SO SORRY for the week hiatus… again!
I'm actually like 3 weeks away from having my second child so… there will probably be a few times where I am late on posting!
But fear not, this story WILL NOT be abandoned.
It's actually already finished. I just hella edit each section before posting them lol
Chapter 16
His room was immaculate and the only difference from this room to his dorm were the posters and few collectibles on his desk. I walked up to the desk and giggled at the limited edition All Might figurines, looking over to see Bakugo blushing cutely.
"Awe, blasty! You're cute when you're being bashful." Before I knew what was going on, I was hauled up and deposited on the bed, bouncing from the force he used. His back was turned to me as he snarled about not being cute.
Shinsou plopped down next to me, long legs hanging over the side.
"So, what should we do while we wait for your parents to get lunch ready? What do you all usually do for your birthday?" Rolling his eyes and sighing, Bakugo plopped down next to him and ran a hand through his hair.
"We usually do something outside, like hiking or theme parks. I'm a bit of a thrill seeker."
"You don't say," Shinsou said and Bakugo pushed his head down, almost shoving him off the bed.
I sat up and crossed my legs, not missing how both their eyes darted to the movement.
"Do you think they'll plan something like that when we're involved? They don't know us well enough to plan something like that."
He shrugged and stood, motioning for us to follow him. We all headed downstairs and exited the house through the back door. A second building was artfully hidden between several trees and a small garden.
When we entered, my jaw nearly hit the floor at the state-of-the-art rock-climbing wall. I turned my attention to the left and noticed a mini gym, decked out with the newest gear. I gravitated to it like a moth to a flame, feeling at home with weights. The boys followed me, knowing my love for getting stronger, for being better than I was the previous day.
"What do your parents do? Like, this is the top of the line equipment!" A restraining hand on my arm halts my progression and I turn to give Bakugo a confused look.
"You're not dressed to work out, shorty. However, you can give rock climbing a go if you want." Bouncing up and down like a child, I agreed without even thinking, blushing when they both laughed at me.
I was quickly strapped into the harness, having to smack the blond a couple times when he tried to get too handsy. Shinsou sat back watching and I'm pretty sure he liked observing, taking in the way we interacted with one another. I gave him a questioning look and he smirked, slowly perusing my body, eyes ending on the harness crossing over my butt.
Turning beet red, I whirl to face my other soulmate just to see him giving me the same look and I all but melted.
"Listen. If you two don't pull your crap together, then I am leaving. I am doing this for fun, not just so you can ogle the booty!" Bakugo just hooked me up to the safety line and pointed to the wall.
"If you can beat my time, I'll give you any one favor you want."
My eyes narrowed and I took off, having already done a little bit of strategizing while they checked me out.
This is a lot harder than it looks! I didn't realize just how tired my darn fingers would get after only thirty seconds in. Ugh. But I want to wipe that smirk off his face and have a favor from him. I doubt I'll beat his time this go round but knowing him, he'll be down for another bet later on.
I reached the top and then, feeling like a complete jerk since they had definitely just used this to stare at me, I purposely let myself fall. The sudden stop from the line being pulled taut made me groan but I made sure to keep it quiet, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of winning.
Glancing down, I saw two angry glares but I chose to ignore them, letting out a loud whoop as I was quickly lowered.
"That was AWESOME! My arms and fingers hurt but-" A hand slapped over my mouth roughly and I yelped, realizing they were a lot angrier than I thought.
"Don't ever pull another fucking stunt like that again. Or I will kill you myself."
I pulled his hand away and reminded him that I had a quirk that could make falling from that distance feel like nothing.
"We don't care, Ren. You can't scare us like that." Shinsou mumbled, running a hand over his face and through his hair.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to freak you guys out."
I walked up to them and whispered playfully, "But don't act like you didn't enjoy the show."
With that I started to undo the harness, watching the way they both went from angry to flustered. Thankfully, Mitsuki poked her head in and told us lunch was ready, helping to diffuse the awkward tension between us.
The food was delicious and the time was mainly spent listening to the two blonds argue while Masaru talked to the two of us quietly. I found myself actually having fun, not being overwhelmed by the yelling and sounds of aggression.
"Alright, it's time for the brat to open his present!" Mitsuki screeched, making me spill my water down my shirt. Everyone stared at me and, to be honest, I just stared, too.
"You know, I knew this was going to happen. I don't know why I didn't pack extra clothes." Shinsou snorted into his drink and almost spilled it. I gave him a knowing look. Bakugo lost it and snorted before bursting into a full-blown belly laugh.
The fond yet shocked look Mitsuki shot him was enough to tell me that he rarely let loose like this in front of her.
"Well, let's get on with it. I don't want Bakugo to wait to open his present! I'm too nosy for my own good." Masaru chuckled at my impatience and motioned for all of us to follow him.
We walked through another door that I had no idea existed; this house was like a freaking maze with all these doors popping out of nowhere. I shot Shinsou a look and he just rolled his eyes, pushing me forward before anyone noticed.
I did a double take when we walked through and I saw a very pristine garage. Bakugo rolled his eyes and just started digging around and I honestly had no idea what was going on.
"I can see how confused you are. Let me explain how this works. Whenever we get Katsuki something, he has to find it before he can actually have it. I love to keep the little shit on his toes."
Mitsuki pulled out a chair, popped it open, and sat in it like this was perfectly normal. Masaru pulled down three more chairs and then went to the fridge to grab us all drinks.
"This could take a while, sit and enjoy the show."
Reluctantly, I sat down and glanced over at Shinsou, only to find him having to hold in a snort of laughter as Bakugo all but tore down a shelf. We made eye contact and lost it, full blown idiot laughter and the raging blond whirled on us, throwing a sleeping bag in our faces. Snorting, Shinsou blurted out the one thing that could cause us both to be blown to smithereens.
"Hey, blasty. Aren't mutts supposed to have a good sense of smell? Find it boy! Sniff it out." Me, being the genius I am, dove behind Mitsuki for protecting while holding my aching side.
My purple haired partner wasn't so lucky. Bakugo pounced on him, breaking the chair under both their weight and his drink went flying all over the place.
"Oi, quit fucking flirting with your soulmate! Get on with your damn search or I'll take the tickets for myself!" Freezing, he shot his mother a look, eyes alight with mischief.
"Tickets, huh? That makes my search a little easier. You'll put it in the most ridiculous place since they're small."
He thought for a moment, still on top of Shinsou as Mitsuki cursed her mistake. Creeping back into my chair, I could see the wheels turning in his brain. His sharp eyes then turned to his mother, pinning her down with his gaze.
"Either give them up or I will search you." Her eyes grew wide before she shrugged, daring him to try.
Walking over, he tipped her chair back with his foot and shot his dad a look. "Do you really want to have to put up with her after I man handle her to get these?"
Masaru snorted and then reached over, hand slipping into her sleeve. "Sorry, babe. I really don't want to see the two of you get into a fist fight. Especially since this is supposed to be a celebration of Katsuki's life, not his death."
The tickets were produced and Bakugo snatched them up, ripping open the envelope to read the tickets.
"This is fucking perfect! Thanks." He beamed at them and Mitsuki chuckled.
"I thought you would take these two eventually, so it's the least we could do." He pocketed the envelope and then walked inside, ignoring my protests of not getting to know what the gift was.
"Hey! I want to know what your gift is, Bakugo!" I ran after him and chased him up the stairs, only stopping when I almost ran into his back as he opened his door.
"Oi, calm down. You'll know this coming weekend. I think it's time the three of us finally went on a date and I've already got mine planned out." Shinsou walked in and closed the door, pulling me into a hug, his chest pressed to my back.
I leaned back and relaxed, enjoying the warmth spreading through my body.
"I'm curious, too. Can we get a hint or are you going to leave us in the dark completely?" He hummed, twirling his desk chair and sitting in it, observing us. A deep flush flared across my cheeks as I realized just how much both of them were into watching each other with me.
"U-um…" I tried to say something but Bakugo just rolled his eyes.
"Look, shorty. You have two soulmates who happen to be teenage boys. You're going to have to get used to being looked at." Crimson eyes bore into mine and I felt like I was going to combust. Shinsou leaned his head down and whispered in my ear.
"Don't make it awkward. You have absolutely nothing to be self-conscious about in front of us."
I nodded and then gave Bakugo a glare. "Are you just going to ignore the question or are you going to give us a hint?"
An embarrassing squeak left my throat when I was suddenly pulled down onto Shinsou's lap, him deciding we should take a seat on the bed. Turning to face him, I was not expecting his hand to tangle in my hair and our lips to meet. The kiss was sweet and slow, like a summer day. I never wanted it to end.
When the kiss finally ended and we were catching our breath, foreheads pressed together, I remember that we had an audience.
"Fuck. I see what you mean when you said it was hot. Do it again." My eyes widened in shock and Shinsou smirked, pulling me in for another mind-blowing lip lock. I turned so my thighs were straddling him, very aware of the fact that Bakugo had sat on the bed next to us.
I pulled away, trying to catch my breath. Bakugo's hand trailed over my bare leg, all three of our eyes following the path his fingers traced. Suddenly, the door flew open and we all froze, heads turning so fast that I'm pretty sure mine popped from the angle. Mitsuki leaned against the doorframe, red eyes taking in the situation like she'd expected it.
