smooth metal scales. "But I'm back now- and these two are friends so no burning them." he gave the dragon a disapproving look when Festus let out a whirring clicking noise that was almost disappointed, "No, no you know better than that boy." his voice was chiding. "I know you don't like anyone other than Beckendorf, Cal and me but that doesn't mean you can scare people away by breathing fire at them-"
"You have a pet metal dragon?" Piper's voice was slightly high pitched and Leo laughed.
"He was a gift from my dad before I was even around, he got a bit... destroyed, me and my brother Beckendorf-"
"Silena's boyfriend." Piper spoke up, "She mentioned him."
"Yeah, he's pretty awesome, lost his arm during the war but he's still one of my most skilled siblings- other than me." Leo gave a cocky grin, "He's one of the only other people that Festus likes."
"And he burns people he doesn't like?" That came from Jason, "I feel like that name was very poorly chosen. A dragon that burns people it doesn't like should not be called Happy."
"Happy?" Piper raised an eyebrow, "Festus means Happy?"
"I just thought it felt right." Leo shrugged, "But hey, you gotta admit, there is something cool about the idea of riding off to save the world on Happy the Dragon."
"You are so weird." Jason shook his head, lips twitching, "So so very weird-"
"And don't you forget it." Leo did a mock salute as he patted Festus' metallic snout, "He's a good ride- fairly comfortable all things considered. We could definitely do worse than having him. I've made sure of that over the last year or so."
"I-" Jason took a deep breath, "We're really going to ride a giant metal dragon. Well I guess that's probably usual for quests-"
"I mean, I've heard of weirder." Leo offered as he adjusted the straps of his backpack, "Let's get this show on the road then if you guys are ready."
"As ready as we'll ever be I think." Piper gestured to a bag slung over her shoulder. "Drew helped me pack, she said I should have everything I need-"
"One day you're gonna have to tell me how you did that by the way- got Drew to like you."
"Like her?" Jason raised an eyebrow, "Isn't Drew the one who keeps calling her trashbaby?"
"Yeah." Piper rolled her eyes, "That would be her. Honestly I think that's her version of a nickname."
"Yep." Leo nodded, "Very few people get one from Drew-and only one person had a nice one- and that's debatable."
"Who?" Piper tilted her head, "And why is it debatable."
"Drew called my sister Princess. And she was the only one allowed to." Leo explained.
"She told me." Piper hesitated "She talked to me a bit- she was friends with Percy right-"
"Yeah. Yeah she was."
"I feel like you have a lot of stories." Jason remarked, "And since you're the only one who has any stories you're going to have to entertain us-"
"Well now that should be fun." Leo grinned before he moved, clambering onto Festus' back and reaching down towards Piper and Jason, "So, let's all get aboard the Festus express and ditch this place- as much as I love it here we should be on our way-"
"Sounds like a plan." Jason gave a slight grin and then he and Piper were climbing onto Festus back- and Festus waited patiently as Leo helped them strap themselves in quickly- and soon they were taking off- and as they flew up out of the woods Leo saw others emerging from their cabins below- he could almost picture the exasperated look on Luke's face when he leaned over as much as he could and waved- and he spotted Rachel and Annabeth stood together, and Calypso waving him goodbye frantically- he thought about his promise to her- he'd come back. He'd always come back to her. He knew they hadn't really been together for that long but he loved her.
Then they were flying away, North and soon Camp faded from view and Leo let out a slow breath, turning his head to look ahead.
"Are you okay?" that came from Piper, who was sat behind him, and Jason was sat behind her.
"Fine-"
"It must be hard." her voice was gentle, "Camp's your home right?"
"Not exactly." Leo shifted to look back at her, "It's one of my homes- my home home is back in Manhattan, with my mom and Paul and my siblings."
"Think I'll get to meet everyone someday?"
"You both will." Leo declared, "Mom will love you guys- and you'll be adopted by her knowing mom-" that was aimed at Jason, who raised an eyebrow.
"I'm fifteen-"
"Yeah that won't stop mom. Ethan's like, eighteen now and she adopted him. Besides your sister's basically gonna marry Luke someday we all know it so that makes you family anyway."
"It does sound like being a member of your family would be interesting." Piper admitted.
"Maybe mom'll adopt you too. She does basically just adopt any stray kids she meets- it's a running joke these days. And I wouldn't mind you being my sister."
There was a flash of something in Piper's expression-but it disappeared quickly, "That's actually really sweet of you."
"Why do I feel like being a part of your family would be pure chaos?" Jason's voice was almost amused, "It feels... weird to me. I definitely don't think I'm used to people like you- the craziness. I feel like I'm used to things being more organised-"
"Yeah you don't get much of that in the Jackson household." Leo grinned, "Well, Jackson-Blofis but same difference. We're beings of pure chaos."
"How do you ever get things done?" Jason asked, his eyes wide, "You can't be that bad-"
"One time Nico, Percy, Rachel and I nearly burned the kitchen down because we wanted popcorn with our movie night."
"You-" Piper snickered, "How?"
"We decided to heat the popcorn in the pan using my fire powers." Leo admitted, a grin on his lips, "That was a very fun day." he grinned at the memories, "That was the first time Rache ever came over."
"You-" Jason shook his head an incredulous look on his face, "You really aren't exaggerating on how chaotic your family is are you?"
"In our defence we're a bunch of crazy ass demigods- three of us happen to be Big three kids- if you include Bianca though she's not around much, one of us is a Cyclops, and the one mortal out of us children quite literally attempted to blind Kronos with a blue plastic hairbrush- and honestly she's iconic for that."
"We definitely need you to entertain us with stories." Piper declared.
"Of course, I'm the designated spirit raiser." Leo declared with a grin, "We're gonna need it."
"Especially if you and Annabeth are right." Jason added, "Gaea-"
"Yeah." Leo felt his smile slip, "Queen Dirtface is definitely a big threat."
"I like that." Piper gave a weak grin, "Queen Dirtface. Are we really sure it's here? Because from the sounds of how bad that'd be I think I'd rather we were wrong."
"Pretty sure." Leo hesitated before he took a deep breath, "I've seen her before I think-"
"What?" Jason's eyes widened, "Leo-"
"I was eight." Leo spoke over Jason, his voice barely wavering, "I'd already met Hera a bunch of times- I guess they both knew I'd be one of the seven even before the prophecy was made. I thought Gaea was my Tia Callida at first. But- she wasn't. My mom was in the shop- I was outside and she- she got locked inside. I thought she was in danger. Gaea tricked me. She was- she told me she could break my spirit- I didn't mean for it to happen but- I set it all on fire, I didn't have good control back then, not like I do now."
"Oh gods." Jason's voice was low, horrified and Leo felt Piper shifting behind him to wrap her arms around him awkwardly.
"That's horrible Leo." Piper's voice was soft, "You think it was her?"
"She was asleep- her eyes were closed and everything, and her clothes were made of dirt."
"That does sound like it's Gaea." Jason admitted, "I guess it's good that we know who we're dealing with going into our meeting with Boreas- as long as we get to him and he's willing to talk."
"We get to him we can get to our buddy Dylan-"
"Ugh." Piper pulled a face, "Maybe this time I can stab that asshole."
"And we get to Dylan we might be able to find out where Hera's being kept."
"Can I yell at her for messing with my memories?" Piper asked hopefully, "Because I feel like it was kind of cruel of her to mess with my memories."
"Listen-" Jason's expression was awkward, "I'm sorr-"
"Don't. It's not your fault." Piper shook her head, "I'm not upset with you."
"We can all yell at her." Leo suggested with a grin, "You for her playing with your head, Jason for her taking his memories and me for her fucking up my childhood and kidnapping me- between the three of us we could totes take her."
"Sounds like a plan." Jason laughed, "Let's go and fight a god, real smart-"
"Jase, we're probably gonna have to fight a Giant." Piper pointed out, "I feel like that's probably just as bad-"
"It's definitely gonna be crazy." Leo winked, "But we're crazy fuckers, if anyone can kick some giant butt it's us three-"
"Ah yes." Jason nodded sagely, "The girl who's known she's a demigod for one day and the boy with no memories."
"And Leo Valdez the kickass badboy Supreme." and all three of them burst out laughing at his words.
