"Ash, how many times do I have to apologize?" Goh asked.
"You know, my entire time going to school, I hadn't missed one day. Then you drag me to the mountains, and I end up with hypothermia. Now because I wasn't aware I was catching it, I'm not healing with my powers." Ash complained. "So maybe apologizing won't work that well this time."
"Maybe I shouldn't have come back, then we wouldn't have had this problem." Goh sulked.
"Goh, just give him more than a day, Ash is in considerable pain right now." Professor Cerise said.
"For now, we need to do a check up. Just to make sure everything is okay. We will let you know when Ash is ready for visitors again." The doctor said.
Later on that afternoon
"Knock knock." Chloe joked as she and Serena entered the room.
"Hey, what are you two doing here?" Ash asked.
"We're here to visit you, what are you doing here? No one has told us." Serena said.
"I caught hypothermia waiting for Goh to get the coin he thinks is linked to Registeel." Ash said. "And while I'm recovering fine apparently at least, they want to keep me here just in case until I'm all good."
"Isn't it terrible? They want to make sure you're okay." Chloe said sarcastically.
"I see Pikachu has found a comfortable spot." Serena said, scratching the Pokémon's head. "I also brought this."
"Great, I'm stuck at the hospital, and I have homework." Ash moaned. "Can't you do it for me?"
"Your grades are better than mine, why do you want me to do it?" Serena said, confused.
"Fine, I'll do it." Ash said. "Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be out of here."
The girls visited for a while before they too had to leave and return to the lab.
"Ash, before we let you sleep for the night, I need to ask you a quick question." A nurse said. "We have a few Munna and Musharna that roam the halls at night, many patients say that they help them sleep, but I need to know if it's okay for you or not."
"I'd rather not, I have some bad experiences with psychic types being in my head." Ash admitted.
"Not a problem, I'll close your door and leave a mark on it so they know." The nurse said.
Throughout the night a new Munna passed by Ash's door at several points. It knew the mark meant it shouldn't go in there, but they could smell the tasty dreams in that room. If they were quick, no one would notice, right? The Munna quietly entered Ash's room, latching onto the trainer's head before enjoying the dreams. As well as pulling something up front, something that hadn't been out for a few years.
"Huh, why is this door open?" A nurse said, looking inside. "No! Get out now." The nurse angrily whispered, shooing the Munna off of Ash. "Oh this isn't good."
The next morning
"Ash, we are required to inform you that a Munna did break in last night and we aren't sure how long it was attached." A nurse said.
"Oh, I didn't even notice. I slept fine all night." Ash said.
"That's good to hear, and better news, it looks like you're all clear. Once a doctor checks to be certain, we can let you go." The nurse said.
"Thank you, that's great to hear." Ash said excited to get out of the room.
As the nurse left to find Ash's doctor, Ash looked at his hands and feet.
"So plain, I wonder if Chloe would still be up for painting them?" Ash thought to himself.
After school
"Ash should be back now, I'm going to stop by and see how he's doing." Serena said.
"Have fun with that, I've got studying to start." Chloe said.
"Ash, you in there?" Serena asked outside his door.
"I'd be careful, he's, not himself." Goh warned.
"What do you mean?" Serena asked as she heard the door open.
"Serena, hi! Come on in!" Ash said excitedly.
Serena entered what at least she thought was Ash's room. The amount of stuffed animals decorating it made it hard to say.
"Ashley? Is that you?" Serena asked slightly concerned.
"No, I'm still Ash." Ash said confused.
"So do you want to explain the stuffed animals then?" Serena asked.
"I think you got me most of them." Ash said looking around.
"I meant why are they out." Serena said.
"I thought that they'd make the room nicer." Ash said. "By the way is Chloe back, I was hoping we could do something together."
"Yeah. I think she's in her room." Serena said worridley.
As Ash pranced off to Chloe's room, Goh stepped back out.
"I see you've met the all new creepier version of Ash." Goh said.
"He didn't hit his head, did he?" Serena asked.
"No, just cold weather. Do you think his psyche just finally cracked and he's gone crazy?" Goh offered.
"I don't think so, it's definitely still him, at least he thinks it is." Serena said.
Late that night
Munna floated into the lab, they had gotten a taste of that trainers dreams, and had become addicted. The nurse had stopped them last night, but this time they'd get a full meal. As Munna ate, old thoughts and feelings kept moving forward and forward, finally back up front. The sun was beginning to rise as Munna floated back out the window and towards the hospital, they knew they couldn't keep doing this, but it was worth the risk.
"Ash, are you okay?" Goh asked, looking at the trainer in confusion.
"Just fine why do you ask?" Ash said, brushing her bangs away from her eyes.
"Is that makeup?" Chloe asked.
"I've had it for a while, and it started just as something to cover a pimple, but I just couldn't help myself." Ash said. "Is the lipstick too much?"
"No, I don't think that's it." Serena said.
"Good, I was worried about that." Ash said giddily.
"And a petticoat under your skirt?" Chrysa asked surprised at the sudden burst of femininity.
"I try and look pretty for once, and all you can do is question it." Ash said.
"No, you look very err pretty. It's just a sudden change is all." Goh backtracked.
"I'm just trying something new." Ash said. "Is that so wrong?"
"Well as long as you're happy, then we're happy for you." Serena said.
As soon as Ash left the kitchen, Chloe turned back to the rest of them.
"Anyone else think something is very wrong with Ash?" Chloe said.
"I wasn't going to mention the very clearly stuffed bra." Chrysa said.
"Or the tights?" Serena said.
"Even I know heels on tile floor when I hear them." Ren said.
"Could it be Ashley again?" Goh asked.
"No, they're still responding to Ash, and Ashley was feminine but never this bad." Serena said.
"When was the last time Ashley came out?" Goh asked.
"I believe Ash was fifteen at the time, why do you ask?" Professor Cerise said.
"From what I've heard, Ashley's filled in the gaps before, who's to say the girly girl didn't turn into a flirt." Goh said.
"From what though, Ash got help to remove the trigger phrases." Chloe said.
"Maybe something happened at the hospital, we could ask them." Serena said.
"You two need to get to school. Chloe lend us Corvinight. Chrysa I need you to get Mrs. Ketchum, Goh I need you to go to Alola, get anyone who can help bring Ash back.
"Ahh, man I feel refreshed." Ash said. "Wait, what's going on, where am I?" Ash said, fear rising. He could see he was on his way to school, but he wasn't in control. "What happened to me?"
The Adventures of the Mysterious Pokémon
The tan Pokemon was at the threshold of everything it knew. It never knew how it got on the mountain, but that's where it always stayed. Now the tan Pokémon was at the base of the mountain, looking for a clue as to where that human went.
