"Okay, so the Corvinight Cab to the Isle of Armor leaves at three." Ash said, passing out the tickets. "They'll pick us up at the Meetup Spot in the Wild area. So until then we're free to do what we want."
"What are you up to?" Serena asked curiously.
"Get into something slightly more comfortable, and then head to the Wild area for some training." Ash replied. "Watch my bag please."
A bit later in the Wild area
"You know when you said more comfortable, I thought you meant something other than taking off your binder." Serena complained.
"You try wearing one and tell me it feels comfortable." Ash said. "Now Snorlax use Hyper Beam!"
The beam shot off in the distance, as an explosion went off in that direction.
"Did you do that?" Serena asked surprised.
"I don't think so, we should check that out." Ash said, rushing to where the explosion was.
"Look! Up ahead!" Ash called out. A large Pokémon was flying high above, attacking something.
"What is that?" Serena said pulling out her phone.
'Butterfree, Gigantamax form. Stay away from the powder.' Serena's rotophone said, as a sparkly powder fell around them.
"Serena look out!" Ash said trying to extend a barrier, but it was too late. Serena was fast asleep.
"Ash! Am I glad to see you're awake." Raihan said running up. "And wearing pants."
"What happened to Serena?" Ash asked.
"She's just asleep, but I've been chasing this Butterfree for a while here, and I'm almost out of awake Pokemon." Raihan said. "Think you can help out?"
"You got it!" Ash said. "Pikachu get their attention with Thunderbolt!"
The bolt of electricity flew up and into the air, striking Butterfree as it returned its attention to the two trainers.
"Okay, you have its attention. Now what!" Raihan panicked.
"I don't know, I just went with my gut!" Ash said as they began running away from the Butterfree.
"Then we fight. I'll attack high, you attack low." Raihan said, grabbing a Pokeball. "Blastoise, it's time to Gigantamax!"
"Blastoise!?" Ash said in shock and confusion. Raihan had used a full team against Eternatus, but didn't bring a set of big guns like a Blastoise!
"Melmetal, Snorlax! Come on out!" Ash called out.
"Blastoise use GMAX Cannonade!"
"Melmetal use ThunderPunch! Pikachu use Thunderbolt! Snorlax use Hyper Beam!"
The mysterious Pokémon had finally caught up, seeing the human and a yellow one engaging in a battle with a much larger creature.
"Those sparks, I wonder if I could do that as well." The Pokemon said as a gust of wind threw everyone back.
"Be ready, the spores are coming!" Raihan said.
Ash quickly threw up a barrier, blocking them from the attack.
"Alright! Still not sure how you do it, but I'm not going to argue. Blastoise use Max Darkness!"
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt! Melmetal use Double Iron Bash!" Ash called out.
Butterfree swatted back Melmetal with ease, the metallic Pokémon hurdling straight for Ash.
"Fant fant fant fant fant!" An Orange Pokemon chanted, rolling Ash out of the way.
"What in the? It's you! The Cufant from before!" Ash exclaimed.
"FANT!" The Cufant said nuzzling Ash.
"It's good to see you to, but I need to stop that thing." Ash said, pointing at the Butterfree. "Wait you just used Rollout! Do you think you could do it again?" Ash asked.
"FANT!" Cufant cried out in agreement.
"Pikachu we need a ramp. Use Iron Tail!" Ash called out.
"Blastoise keep em occupied with GMAX Cannonbade!" Raihan declared.
"Now Cufant use Rollout!" Ash said.
The Cufant sped off the rock ramp, straight into Butterfree, knocking it to the ground. The Dynamax energy dispersing soon afterwards.
"Quick thinking Ash." Raihan complimented. "With the Butterfree back to normal, anyone affected should be waking up soon."
"Thank Cufant, I just came up with the idea." Ash said. "Speaking of which, you came and found me out of nowhere. Were you looking for me?"
"Fant!" The Cufant said, pushing Ash to the ground playfully.
"I'll take that as a yes. So how about you join me permanently, we're about to do some special training too." Ash said.
"Special training?" Raihan asked.
"Yeah, I'm about to train at the Isle of Armor." Ash said.
"Man that brings back memories. You know the master of the dojo actually gave me my Squirtle and Leon his Charmander way back when we first started." Raihan said.
"No kidding, so you two trained there?" Ash said in shock.
"Yeah, I've seen how you battle, I think you'll do great things there. All of you." Raihan said.
"That means a lot coming from you." Ash said, grabbing his Pokeballs. "Well Cufant, do you want to come?" Ash asked holding out an empty Pokeball.
"FANT! Cufant said enthusiastically tapping the Pokeball.
'Cufant has been registered to your Pokédex.' Ash's phone said.
"Ash? What happened?" Serena asked walking up.
"For us, nothing unusual. A giant Butterfree attacked." Ash laughed.
"Fair enough. What time is it by the way?" Serena asked.
"About 2:30, why?" Raihan said.
"We need to get to the meetup spot, and fast." Serena said.
The three trainers took off in a sprint heading towards the southernmost point of the Wild area.
"Hey! Wait up!" The mysterious Pokémon cried out. Their smaller legs not as fast as those humans.
"It's about time you two showed up." Chloe scolded.
"The cabs been here for a bit, are we all set." Goh said.
"Yeah, see you again Raihan." Ash said, shaking the gym leaders hand.
"Until next time Ash." Raihan said, as he watched them leave over the ocean.
"I really hope I can swim." The Mysterious Pokemon said, clinging onto the cab for dear life.
