Hey guys! I hope you enjoy the chapter! After this it will be the Minific- which I am very much looking forward to- it should make some things later have a bigger impact I'll say that much.
Replies:
The Official Clarisse: Yeah, I know they are, but hey a bit of fluff is always welcome- you'll get a nice dose of fluff in the minific- though there'll be the whole underlying fact that you know I never do things the easy way- and also something in the first chapter that'll make you know the happiness won't last forever. And I did see your review but it came through after I posted lol- and I can't confirm or deny if their coming.
Undeath9087: Yeah, you get more of the emotional connection which you then go 'whoops, bye bye' and it's sadder. And I can neither confirm nor deny your theory I am afraid. Though I will say that there's gonna be even more guilt than there was in cannon for those who didn't fall.

There was a moment of stunned silence before Thalia blurted out; "Jason what the fuck are you talking about?"

"What's Camp Jupiter?" Luke asked, glancing at Chiron, "Chiron do you know what they're talking about?" and Chiron closed his eyes, a pained look on his
face.

"I swore upon the River Styx never to speak of it. After the American Civil War, the gods were so horrified by the toll it took on their children, that they swore it would never happen again. The two groups were separated. The gods bent all their will, wove the Mist as tightly as they could, to make sure the enemies never remembered each other, never met on their quests, so that bloodshed could be avoided. This map is from the final dark days of 1864, the last time the two groups fought. We've had several close calls since then. The nineteen sixties were particularly dicey. But we've managed to avoid another civil war—at least so far. Just as Leo guessed, this bunker was a command centre for the Hephaestus cabin. In the last century, it has been reopened a few times, usually as a hiding place in times of great unrest. But coming here is dangerous. It stirs old memories, awakens the old feuds. Even when the Titans threatened last year, I did not think it worth the risk to use this place."

"What-" Beckendorf frowned, "That doesn't explain anything-"

"It does." Jason spoke up, "Roman and Greek demigods have fought throughout history."

"Are you saying- that there's a whole other camp for Roman demigods?" that came from Kayla, "That's- we'd have known-"

"Not if we were kept apart." Jason pointed out, "and we have been until now. We had no clue about you guys. We were told that the gods defeated Kronos-"

"What-" Luke's eyes widened and he looked furious, "they took credit for what Pe-"

"Luke-" Chiron's tone was sharp, "As much as I understand your anger, it was done to keep the camps from learning of each other, not to steal the credit from your sister."

"It's still fucked." Luke snapped the words, and Thalia grabbed his hand, squeezing it tightly.

"So is that part of the reason you were taken away?" Thalia asked, her eyes glued to Jason, who nodded.

"I think so. We were never supposed to mix- what dad did was not smart."

"So why now?" Nico's eyes were narrowed, "Why are we mixing now then? Why did Hera send you to us?"

"Because of Gaea." Leo spoke up, "We don't stand a chance of stopping her on our own. We need to work together- the prophecy. Remember what it said? To
hope to win worlds must unite. Held together by the twice liveds light. That has to be Jason. He died and he came back. Hera told him he was a bridge."

"It won't be easy." Chiron sounded very, very worried, "The history-"

"Chiron what choice do we have?" Leo asked sharply, "It's happening. Greece and Rome have to make peace to fight Gaea- all of this was meant to happen. Gaea and Hera have both been preparing for this for years-"

"What do you mean?" Chiron's eyes narrowed.

"Gaea had my mom killed because she found out I was one of the seven." Leo spat the words, "And Hera's been trying to turn me into a hero since I was a baby because she knew too. And there's this." he moved forward, slapping his drawing down onto the table, spreading it out. "I drew it when I was little, the last time I saw Hera before the Labyrinth. She told me it's time would come. Aeolus returned it to me-"

"Uh, Leo-" Luke's voice was hesitant, "It's a crayon drawing of a boat."

"Look." He pointed at the largest schematic on the bulletin board—the blueprint showing a Greek trireme. Slowly, his cabinmates' eyes widened as they compared the two designs. The number of masts and oars, even the decorations on the shields and sails were exactly the same as on Leo's drawing.

"That's impossible," Nyssa said. "That blueprint has to be a century old at least."

"'Prophecy—Unclear—Flight,'" Jake read from the notes on the blueprint. "It's a diagram for a flying ship. Look, that's the landing gear. And weaponry—Holy Hephaestus: rotating ballista, mounted crossbows, Celestial bronze plating. That thing would be one spankin' hot war machine. Was it ever made?"

"Not yet," Leo said. "Look at the masthead."

There was no doubt—the figure at the front of the ship was the head of a dragon. A very particular dragon.

"Festus," Piper said. Everyone turned and looked at the dragon's head sitting on the table.

"He's meant to be our masthead," Leo said. "Our good luck charm, our eyes at sea. I'm supposed to build this ship. I'm gonna call it the Argo II. And guys, I'll need your help."

"And you'll have it." Beckendorf's voice was firm, "All of us. I was definitely right to pick you Leo. Guys I was going to announce it this evening but since I'm going to college I'm stepping down from my duties and Counselor. Leo is taking over- with Jake looking after things when he's not in camp."

"Oh wow." Nyssa blinked, "Congrats- but- that ship-"

"It's definitely what we need for our journey." Jason admitted.

"What journey?" Thalia looked panicked, "You just got back!"

"We've got to confront Porphyrion, the giant king. He said he would destroy the gods at their roots."

"Indeed," Chiron said. "Much of May's Great Prophecy is still a mystery to me, but one thing is clear. You three—Jason, Piper, and Leo—are among the seven demigods who must take on that quest. You must confront the giants in their homeland, where they are strongest. You must stop them before they can wake Gaea fully, before they destroy Mount Olympus."

"Um …" Nyssa shifted. "You don't mean Manhattan, do you?"

"No," Leo said. "The original Mount Olympus. We have to sail to Greece. And we know who the fourth member of the seven is. We think we'll find the three others at Jason's camp."

"Holy Hades." Luke looked pale, "Who's the fourth?"

"Annabeth." Jason spoke up, "Hera outright told me. We don't know for sure with the other three but we'll figure it out."

"This is a lot." Nyssa was examining the blueprints, "This thing- it'll take us at least a year to build."

"You have six months at most," Chiron said. "You should sail by summer solstice, when the gods' power is strongest. Besides, we evidently cannot trust the wind gods, and the summer winds are the least powerful and easiest to navigate. You dare not sail any later, or you may be too late to stop the giants. You must avoid ground travel, using only air and sea, so this vehicle is perfect. Jason being the son of the sky god."

"I have a question." that came from Clarisse- who had been watching silently- Leo had barely even noticed that she was there. "Where the fuck were the Romans when we were fighting of Kronos? Were they sat on their fucking asses while we had to risk our lives? While we lost good people?" her voice had a dangerous tone, and Leo didn't blame her. The thought that they could have had backup but didn't rankled- if he didn't know what the Romans had been doing he would have probably felt much the same.

"No." Leo shook his head, "Jason, tell them."

"I don't remember everything." Jason admitted, "But I remember some things. And like I told Leo. While you guys fought Kronos we conquered Mount Orthys-"

"Fuck." Luke breathed out, his eyes wide, "So when you told us Mount Orthys just crumbled when Percy-"

"It was a lie told to keep the camps apart." Chiron confirmed.

"I-" Jason rubbed his head, taking a deep breath, "We destroyed the palace-"

"Good fucking riddance." Drew muttered the words, a scowl on her lips- and Leo wondered what she was remembering exactly- though he knew the most likely option.

After all it was where she'd met Percy.

"And I defeated Krios myself."

"Impressive." that came from Nico, who was eyeing Jason carefully, "Not many demigods could pull that off. And I speak as a big three kid who's helped fight Titans before."

"This-" Thalia shook her head, "This is all insane- Jason... I'm coming with you-"

"We'll figure out the full crew later." Leo spoke up, "It's a big ship- and we already know we'll have Rachel as well as Annabeth, it won't just be the seven of us who sail."

"Are you sure?" Chiron raised an eyebrow, "It will be dangerous-"

"Yeah, it will. But let's be honest here, Rachel's going to insist on coming if Annabeth does, you know how they are. But we have time to figure out the crew. We have six months to built the ship, make plans and pick out any extra crew members-"

"And you're going to the Roman camp first?" Clarisse raised an eyebrow, "Why not send someone on ahead?"

"We don't know exactly where it is." Jason admitted, "I know- I have a rough idea- I know it's in the Bay area but- I can't say exactly where. Unless Chiron knows."

"I cannot say. Honestly, even I have never been trusted with that information. My counterpart, Lupa, is not exactly the sharing type."

"And until I remember- even knowing roughly where to go- the camp's heavily veiled with magic," Jason said. "And heavily guarded. We could search for years and never find it."

"So you plan on showing up with a warship instead." Clarisse snorted, "Won't your lot think that we're attacking?"

"You're probably right," Jason agreed. "But we have to try. I was sent here to learn about Camp Half-Blood, to try to convince you the two camps don't have to be enemies. A peace offering. And when we do go back I'll have to try and do the same to my camp. It won't be easy but it's the only chance we have at making this work."

"It seems we have much to do." Chiron looked incredibly worried as he stared at them, "I only hope that your plan will work."

"It has to." Piper shook her head, "It's the only chance we have."

"So much for us getting a break between prophecies huh." Luke's voice was slightly bitter but he gave a wry smile as he wrapped an arm around Thalia's shoulder, pulling her close and squeezing, clearly trying to get her to relax slightly. "So you three. What do we do first?"

"First?" Leo gave a wry smile. "First I get a new phone and call Annabeth and tell her to get back here with Rachel asap. If we're preparing for a war against the giants and Gaea I know who I want right here with us."

"Well." Jason gave a wry smile, "This should be fun."
