Goh put his phone away, never typing a response. Looking out over the cliff was the Wild Area. It had been a while since he had gone anywhere based on calls or even roads. He found that the side paths were better for his own growth. This was not one of those times. He had gotten word that Eternatus was being moved to a more secure location, he wanted to be there just in case, well not there per say, the armored van was about a mile off, and would never pass him.
"Why hello there." A voice called out.
"If you don't mind, I'd rather be alone." Goh said, turning to see the trainer mere inches from him.
"Ah, but are you not Goh, the hero of Zamazenta?" The man asked.
"Yeah, why?" Goh asked.
"I am Shielbert, an ancestor of the true king." Shielbert said.
"The true king was two Pokémon though?" Goh said confused.
"All lies! How dare you question my knowledge!" Shielbert yelled.
"Hey, calm down. I'm just saying what we found to be true." Goh said.
"All lies, and I will restore my families honor by defeating you in battle. Bronzong come out!"
"Cinderace, let's go!"
"Bronzong use Hypnosis."
"Cinderace use Pyro Ball!"
Cinderace was stopped in its tracks as it went into a trance.
"Now use Gyro Ball."
"Cinderace snap out of it and use Blaze Kick!"
Goh's shouts were ultimately pointless, as Cinderace was struck by Bronzong.
"Cinderace, come back. Drizzile you're up! Use Liquidation!"
A blast of water fired at Bronzong pushing it back.
"Bronzong use Hypnosis."
"Now use U-Turn!"
Drizzile connected with Bronzong before retreating back to its Pokeball, a Spinarak taking its place.
"You think that little bug can help you." Shielbert scoffed. "Bronzong use Hypnosis."
"Spinarak use String Shot!"
Quickly Bronzong was all tied up, unable to move.
"Didn't need it to win, just needed it to stop Bronzong." Goh said happily. "Now use Night Shade!"
"Bronzong use Extrasensory."
Spinarak was stopped in place, as it was lifted off the ground.
"Now squash that bug with Gyro Ball."
"Spinarak, get out of there!" Goh called out, as his Pokémon was knocked out.
"Spinarak return!" Goh called holding up the Pokeball. "Drizzile, come on back and use Liquidation!"
"Bronzong use Light Screen."
A strange barrier appeared in front of Bronzong blocking Drizzile's attack.
"Now Bronzong use Gyro Ball."
"Drizzile use Fling!"
Drizzile grabbed anything it could find and tossed it at Bronzong, one item made a long ringing sound upon it striking their opponent. As the ringing faded, Bronzong fell to the ground defeated.
"No matter, Bronzong return." Shielbert said. "Klinklang it's your turn."
"Drizzile use Liquidation!"
"Klinklang use Wild Charge."
Klinklang pushed through the jet stream of water, striking Drizzile.
"What no more Pokémon left?" Shielbert taunted as Goh returned Drizzile.
Goh looked at the armored van down below, it was his but he knew he wasn't ready, not until he had fixed everything else. He had lost.
"I see we have our sights set on the same target. Sirfetch'd strike the van with Meteor Assault!" Shielbert commanded.
"No! You don't know what you'll be unleashing!" Goh yelled.
"I know exactly what is in there. Eternatus, the darkest day, and once my brother and I defeat the beast once and for all you and your friends silly notion of Pokémon being the kings will be proven false once and for all." Shielbert said.
"I won't let you!" Goh said , tackling the Sirfetch'd to the ground, only to be swatted away.
"Foolish child!" Shielbert said kicking Goh in the gut. "This is to restore the right order of everything! You couldn't even beat me in a battle, how do you plan on stopping both me and my brother!"
"Leon, he'll find out, and get Ash." Goh said weakly. "They'll stop you."
"You mean this Ash?" Shielbert said showing footage from the airport. "My brother is already taking care of him, as for Leon, he already trusts us, who do you think funded the moving?"
"Goh!" A girls voice shouted.
"Marnie, stay back this guy is crazy!" Goh called out, struggling to get up.
"More interference! Klinklang take care of them with Gear Grind!"
"Morpeko use Aura Wheel!" Marnie called out.
The Morpeko easily bounced back Klinklang's attack, their demeanor changing afterwards.
"Stop Sirfetch'd I'll handle this." Goh said.
"How?" Marnie asked.
"He never defeated Cinderace." Goh said wincing. "Cinderace come out and use Pyro Ball!"
"Klinklang use Protect!"
The rock was shot at Klinklang only for it to bounce back.
"Hit it again!" Goh called out.
The added speed and power was enough to send Klinklang spinning.
"Morpeko use Bullet Seed!"
The attack was bounced back from Sirfetch'd's shield, as it took aim with its leek.
"Morpeko stop it with Aura Wheel!"
Morpeko raced towards Sirfetch'd hitting it moments too late. Marnie watched as the leek destroyed the van, as a purple glow emanated from the wreckage.
"What did I just fail at stopping?" Marnie said in shock as it grew and grew into a giant snake like Pokémon.
"We need to go!" Goh shouted grabbing Marnie's arm.
"Go! Go where?" Marnie asked following him.
"My friends are here, that's step one. Step two is the Slumbering Weald to get help from Zacian and Zamazenta." Goh said.
"Goh the Galar region is huge, and you haven't spoken in to them in quite a while, how are we going to find them?" Marnie asked.
"Look for something chaotic, Ash will probably be there." Goh said.
"Like that?" Marnie asked seeing a blue bubble in the distance.
"Probably, and it looks like Eternatus is already there, let's go!" Goh shouted.
As they finally reached there, Eternatus was going full on crazy, having knocked a large boulder straight towards the group.
"We're too late!" Marnie cried out.
"No we're not." Goh said tossing out a Pokeball. "Cinderace use Pyro Ball!"
