Welcome to Prologue 3 of Fate's Bounty! We finally have the full list of wonderful tributes! I've really been loving reading all of the characters you guys have been sending in.

Thank you to everyone who submitted! With that out of the way, please enjoy!

"Everything looks...perfect."

Ambriel snapped back to reality at the voice of her stylist. She looked into the mirror and examined her face, surveying the gorgeous look her stylist had created thanks in part to the pounds of makeup caking her pale face.

Ambriel smiled in delight now that she was ready. "It looks fabulous!" Ambriel proclaimed.

Her stylist left the room with a smile, leaving Ambriel alone. Ambriel gazed back into the mirror once again, losing herself in her thoughts.

Ambriel Justice, Master of Ceremonies. She thought to herself. Ambriel giggled at the thought of her name followed by her new position. She was truly honored that she was selected to be the new Master of Ceremonies for this years Games. It had been a difficult process to get the job, and now her hard work was paying off.

With everyone involved with the Games last year being fired or executed, all of the positions related to the Hunger Games suddenly opened up and Ambriel leapt at the opportunity to propel herself into stardom. Everything had to be perfect, and it was, as she had nailed her audition. Ambriel knew she wasn't the smartest, but she always worked hard and thankfully to her benefit, that was worth something.

Before this, she was a personality on the Capitol News, which was a nice platform, but she had quickly grown bored of the role. Ambriel had a star quality to her, and she felt her talents were being wasted. This new opportunity was her blessing.

Ambriel had never been a huge fan of the Games. Of course, she watched them with friends and at various social events through the years, but she was never hooked on them.

But she knew that the Hunger Games was her life now. She had watched tapes of previous games in the weeks leading up to her debut as the new Master of Ceremonies, studying everything she could in preparation. She would become the Capitols darling. Although she was looking forward to trying to bring the best out of the tributes, her main priority was herself. Who would even care about the Tributes when she was on stage?

But before she could get to the interviews, she had to get through tonight. The reason Ambriel was all dressed up backstage was for her interview with the head gamemaker. It was tradition that the Master of Ceremonies would interview the Head Gamemaker right before the Reapings. It just so happened that both women were brand new to their roles. Ambriel wondered if Xanthe Dysnomia was as worried as she was for how this would go.

I highly doubt it. Ambriel thought with a sigh. Xanthe seemed quite peculiar at her speech to the Capitol, so Ambriel figured this interview wasn't even a point of stress for the Gamemaker.

But for Ambriel, tonight was everything. She had to be the one the Capitol loved, not Xanthe, and seeing the positive reception Xanthe got at her inaugural speech, she had ground to cover.

It was bad enough that Ambriel was already in the shadow of the Hunger Games Announcer, Lady Quinn. Lady Q was the one exception to the replacement of all of the Hunger Games staff. She was pushing seventy years old, but she was a staple to the Hunger Games. Although the Games were entering a new era, Lady Q was the one constant from the old days. She had been announcing the Games for roughly fifty years, and she was virtually symbolic of them. Most Capitolites couldn't even remember a time where she wasn't the Announcer.

Lady Q was also extremely beloved. She was a typical nice old lady, but she also had a colder, more sinister side that came out whenever she was covering the more grisly part of the Games. The duality of her personality was captivating to audiences as she embodied the core values of a Capitolite. Her love of the Games and hatred for the Districts stayed strong, even through the recent dark years of the Games. So naturally, she stayed in her role, and no one questioned it.

Ambriel hated to admit it, but she was jealous of her older counterpart. But she swore to herself that she would reach even higher status than Lady Q, and that one day everyone would be jealous of herself instead.

Ambriel escaped from her trance as her assistant opened the door. "You're on in five."

Ambriel ran her fingers through her platinum blonde hair one more time as she stood up, brushing out the creases in her shimmering, gem-incrusted silver dress. She placed her signature tiara upon her head, and left the dressing room with joyful excitement stirring up within herself.

Ambriel stood in the wings off-stage, just barely out of sight of the large audience that had gathered just to see the conversation between the two women. Ambriel looked across the stage to Xanthe standing in the other wing, her expression unreadable.

Ambriel suddenly felt nervousness building up inside her, quickly replacing her excitement. Xanthe didn't exactly seem like a loud personality, and she hoped that no one would find the stark contrast between Xanthe and herself off-putting. What if people questioned her abilities?

Ambriel scolded herself for her self doubt and tried to calm down. She had to do this.

"It's time," Ambriel's assistant said from behind her, placing a cold hand on her shoulder. She nodded. It was too late to back out now.

As Ambriel stepped into the spotlight, she put on the largest grin she could muster.

This was her commencing moment, and nothing was going to stop her.

I hope you enjoyed another prologue that gives some insight into more of the Capitol Characters! There will be plenty more Eden, Jericho, Xanthe, Ambriel, and Lady Q content in later chapters, so get used to it :]

All spots are now full or reserved which means we are almost ready for the Reapings! There will likely be one more very short prologue once the cast is set that will show the list of tributes for these Games! I'm super excited to get this show on the road.

After the final prologue we will get into the Reapings, and then the Pre-Games! I'm gonna be tweaking the normal pre-games events slightly, just to add a little variance from the Normal SYOT format.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed, and thank you all for reading!
