"Ohio's governor has announced a month long stay at home order to combat the Covid-19 crisis," Daphne told her friends – Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, Velma, and Fred – over Zoom video chat from their respective homes in Coolsville, Ohio. "Solving mysteries during the stay at home order is not advisable. What can we do to make money until the stay at home orders are lifted?"

"Shaggy, how about you and I team up?" Fred asked. "You and Scooby could cook the food, and I could deliver them to homebound people."

"How about you drop them off on the porch by the front door?" Shaggy replied.

Fred nodded. "I think we need a bookkeeper."

"I could do it," Velma replied. "I took a bookkeeping class at a community college. Daphne, didn't you take a marketing class at the same college?"

Daphne nodded. "Do you need me to spread word of mouth about these meals?"

"That's a great idea," Fred replied.

"Some of my students and I are tutoring over Zoom," Velma said. "I probably could pick up additional tutoring hours until your business gets going. Wear a mask if you have to. Stay six feet from people."

"If we run out of masks, then what?" Fred asked.

"I could hand-sew washable masks, have you guys test the fit, and then sell them to help me gain additional cash," Daphne answered. "Will there be Covid-19 testing?"

"I hear Covid-19 testing is free," Velma answered. "There is one location that's offering testing by the hospital."

"I better get tested since I'm the one delivering the food to people," Fred replied.

"Do you remember when I told you that my dad caught Covid-19?" Velma asked her friends over the Zoom video chat.

Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo nodded their heads.

"Well, he passed away last night," Velma continued. "My mom is holding a reading of his will, and I'm invited. I'm free to bring close friends."

"Cases of covid-19 are still high," Daphne replied. "I don't feel comfortable meeting in person."

"Good news is the reading is done over Zoom," Velma said. "The reading of the will be next Friday at 7 pm. I will send the Zoom link ten minutes before the reading starts."

Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, Velma's mom, and Velma's sister (Dottie) gathered on Zoom to read Velma's dad's will. Velma's mom and dad lived in Mudwater while Dottie lived in Arkansas.

"This is the will and testament of Frank Dinkley," Velma's mom read. "My wife will receive whatever's in our joint bank account as well our home and my 401k balance. My oldest daughter, Dottie, will inherit my Honda CRV; my youngest child, Velma, will inherit her great grandfather's home in Mudwater, Ohio. I'll see you on the other side of the rainbow."

"Who was my great-grandfather?" Velma asked.

"I just know two things - his name was Daniel Dinkley and that his birth, death, and marriage certificates and obituary were stored in Frank's safe deposit box at the bank," Velma's mom answered. "I know nothing else."

Once Velma's mom and Dottie left the group video chat, it just left Fred and the gang.

"I want to learn more of my great-grandfather," Velma said. "If we wear masks and social distance, who wants to go with me to visit my great-grandfather's home and my dad's bank?"

Everyone but Daphne agreed to go with Velma.

Daniel Dinkley had a 3-story (6 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms) home painted blue. Frank paid someone to maintain the home, so Velma, who was currently renting, would have a home of her own one day.

"We all could pitch in and maintain the home, so you wouldn't have to pay someone to do it," Fred mentioned.

Velma nodded and directed her friends to the bank, where the safe deposit box was located. In Velma's purse was the key to the safe deposit box, which her mom had mailed to her. Her mom already informed the bank of her husband's death. The bank was waiting for Velma to come, take out the contents of the safe deposit box, and close it out.

Velma took the obituary out of the safe deposit box and read it. "Daniel Dinkley, husband of Velma Dinkley and father of Molly and Patrice Dinkley, died of heart failure on March 18, 1981. He started his career as the hitman for the Mudwater Mob – a notorious Italian crime family, who owned the iron mine in exchange for the town to turn a blind eye to their criminal doings. The lake near Mudwater became muddy from the mine's pollution hence the town's name Mudwater. It is rumored that when the mine became unprofitable in 1915, the mob disbanded. Frank was never prosecuted because the evidence linking him to his crimes were scarce. He decided to join the Army, served during World War One, and then became an FBI agent."

The gang returned home and informed Daphne, Dottie, and Velma's mom of their findings.

"Hey, have you heard of the COVID vaccines?" Daphne asked her friends as they video chatted over Zoom from the comforts of their homes.

"I hear they are going to be free and highly effective against COVID," Velma answered.

"When can we get the vaccines?" Fred asked.

"The state is prioritizing healthcare workers and residents living in long-term care homes to receive the COVID vaccine first," Velma answered. "Then everyone else is given a chance to receive the vaccines depending on what group they are part of."
