Omake 9: How to train your Esper (1)

Warning: Xover with Mob Psycho 100
Naerie wasn't sure why her mother had asked her to study this case on dimensional meddling.
She wasn't an expert on the matter by any means, but the older Bear Prime wanted her specifically to study this phenomenon. It could have easily been mistaken as a prank that would fit the Wisdom Crest's brand of comedy. Still, Naerie didn't refuse this request and decided to check why she was 'best suited for this individual' and why she 'could have wiser words' than Ambar. That last bit was actually what got her to frown and ponder in confusion at the odd choice of words picked by the fellow redhead, but she decided to hold back any questions until she was there to check on what was going on.
The good news was that this was no longer a prank. But Naerie could sense some degree of irony as she sat down in front of the quiet teen that was currently looking away from her, giving her brief glances before pulling away. Each glance was filled with unconscious power of some kind which the young woman was familiar with. As she studied the silent human, she took notice of his plain appearance. A rather deceptive sight from what she could discern. The boy had dark bowl-shaped hair and dark eyes. His outfit consisted of a Japanese Middle School male uniform, a typical gakuran outfit with no modification to the original model. He had a rather unsettled look as he was trying to grasp the whole situation even though it's been three hours now since he woke up in this world and was retrieved by the High Prime's specialists.
"I-I'm sorry," He mumbled nervously, his expression mixed between blank and genuine embarrassment. Quite the odd sight to be honest.
"For what?" Naerie replied calmly, her voice betraying no emotions whatsoever as she didn't feel the need to break her usual mask.
"I'm… I'm ogling."
...Had he?
Naerie could definitely see his gaze never went to her body, something many male would as she inherited the 'blessed' physique from her mother as she would more than once brag about with her friends. And she had to admit more than once that she too felt this was the case from the many stares she ended up getting from time to time.
"You are mistaken. Your eyes, they always aim for my face."
A slow nod of agreement. "B-But, it's still wrong. Staring, I mean."
"Perhaps," The redhead conceded. "Yet, your situation does sound intense in your mind. You feel aimless."
A chill went down his spine. "I… I am aimless."
"Currently yes. But not necessarily if you try to find positivity in this situation. Like the fact that you will be brought back to your home to your family and friends," The Bear Prime argued, feeling that something was 'growing' within the boy. A pressure that reached out and left her a bit tense. It wasn't aimed directly at her as it was spreading all around in an equal distribution. It was something similar to Wisdom Magic but less… refined. And dense. "Your name is Kageyama Shigeo, yet you prefer the name 'Mob', right?"
A slow nod, she had gotten this much from a lucky probe actually finding some info about him. The boy was an 'Esper' or a mind-powers user. He wasn't average, far from it. His potential, albeit not fully exposed by the probe, was… troubling. It was the first time she had the chance to tap into something so powerful, but it paled in comparison to the monstrous abyss within herself.
"And you are Xiong Naerie… right?"
That very comment drew out a surprised look on her face. Her eyes widened just a fraction at that move. She barely felt a graze on her barrier, and yet the probe still got through.
"You're rather unique, Mob."
A renewed embarrassed look appeared on his face. "I… I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"Don't apologize. I started this with my unwarranted probing," She interjected calmly. "Which is why, I would like to ask you to calm down if possible. It will not resolve anything."
It didn't work, he was still descending more into his power. A slow rise to… 100?
"I-I'm sorry. It's just that I can't- my brother. He was with me before I blacked out," He answered with worry in his voice. "And- And he wasn't there. Could it be that he got taken by someone else? Who brought us here and-"
"Mob."
Naerie's voice was coupled with a thick layer of Wisdom magic. As she listened to Shigeo, her mind was brought back to… her first snap. The moment where she learned that her powers were beyond what many other users were. The moment she got too emotional, her powers would be let out all at once and could easily clash and keep up with the High Prime's own powers. It was always a dangerous gamble to handle stressful affairs, which is why it took her years spent in partial isolation to get to that point.
Mob reminded her of… her.
"M-Mama, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone… I-I'm sorry!"
The Bear Prime could only grimace inwardly at such a comparison, but she was glad that he seemed concerned about his family rather than left his power out recklessly. So, she decided to ask him something that she would have normally ignored to consider if not for those circumstances.
"Do you want a place to let all those frustrations out?"
The question caught him off-guard.
"W-What?"
"Do you seek a location where you can use your powers without hurting anyone? So that you don't have to hold yourself back for a while?"
His eyes widened. "D-Does a place like this exist?"
A slow nod came from Naerie. "I have some private chambers I normally use for training. Your powers will not destroy anything of value inside it."
There was a tense look on his face as he considered it for a while but the boy knew that he had to. Else, he could end up damaging things and people in the proximity of this facility. So, he nodded and accepted Naerie's hand as she led him to a strange gym-like room to let out all that stress devouring his common sense, trying to drain it out by releasing it all at once. Much to his surprise, the room, albeit a bit roughed up, didn't see anything really destroyed or even damaged. Everything was fine and Naerie calmly waited for him with a water bottle.
She isn't… that bad.

A bit of a fun xover I've been thinking about for a while.
