Chloe, Marnie, Serena, and Pikachu were in one Corvinight Cab, heading towards the base of Rose Tower, while Goh and Seb were in another headed towards the peak. Both teams knew their missions, and what might happen should they fail. Ash meanwhile was atop the tower with Galar's strongest trainers, battling the darkest day.

"Ladies, look who's waiting for us." Marnie said looking out the cab's window.

On the ground blocking the way into Rose Tower was Sordward and Shielbert. Their Sirfetch'd on either side of them.

"Aren't they doing this to stop Eternatus? You know the thing at the top of the tower?" Chloe pointed out.

"Maybe they can't?" Serena responded.

As the girls approached the tower, Pikachu picked up a scent and ran right past Sordward and Shielbert up the tower.

"What do you think Pikachu found?" Marnie asked in shock at the speed.

"Best guess, Ash is up there." Serena said.

"We need to stop those two from… standing there patiently I guess." Chloe said a bit confused.

"Oh please, there are already trainers up there." Sordward scoffed.

"Their teams and spirits are weakening as we speak." Shielbert said.

"We just need to stop you three and those two boys from getting up there, and we'll swoop in and save the day." Sordward said.

"And what will stop them from going straight to the top of the tower?" Serena asked.

"Eternatus is rampaging up there, only complete fools would try and approach from the air." Shielbert said.

Up in the air

"Shouldn't we be going down, you know. The opposite of up." Goh said as their cab flew higher into the air.

"Do you want to climb the whole tower?" Seb asked.

"No, but I also want to live." Goh said.

"Just don't get hit, and remember to deploy your parachute." Seb said handing Goh a bag.

"Aren't you the one who thinks things through!?" Goh said panicking.

"Why do you think we have two parachutes?" Seb said, opening the cabin door. "Let's go!"

On top of the tower

"How's everyone doing?" Leon asked, as Eternatus blasted away at them again.

"I'm out." Raihan said recalling his Pokémon.

"Same here." Piers added.

"Ash?" Leon asked.

"I'm down to my last one." Ash said holding a Pokeball.

"Let's make them count." Leon said grabbing his third Pokeball.

Back at the base

"Morpeko let's go!"

"Ponyta, come on out!"

"Grookey I choose you!"

The three Pokémon came face to face with the two Sirfetch'd blocking their path.

"Morpeko use Aura Wheel!"

"Ponyta use Stomp!"

"Grookey use Branch Poke!"

"Sirfetch'd use Iron Defense."

"Sirfetch'd use Leaf Blade."

As Morpeko and Ponyta pushed against the one Sirfetch'd's shield, Grookey was quickly getting pinned by the others leek, his stick not doing enough.

"Morpeko use Crunch!"

"Ponyta use Dazzling Gleam!"

"Grookey use Bullet Seed!"

"Sirfetch'd use Meteor Strike!" Both Sordward and Shielbert said.

"If anyone has a better Pokémon, now would be the time to use it!" Marnie said as their Pokémon were swatted away like flies. "Grimmsnarl's exhausted from 3 Dynamax battles."

"Corvinight is still KOd." Chloe said.

"Delphox and Mandibuzz are exhausted from rushing to Circhester, and Sylveon isn't doing much better." Serena said.

Atop the tower

"Marshtomp use Hydro Pump!"

"Aegislash use Sacred Sword!"

The two Pokémon were trying their best, but it still wasn't much again Eternatus, and there was still no reaction from the sword.

"I don't know how much longer we can keep this up." Ash said panting.

"You don't need to." Seb said coming in for a landing.

"Seb! Where's Goh? And Serena?" Ash asked.

"Serena went to look for you, and Goh…". Seb began, but was unable to finish as Goh crashed into him.

"I'm alive!" Goh said stunned.

"Good, now focus, we need all the help we can get." Ash said, handing Goh the Rusted Shield.

"Right. Drizzile come on out!"

"Mamoswine it's time."

"Marshtomp use Rock Slide!"

"Aegislash use Flash Cannon!"

"Drizzile use Water Pulse!"

"Mamoswine use Ice Fang!"

The four Pokémon doubled the efforts, striking at Eternatus, pushing the cannon Pokemon back. A blast from the Pokémon shot back, causing trainers and Pokémon alike to flinch.

"Any time now!" Seb yelled angrily.

"They don't exactly have an on switch." Goh said, trying to get the rusted shield to work.

"They just activated last time, I don't know what's different." Ash said.

"We have a problem!" Piers said. A purple energy was beaming down from the sky onto Eternatus.

"We need a miracle." Ash gulped.

Back at the base

Serena watched in horror as a large purple beam shot down the entirety of the tower.

"We need to get up there now!" Serena said.

"How, none of our Pokémon are strong enough?" Chloe said.

"I have an idea, but I need time." Marnie said, pulling out her phone.

"You heard her. Grookey use Bullet Seed!"

"Ponyta use Confusion!"

"Haven't you ladies realized, you've already lost." Sordward said. "Sirfetch'd use Leaf Blade."

"Sirfetch'd use Iron Defense." Sordward said.

Ponyta was knocked back into a stand, while Grookey's attack was completely blocked.

"Just give up now, this is pitiful." Shielbert said.

"If there's one thing I learned from Ash, it's to never give up." Chloe said. "Ponyta use Stomp!"

"Right, we'll keep fighting as long as we can. Grookey use Branch Poke!" Serena said.

Grookey and Ponyta charged forward at the two Sirfetch'd again, both clearly exhausted but sharing their trainers' ambitions.

"Such a pity. Sirfetch'd finish the small one with Meteor Assault." Sordward said.

"Sirfetch'd take the Ponyta down with Slam." Shielbert said.

As the two opposing groups of Pokémon collided, a light engulfed them.

'Rapidash has been registered to your Pokédex.'

'Thwackey has been registered to your Pokédex.'

The light faded, showing Rapidash now holding down one Sirfetch'd, while Thwakey was holding back the others leek with relative ease.

Pulling out her phone, Chloe saw a new move for her to use. "Rapidash use Pyschic!"

Serena followed suit, finding one for Thwackey. "Thwakey use Acrobatics!"

"Sirfetch'd use Iron Defense!" Sordward and Shielbert called out in desperation, as their Pokémon were defeated.

"Fret not brother, we have more Pokémon, while they only have two." Sordward reminded.

"Too true brother." Shielbert agreed.

"Good thing they're not alone." Marnie said. "Guys these two need into the building!"

Out of nowhere dozens of trainers in matching outfits surrounded Sordward and Shielbert.

"Marnie, who are they?" Chloe asked in surprise.

"Remember my brothers groupies, meet Team Yell. Now go, we'll handle this." Marnie urged.

"Thanks Marnie." Serena said as they ran into the building.

Back atop the tower

"Marshtomp use Rock Slide!"

"Drizzile use Sucker Punch!"

"Mamoswine use Ice Fang!"

"Aegislash use Shadow Ball!"

The attacks seemed to be doing next to nothing, as Eternatus fired another beam at them. The tower beginning to crumble at the top.

"You guys need a lift." Seb and Goh's Corvinight Can driver asked.

"Get them out of here." Seb said pointing to Raihan and Piers. "Ash we could use some footing."

"On it!" Ash said, his eyes glowing as a platform appeared below them.

A floor down, Pikachu saw the blue aura beginning to form, he was running out of time. His eyes began to glow blue, as he heard a familiar call, but one he hadn't heard in a while.

"Pikachu use Volt Tackle!"

Pikachu began going at full speed, electricity surrounding him, as he broke through the almost closed barrier, striking back Eternatus's attack.

"Pikachu!" Ash shouted running up to his friend. "Alright, let's do this. Pikachu use Thunderbolt! Marshtomp use Hydro Pump!"

"Drizzile use Water Pulse!"

"Mamoswine use Ancient Power!"

The four attacks blasted Eternatus, as it began to charge its attack.

"Ash! We don't have a tower top!" Seb pointed out.

"Goh! Any time you want to activate the shield would be great!" Ash yelled.

As the beam approached them, Ash threw up another barrier, but it wasn't holding.

"Guys, I can't keep this up, we need a plan!" Ash said.

Marshtomp and Drizzile walked towards the front of the barrier, both water types nodding in agreement. As the barrier broke, the three guys watched in terror, only for the attack to not go through.

'Swampert has been registered to your Pokédex.'

'Inteleon has been registered to your Pokédex.'

A single shot of water, blasted forward hitting Eternatus, and stopping the attack. The smoke cleared revealing Swampert had put up another barrier between them, and Inteleon had taken the shot.

"Guys, it's now or never, I have an idea." Seb said.
