"Ash! I was worried about you." Serena said, running to him. "You're thinking, what's on your mind."
Ash stared off at the sunrise, small waves crashing onto the beach.
"I spent this time thinking my final challenge here was Mustard, and now it's someone else. We have two days left, and what if I can't do it." Ash said solemnly.
"You restored Urshifu, fought off Darkrai, and beat Mustard, I still consider that a successful trip." Serena said, putting her arms around him.
"I just have no idea what I'm up against." Ash said. This would be a battle unlike any he's had.
Outback in the arena
"So Ash, are you ready to battle?" Honey asked.
"Yep, and I've got a brand new team to take you on." Ash said with a smile. "Torterra, I choose you!"
"Blissey, come on out." Honey called.
"Torterra use Leaf Storm!"
"Blissey use Light Screen."
A pink barrier formed in front of Blissey, but rather than taking part of the attack only, it took the entirety of it.
"No matter, try stopping this! Torterra use Earthquake!"
"Blissey use Blizzard."
Torterra began stomping about, only for a pink wave to wash over him and his attack stop, and then be hit by Blizzard.
"What happened, could it have been attract?" Goh asked confused.
"She would have had to say the attack, or someone's cheating." Chloe said glaring daggers at Klara and Avery.
"It's not us this time!" Avery defended.
"It's mom." A young boy said. "I'm Hyde by the way."
"Nice to meet you Hyde, but what did you mean by it's mom?" Misty asked.
"My mom, or as you know her Honey. She has this gift, any Pokemon she fights just becomes docile, they have no energy to attack, and if they do it just gets snuffed out." Hyde said.
"With powers like that she'd be a world champion easily." Marnie said.
"Or used as a weapon." Serena said. "Ash said that in old times people with aura were sought after as weapons or slaves. That's why she stays here, isn't it?"
"You're clever." Mustard said. "For most of her life she didn't even know of her gift. It wasn't until she met me that she even tried battling, and then that happened. She has no way of stopping it either, once she's in a battle it activates."
"So Ash needs to overpower complete calmness in order to even fight back?" Chloe asked.
"If you even can, I still haven't been able to crack the code on it yet." Hyde said.
"Ash! Use your aura to give Torterra a boost!" Goh yelled.
"I can't! I'm running low and Chloe took my backup!" Ash yelled back. "Goh is right though, I need a new plan."
"Torterra use Stone Edge!"
"Blissey use Fire Blast."
The attack didn't even begin as Torterra simply laid down peacefully, taking the attack without even trying to dodge, being defeated there.
"Torterra return! Come on out Glalie! Use Ice Beam!"
"Blissey use Fire Blast."
Glalie began to charge up an attack, only for it to fizzle out before he was blasted back by the fire attack.
"Glalie use Crunch!"
"Blissey use Fire Blast."
Glalie didn't even move as it was hit again, a smile on its face.
"Glalie retun! So ranged attacks don't work, and neither do up close. But how do you deal with a Pokémon who's already relaxed? Snorlax I choose you!" Ash called out.
"Blissey use Thunder."
"Snorlax use Hyper Beam!"
Snorlax remained completely motionless, fast asleep as it was struck by the electric type attack.
One by one Ash's Pokémon failed at attacking. Snorlax went down after a few more hits. Then Swellow was shot down before it took off. even the normally energetic Totodile was defeated.
"Can't give up. I'll never give up!" Ash yelled. "Pikachu I choose you!" Ash yelled, his eyes glowing bright blue.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
"Blissey use Fire Blast."
Honey and Blissey were unprepared as Pikachu ran forward and slammed into Blissey dealing heavy damage.
"Incredible! I think that's the first time a Pokémon has pulled off an attack on mom!" Hyde said in shock.
"How is he doing this?" Mustard asked.
"Like Honey, Ash can use Aura, however his works a little differently where he powers up his Pokémon." Chloe said.
"But because of your choices, who knows how long he can keep this up. Especially after facing Darkrai yesterday." Serena said worriedly.
"Gotta give it more! Gotta give it everything I've got!" Ash said, trying to force the aura soul. "PIKACHU USE THUNDERBOLT!" Ash screamed.
A bolt of electricity flew from Pikachu towards Blissey, a large boom was heard as it hit.
"Ash!" Serena called out, seeing the trainer begin to collapse.
"I did it. I hit the unhittable." Ash said as he, Pikachu, and Blissey collapsed from exhaustion.
A bit later
"Honey there has to be something to help him!" Serena begged.
"Serena I wish I could help, but I know very little about my powers, much less how to restore them." Honey said.
"There has to be something we can do to get Ash out of this state." Chloe said. "Normally we'd use his garden, or one of the fruits from the tree."
"Both of which are in Kanto, and it's not like Ash can be moved right now." Goh said.
"Maybe we don't have too." Hyde said. "In the past, there was a max soup used to bring out extra power in Urshifu, maybe it can do the same for Ash."
"It was going to be your final test. If you're still up for it." Honey said. "If not we can."
"No, I'll get the ingredients back, where are they." Serena said.
"Honeycalm Island, in the Honeycalm sea." Honey said. "The honey from the tree is very powerful, and the Pokemon of the island guard it carefully."
"I'll get it, no matter what. Just hold on Ash." Serena said.
"You don't have to do it alone." Misty said. "Ash is our friend too, plus if you want to get past those Sharpedo, I'm your girl for the job."
"You may be offering to help, but I kinda need to get back to the mainland." Marnie admitted. "I've already stayed longer than I intended too."
"And I still need to research the other tower, but you two should be able to handle getting a jar of honey, right?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, we'll be fine." Serena said.
"I'll keep an eye on Ash here, try to help him recover." Honey said. "I still feel responsible for what happened."
