Family

"Stay down Yamato!" The large man booms. The young girl beaten, bleeding as she tries to get up, her arms wobble, she grunts, trying to stand. Her body numbs the pain inflicted upon her daily, the man she resents most. "I... will... n..never..." her arms give out, her face crashes Into the ground.

He groans, "Lock her up." He turns to leave, she groans, "DAMN YOU!" She shouts. Her arms get chained in seastone, he turns to her. "Hate me as much as you want, without me, you wouldn't even be alive right now. I'm the only family you have, be grateful you weren't boiled the same as Oden."

She wakes up, panting, sweating under her blanket, her clothes drenched. She tosses the blanket off, sitting on the edge of her bed she wipes her face. She takes slow deep breaths, calming down. "It's over... it's over..." she repeats, turning behind her. Her roommates gone, "Thank god..." she sighs, relieved they didn't see her like this.

She stands up, stretching, she wipes herself down, slipping on a large shirt and shorts. She quickly brushes her teeth, brushes her hair, and shines her horns. As she stares in the mirror, she notices bags starting to show under her eyes, she groans. Ever since she joined the Strawhats these nightmares of her childhood have started.

She sighs, scratching her head. She walks out of the Women's Cabin, she hears the rambunctious crew on the deck, laughter and fun radiating from the end of the hallway. She walks onto the deck, the Captain turns to her smiling, "Hiya! Good Morning Yamato!" She smiles back, "Good morning Luffy!"

The man who did what she couldn't, he took down Kaido. She walks over to Luffy, Usopp and Chopper playing card in the grass. She seats next to Luffy, enjoying the morning breeze through her hair. "You okay?" He asks, she nods, "Just a little sleepy. When's breakfast?" He looks around, he looks at Sanji passing drinks to Nami and Robin. "SANJI!!! WHENS BREAKFAST!!!" He shouts, "SHuT UP!! SOON!!!" Sanji yells back.

He catches Yamato in his sights, twirling over to the Oni, "Yamato-San! Would you like anything~" he knees, she laughs. "Do you have anything to eat?" He stands up "I whip up something!! Be right back!!" He dances to the kitchen, Yamato and Luffy laugh at his antics. "He's a strange one..." she chuckles, Luffy grins "He really likes girls, don't take it personally!"

She glances at Luffy, "Do you like girls? You totally look like a femboy sex icon!" She laughs, Luffy scoffs, "I don't know what that is, but I am into girls!" He crosses his arms irritated. Yamato pats his back, "Oh really~ What kind of girl could possibly be on your mind Captain?" She teases, he thinks for a moment before sighing, "I... don't have one right now. I'm more focused on becoming Pirate King."

She chuckles, it's that dream that beat Kaido. She groans, rubbing his shoulder "Whats your family like?" She asks. He looks at her confused, "Why?" She shrugs, "Just curious." He smiles, "You know my family! Everyone on this ship, is my family!" He laughs patting her back. She smiles, "Does that mean I'm apart of your family now?" He grins, "Of course! We look out for each other, if any of us is in trouble we will be there for them."

She thinks for a second, family, she's never had a family like this. "So, if I need help?" He smiles, "We will help! Your one of us now!" She looks down at her hands, "Luffy-" the cook twirls from the kitchen with a plate of delicacies, "Yamato-San! Your food." He sets the plate down, she groans at his interruption. Luffy salivates over the food, getting yelled at by Sanji.

She sighs, picking up a mikan, peeling it and tossing a slice in her mouth. As she bites it, it explodes with juices in her mouth, covering her tastebuds in fruity soury goodness. She sighs pleasantly, enjoying the taste. Sanji tries kicking Luffy but he bites Sanjis legs, Usopp and Chopper try to pry Luffy's teeth off Sanjis leg.

"Yamato." She looks up to see Robin, "You probably shouldn't eat here-" Luffy goes flying, knocking over the plate of food spilling it all over the deck, covering himself in an array of breakfast foods. Sanji gasps, "Yamato-San my sincerest apologies!!!" He bows, Luffy gobbles up all the spilled food. Robin groans, picking up the plates, "Sorry Yamato, I warned you too late..."

She chuckles, before laughing aloud, "Aw... you guys are hilarious." She wipes a tear, chuckling "Thank you Luffy!" She smiles, he looks at her confused, before smiling and giving her a thumbs up. "Would you like me to prepare some more Yamato-San?" Sanji asks bowing, She shakes her head, "No thanks, I'll wait for breakfast." As Sanji goes back to the kitchen, Luffy plops back next to Yamato, "So what were you saying?"

She smiles, "It's nothing! Thank you for letting me be apart of your family." He grins, wrapping his arm around her waist he holds her close in a big hug, "No need to thank me! I'm just glad you feel at home!" She chuckles, she's never felt so at home before. She feels wanted, cared about, this is the family she's always wanted. Luffy unravels his arm, asking Yamato if she wanted to play cards, she agreed.

A few minutes later Sanji calls for breakfast, prompting everyone to make their way to the kitchen. As Yamato gets up, she's stopped by Robin and Nami, she turns to them, seeing their worried expressions, she sighs, they know. "Are you okay?" Robin asks gently, "You we're twisting and turning in bed last night." Nami presses her hand against Yamato's forehead, really reaching.

"I'm better now." She says earnestly, hoping to blow it off. "Have you talked about it with Luffy?" She groans, "I was but... then all that happened and I just felt better." Nami gently holds Yamato's hand, "Please tell Luffy, he can help. You aren't the only one who's had nightmares." She sighs anxiously, Robin rubs her shoulder, "Even Luffy had nightmares, I think he can help you better than we can." She nods, looking toward the ground.

"We just don't want you to have sleeping problems, sleeping is important, and can really affect you." Nami states, she groans, "Okay.. I'll tell Luffy after breakfast." Nami and Robin smile at her, "You really have faith in Luffy." Robin chuckles as Nami blushes, "He's just... been there for us, so we know he'll be there for you." They hold her hands dragging her to the dining room, Nami and Robin look at each other, giggling they turn to Yamato, who stares confused.

After breakfast Yamato pulls Luffy aside, privately. "So whatcha want to talk about? Is it the think from earlier?" She nods, sitting down on some boxes, she finds a bunch of pillows and blankets behind the boxes. "Uh... I have been having a hard time sleeping." She turns to him, anxiously looking around the room. He hums, "Do you know what's causing it?" He sits next to her, kicking his feet.

She groans, picking up a pillow, it feels a little wet, she assumes it's just cold and hugs it. "I've... been having nightmares... I know you probably get this a lot..." he smiles at her, nudging her shoulder. "You can tell me anything! Where I grew up, they used to say if you talk about your nightmares, you set them free to never bother you again." His smile reassures her, she takes a deep breath. He holds her hand, looking up at her "Wanna talk about it?"

She groans, "It was... about my father... he used to.. beat me and... I was always alone, people feared my father and because of that feared me as well. I felt burdened with this curse, of being his child..." she holds his hand tighter. She takes a deep breath, "I didn't have friends, let alone an actual family..." he hums, "I didn't know my dad... not until recently."

She turns to him, a tear streaming down her face, "I only knew grampa, my brothers, and the people who helped take care of me. Even my grampa wasn't there..." he smiles, "My family, was never really related to me, I cared deeply about them and wouldn't trade them for the world." He holds her hand tighter, looking up at her, "Your apart of this family now. You aren't alone anymore, I'm scared of being alone too. Thankfully I have friends, and now so do you."

She covers her face, sobbing silently, he hugs her. Happiness fills her soul, grateful to Luffy for saving her from a parent that didn't want her. "Thank you... Luffy..." she hugs him, crying into this shoulder. He smiles, rubbing her back. "Feeling better?" He asks softly, she nods, wiping her tears away. "I'm so grateful, to have a family like this." He smiles, "If you need someone to sleep with for a while, I don't mind."

She smiles, "I think I'll be fine, I have Nami and Robin." He gives her a thumbs up, "Cool!" She notices the pillow again, feeling a wet spot on it, she sniffs it, kinda tangy. "Hey Luffy?" He turns to her, stretching, "What's with the pillows and blanket?" He walks over to the box, looking over it. "OH... that's for Guys Night." She looks at him confused, "Guys Night?"

He chuckles, "Sometimes all the guys but me will hang out on an island talking, they called it guys night!" He smirks, feeling smart. "Then what about you? Aren't you a guy?" He nods, "Yea but I hang out with Nami and Robin up in the crows nest." She stares confused, "What do you guys do?" He thinks for a moment, "Well last time we played a card game..." he looks to her, "Do you want to join us next time?" She thinks for a moment, before nodding, "Sure! I'd be happy to hang out with you!" He smiles, "Cool! Now they can stop arguing. Or maybe they'll argue more..."

"Over what?" He looks at her, "My Dick..."

This was really difficult to come up with. I wanted another Luffy Yamato story, this isn't one but foreshadowing to Guys Night 3! I can't believe Guys Night did so well, it's crazy, Guys Night 2 is still kinda low but it'll go up with time hopefully. I hope you enjoyed this... T? K rated story? Cause the sequel to this will be M! If you like this story check out my others ones!
