Robin and Emma enjoy a surprisingly good night, far better than she'd expected, that felt more like a date, even if it was with her love rival. Following recent developments and Merlin's insistence, Killian Jones needs to tell his new girlfriend about a recent 'service' he'd performed for a young couple wanting a child.

Mifflin Street

As she sat down to read, Emma having only been gone half an hour, Regina heard a knock on the front door.

"Seems there really is no peace for the wicked, as Zelena continually reminds me."

She opened it, to the beaming faces of Ruby Lucas, and her fiancée.

"Hi Regina, sorry to bother you. We're hoping to speak to Emma about the wedding? She said it'd be okay to call round?"

"Oh. Unfortunately, she's out tonight with...er...well anyway, she's out."

"Okay, no problem. We said we'd drop off the bridesmaid and page boy outfits for your two. She said she'd check them to see they fit. Carrie said she'd do the adjustments for us, if they don't."

"Carrie? You mean Caroline? Robin's cousin?"

"Yes. Oh, she's a darling! She offered to help with our dresses too, as she's pretty nifty with a sewing machine. It's such short notice, so she said all we needed to do was check measurements, pin them, and she'd make the alterations?"

Regina was taken by her earlier conversation with the only adult relative of Robin's she'd ever met. "I'd like to help too, if you'll allow me? I'll have Honour and Roland try them first thing, and drop them over in the morning? I wanted to speak to her, anyway."

"She said the same about meeting you. If that wouldn't be too much trouble, we'd really appreciate it. Probably a silly idea I know, trying to arrange a wedding in just a few days!"

"So why did you? Why the mad rush?"

"Killian Jones sails Saturday morning, but he offered us the use of the Jolly before he leaves. As a former naval Captain, he can marry us on it. Plus, Tink's decided to sail with him. So's Rosie, Merlin's daughter? And a few of the villagers, and they may be gone some time So we thought we'd take the opportunity."

"Tinker Bell's leaving with Guyliner? She can't just aleave!" The former mayor knew there was nothing to stop her but was still horrified at the thought of losing one of her closest confidants.

"We saw her earlier. Blue gave her back her wings and powers. She's a full-blown fairy again! And she's definitely sailing Saturday. I gather they're heading for Ariel & Eric's place first, then on to Arendelle."

"Blue did that? But she hates her! I definitely need to talk to her tomorrow. She needs to be here, not gallivanting across realms with that diseased pirate!"

"Hey, that's our friend you're talking about!" Ruby retorted. "Killian's done some pretty dubious things in his past, like some others I could mention, but that's all behind him. He's reformed, like you! And he's been more than helpful to us these last few days."

"Besides, Zeus wouldn't send just anyone back," Dorothy added, for good measure.

Even Regina hadn't an answer to that. "Maybe you're right. If the god of the gods himself saw fit, who am I to judge?"

Meanwhile...

The last two hours had gone too quickly for Emma. The food had been magnificent. Nine courses in all, ranging from small lobster entrees to a mammoth Beef en Croute for the main course, various small plates of things she's never tasted before, before finally finishing with the lightest chocolate pudding imaginable. Now they were on to cheese and biscuits, accompanied by the smoothest port ever. All beautifully presented and the tastes sublime. Half the time she wasn't sure what she was eating, but she didn't care. It was all delicious. Wines had been meticulously selected in advance to match each course and she had welcomed every refill. Now here she was, completely stuffed and pleasantly inebriated. Not drunk. Not quite. Just very, very comfortable.

She was surprised just how much she was enjoying the company, too. Five years ago, she'd always remembered Robin Hood as being a stuffed shirt, far too earnest, too serious by half. But now getting to know him, she saw a very different side to the man who was supposed to be Regina's soulmate.

After they'd spent the first few courses talking about their pasts, Robin and Emma had moved on to poking fun at their current arrangement, friends and finally, each other. Robin told her stories about the mischief the Merry Men got up to, the self-important royals they stole from. The people they met. And she was surprised when he showed his talent for mimicry, even impersonating people she knew. Perhaps it was his British accent, as he did extraordinary impressions of Gold and Killian. He even took the piss out of Belle's antipodean accent, exaggerating it with rude remarks she'd never say, some making her howl with laughter.

Then when the laughter stopped, she calmed, looking over the lake in the darkening sky, feeling wistful.

"Getting away from Storybrooke was a great idea, and Regina would love this place! Though I have to admit after all that wine, I'm feeling just a little bit..."

"Pissed?" he filled the pause, earning a glare which quickly turned into a smirk.

"Tiddly! Not pissed, tiddly!" She slurred her words slightly. "And you should know by now, unlike you lot, over here 'pissed' means angry, not drunk."

"Well I'll let you into a little secret," he leant closer to whisper, Emma feeling his warm breath on her cheek. "I'm a bit pissed too, using the proper, English meaning. But I'm not ashamed to admit it, unlike some I could mention!"

Emma was about to counter with a suitably barb, when close to the lake they heard gentle singing and a guitar playing nearby. She looked down to where it came from, as a gondola came into view within feet of their table, a small man singing within while playing a little mandolin. That's when she realized what he was singing.

She rolled her eyes in disbelief. "Disney? You've got to be kidding me?" She looked back at him. "Did you have something to do with this?"

"Um? Sorry, I don't understand. I..." Then he heard the song himself:

"Here you see her,
sitting there across the way.
She don't got a lot to say,
But there's something about her.
And you don't know why,
But you're dying to try,
You wanna kiss the girl."

Emma started laughing. The Little Mermaid, for god's sake? What am I, like twelve? This was the most romantic place she'd ever been to, and now she was being serenaded with a soppingly wet Disney tune by someone who had no idea who she was?

"Yes, you want her,
Look at her, you know you do.
It's possible she wants you too,
There's one way to ask her.
It don't take a word, not a single word,
Go on and kiss the girl!"

Looking back at Robin, she saw he'd also started laughing, trying to control himself. It was obvious he hadn't set this up! He was just as surprised. She liked seeing him laugh. He was a good-looking guy, she thought, her eyes raking over him. And he looks seriously good in that suit!

As her eyes raked appreciatively over the rest of him, she looked up to find him staring straight back, his expression darker:

"Now's your moment ,
Floating in a blue lagoon .
Boy, you better do it soon,
No time will be better.
She don't say a word,
And she won't say a word
Until you kiss the girl."

Emma felt a shiver as his gaze dropped from to her mouth. He bit his bottom lip as they slowly gravitated closer to one another, heads tilting. Then, any without hesitation or awkwardness, accepting what was about to happen, two sets of lips slowly came together. It was warm, tender. Completely different to any kiss they'd shared on Saturday night.

Her jaw widened, Robin mirroring her, neither pulling back. He was more than happy for her to take the lead. To feel, and be, in control. As Emma felt his hand slide against the back of her head, holding her steady, she did the same to him, cupping his cheek, as she slowly introduced a tongue, only for it to be then met and gently massaged by his own.

Saturday's kisses were passionate, urgent, motivated by a dare. This was tender, intimate and somehow, much more sensual.

After what felt like minutes, but probably lasted seconds, he gently unsealed their lips, pulling his head back. For a moment he studied her, her eyes still closed, mouth open, apparently expecting them to reconnect. But as she opened her eyes, she saw the reason he'd stopped.

To her right, a young waitress now stood beside their table, having silently walked along the jetty, holding a small tray in her hand, silver tongs in the other.

"Cognac and coffee, madame, monsieur? Petit fours?" she asked, her tray holding cups, glasses and a tantalus. Her face failing to hide a smirk.

Emma blushed, knowing the girl had seen everything. "Er, yes, sure. Thanks."

The waitress smiled, leaving the small decanter, glasses and a bowl containing small blocks of chocolate and sweets on the table before giving her a wink, unnoticed by Robin. "Bon appetite."

"I wouldn't be concerned," Robin whispered, as the girl left. "After all, they do seem to think we're married! And besides, Regina sort of gave me carte blanche to woo you. So, I do have the queen's permission, after all."

"Woo? Who uses words like 'woo' these days?" she snorted, a noise he found surprisingly endearing.

"People like me…" he leant across, pressing his lips to hers again, continuing where they'd left off.

Back in Storybrooke...

It was late when Rosie Sage and Captain Jones returned to the Jolly. After a long day preparing for the arduous journey ahead, Killian had organized a meeting at the Earl of Locksley for all those wishing to join the voyage. A lot more people had joined the party than expected. After making selections and finally bidding farewell until the day prior to sailing, the pair of them slumped onto his bed in the Captain's quarters.

She noticed a serious looK. "Something wrong?"

He hesitated. "No, love. It's just something your father said. We need to talk."

Rosie gulped in alarm. What's he said? Has dad threatened him if I go with him? "He didn't do the big 'daddy bear' bit, did he? Has he threatened to slice you limb from limb, if you soil his precious daughter? Because if he has, I will seriously bollock him! It's not as though I'm some naïve little virgin he neeeds to protect any more! He knows I-"

"Calm yourself! He's said nothing of the sort. Well, not directly, anyway. He's fully aware of our situation."

"'Situation'? That's a odd way to describe it!" Where was he going with this?

"Our relationship, love. He knows we're together and he's right to be concerned. He hasn't warned me off. He just wants you to know fully what you're getting into. And he is right. I am a damaged soul, after all."

"Kill, we're both damaged souls! We've spent the last two days talking about this. I know you were a pirate, a villain, a thief, murdering, pillaging and raping as you go…"

"Maybe a bit of pillaging lass, but never raping! I could never hurt a lady, nor a child, though my actions may have caused hurt regardless."

"Nonetheless, Zeus would never send back anyone who hasn't reformed! Dad knows that, which is why he probably trusts you."

"All the more reason why I need to tell you some more recent history. It's important, love. I've strong and growing feelings for you, but as you are aware, I am still raw from a recent relationship. I need to be completely honest, so you can make a judgment whether to come with me on this voyage, or not. I don't wish to mislead you. Ever."

She sat on the edge of the bed next to him, taking his hand. Was there some horrible recent history? A murder? Other women on the go - did he long for another?

"Okay, I'm listening. I know about Emma. But first let me ask you two questions? One, is there any other woman now in your life I should be aware of? Any other relationships?"

He sighed. "No, I swear. I'm over Emma, though I admit, it still hurts."

"Yes, I know. Two, do you have any children I should be aware of? You're over two hundred years old, so I understand if you have. You're bound to have left a few wenches up the duff in your time!"

He chuckled, but his face remained serious. "You're right, love, there may well be a few but I'm not aware of any. Though the topic of other women is relevant. It concerns Ruby & Dorothy."

"What about them?" Why would a gay couple be a concern? Unless… "You've slept with one of them, is that it? But getting married on Friday! Tell me you didn't?"

"Again, calm yourself. I need to tell you this because it's important. While I want you with me, you might change your mind after I tell you. But it needs to be said in confidence. Can I trust your silence?"

She nodded, urging him to continue. "Go on."

"Two days before you arrived, I encouraged them to marry. For Ruby to do what she's been avoiding for so long and propose to the girl. They want a child, you see? They went to your father, asking about magical babies, or some such. Something about creating a child that was truly a part of each of them. He told them that there was a way, but to do so required seed from a man with magical abilities, even if they are slight. So they asked me."

"And I take it you agreed? You're their donor, is that it?"

"In a manner of speaking, yes. I gave them several donations, the night before you arrived. Your father was fully aware, and assisted in storing it for them, to use over the coming months, if first attempts fail. So yes, I agreed to help them get pregnant. Furthermore, I said that if successful, I'd like to be in the child's life if he or she wished it, rather than remain anonymous. I wouldn't want it to be a dirty secret."

As Rosie quietly processed this new information, he gradually grew concerned at her silence but held her hand as she contemplated the news. Finally she broke it.

"Actually Killian, I think it's rather lovely. You did a good thing."

"I did?"

"Yeah. You had a couple desperately wanting a child of their own, and you've made it possible. I hope it works. And you're right about being in the baby's life. Any child wants to know where they've come from, and not telling them about their biological mother or father if you know or it's an anonymous donor, seems unnecessarily cruel. I understand."

They sat together quietly before another thought popped in Rosie's head. "I should tell them I know."

"Wait, what? Why?"

"I saw the look on Dorothy's face when I kissed you. She's a woman Killian, and she can see we're getting closer. They may hesitate in using the samples if they think we're going to be in a relationship. They may think I'd be annoyed if there was a little Killian wandering around Storybrooke in future, wanting to spend time with his dad. I would in their position. I need to tell them I know and that I'm okay with it, and just go ahead and use it!"

"You're a remarkable woman, Rosie Sage."

"And you're a remarkable man, Killian. As I said, Zeus doesn't save just anybody! He gave you powers and a fresh start. He knows about this sort of stuff."

"I guess. However, there is a small addition to the tale, I also need to add. I'm afraid this is the awkward bit." He hesitated, considering how to explain. "Well, the night Ruby proposed, your father performed some sort of magic to combine their eggs, ready for the seed, as it were. After which, I went up to their rooms to make my own…contribution."

Rosie chuckled at his embarrassed look. "You were a wanker? It's okay, Killian, that's a rather necessary part of the process."

"So I discovered. However, the situation was unique. We talked for some time before, just the three of us. Ruby told me that she never even knew she was bisexual till she fell in love with Dorothy. And Dorothy then admitted that she'd never been with anyone, man or woman, till Ruby arrived. I admitted that in my past, I'd also had encounters with other men. We shared a few drinks and well, things developed from there…"

Rosie's eyes widened as it gradually dawned on her where the conversation was heading. "Oh my god! You're saying you fucked Dorothy Gale? Is that it? She wanted to try it with a man, so you…obliged?"

"Well, as we're being honest, I actually 'fucked' both of them. As I said, we'd all had a good few drinks. Dorothy was curious, and Ruby encouraged it. I was now single, so I felt there was no harm, it was also in a good cause, and we were all willing. Early the next morning, I also left a sample I should have given the night before. I'm sorry, I'm feeling rather ashamed of myself now."

She looked him in the eye, her own face betraying no hint of emotion or reaction to what she heard. Killian stiffened, hoping she would at least say something. But he couldn't bear the silence.

"I quite understand if this changes things between us, Rosie. I just needed you to know the truth." He looked sheepish.

"I don't believe it!" She said as he stood. "Any other guy I know who'd had a threesome with two hot women, would be shouting it across the rooftops by now! "Look at me, I banged two girls at the same time! Aren't I a stud?" But not you, you're embarrassed?"

"Well love, even though it was before you and I met, I don't normally go in for that sort of thing."

The brunette moved in front of him. "Well to be fair, you're still, technically, a single man. And a bloody good looking one. You were already on the rebound and, hell, if that sort of opportunity was offered to me, I'm not sure I would have refused either! I think I understand. It's come as a surprise, but I have no issue with it. Though I will talk to Ruby and Dorothy, as it would be stupid for them to stop the chance of a happy life with a baby, just because of me being with you. Personally, I think you'd make a great daddy." With that she kissed him, sighing as his arms pulled her in.

"I thought you were tired, Miss Sage?"

"I will be. Soon. You'll see to that, Mr. Jones?"

Mifflin Street

It was just after two in the morning when Regina finally heard their car pull up outside. Or to be more accurate, sensed it. Sensed them. Them. Emma and Robin. Earlier, the former queen had tried to settle in bed with a book but sleep just refused to come. She'd had a hot chocolate and even two whiskies, but it wasn't working. And she knew why. She was desperately waiting to see how they had got on. Without her. On their own. It was the fear of losing one of them, which led her to this, to her suggesting Robin took her wife out on a date.

You're playing with fire, Mills. You're hanging your marriage out of the window! She told herself, as she realized the risks. What had they had talked about? What if she hated him? Had they fought? Had they got on? And if they had, then what?

Slipping a dressing gown over her nightdress, she looked out the window to see her wife slowly and inelegantly clamber out the back of the large car, aided by another figure who had opened the door. Presumably the chauffeur, Robin's doppelgänger. Emma appeared to be leaning in, whispering something, laughing before being joined by Robin, from the other side of the car. My Robin. She smirked as she saw the blonde, clearly worse for wear, continue to stumble, latching onto Robin's arm. "Oh Emma, how many drinks have you two had?" she whispered to herself as the pair headed up the drive to the front door. Regina decided to tiptoe down to grt them, before hovering behind the door, trying to eavesdrop on their conversation from the other side.

"Ssshhhh!" her wife hissed noisily outside. "It's late!" she slurred, louder than expected.

"You don't say?" came the deeper voice, sounding only a little less drunk. "I thought it was early morning!"

"Early…late…whatever. They're shleeeeping, so you need to keep it down!" she over-pronounced every word, while attempting to whisper, unsuccessfully.

"I never thought I had it up?" he chuckled childishly, prompting an even louder laugh from her.

"You did Saturday!" she cackled, rapidly turning into a giggling fit. Behind the door, Regina also silenced a laugh. Jeez, they're both completely wasted! But she carried on listening.

"Thang…thank you for a nice little evening, Rob…Dobbin."

"Dobbin? Dobbin! I'm not a bloody donkey!" He started giggling too.

"Could have fooled me? You're hung like one!" she said it before she could stop herself, setting them both off, tears of laughter in their eyes.

"Shush, shush! Bad girl! Whatever would your wife think of such smut?"

"Her? She ruder then me! Last week after we left mum's, Gina said-" she stopped as the door she was leaning against opened rapidly to reveal her wife sporting a very pointed glare at her spouse, clearly intended to stop any revelation in its tracks. Emma initially looked shocked although collapsed back into giggles again as she enjoyed the look on the brunette's face.

"Gina! My lovely, lovely, wifey!" She blurted out, followed by a loud belch, the volume of which caused Robin to also giggle again, like a schoolboy. Regina tried to look annoyed but seeing the ridiculous state of the pair couldn't hide a smile, turning to face Emma while addressing him.

"Robin, I thought you were going to take care of her? Yet here she is, completely hammered! What do you have to say for yourself, hmm?"

"I have to say…do you have any decent scotch in there?"

Regina fought hard not to laugh. "The best, but I think you've both had more than enough alcohol for one evening, don't you? Are you coming in for coffee?"

He shook his head, turning to his date. "Thanks, but best not. I need my beauty sleep. Em-ma, it's been a lovely evening, I really enjoyed getting to know you at last. We should do it again soon – perhaps next time Gina could join us?" Stepping in front of the former sheriff, he rested his hands on her upper arms, placing a small chaste kiss on her cheek. Emma was slow to respond due to all the booze swimming around in her head.

"Umm…yeah…it was lovely. Thanks Robin..." she slurred. From the corner of her eye she saw Regina smirking at their awkward interaction. A little look of devilment came over here as she remembered what the brunette said earlier about her date. "Wait! Erm…the food was fab, but I enjoyed the company too. Nothing like I imagined it. You're not as stiff as I thought."

"Not stiff? Be fair Emma, we did have waiters watching! I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted!"

At that, all three started chuckling, including Regina. "When you two have quite finished flirting, I need my beauty sleep! So Robin, I'll bid you goodnight…" She stepped in front of him, and he immediately released his hand from Emma's shoulder to place it on Regina's, gently drawing her closer.

"You've never needed anything to enhance your natural beauty, sleep or otherwise. G'night, Regina." With that, he tilted his head, placing a parting peck on her cheek; but instead she mirrored him, tilting her face and capturing his lips with her own in a warm, not-too-heated, kiss.

Emma watched them as their mouths parted. "Hey, not fair! I get a lousy peck on the cheek, and she gets a proper one?"

Robin smirked back at the brunette, silently asking permission.

"Be my guest." she breathed.

He turned his head, now capturing Emma's lips with a more enthusiastic kiss, which her responded to in kind, before stepping back. "That one any better?"

"It'll do. G'night Robin. Sleep well."

"You too, miladies. Pleasant dreams."

At that, he walked back to the car, his doppelgänger giving him a wry smile.

Regina took Emma straight to their room, before stripping the drunk woman of her now ruffled dress and shoes, before rolling her gently into the sheets, where she fell into an immediate sleep. "And goodnight to you too, Swan." She smirked, before preparing herself for bed.

Wednesday morning – Granny's Diner

It had been a busy morning at the café. Expecting the usual early morning dribble of diners, Ruby had instead been astonished to see six of the dwarves waiting patiently outside for her to open. On seeing Sneezy, she broke into a smile.

"Hello Mr. Clark! Lovely to see you back with us?"

"Good to see you, Rubes. But it's only thanks to the Sorcerer I got out of that bloody tree! I thought Emma or Regina could've helped."

"Emma tried, she really did! So did Regina, and even Gold. But you were just outside the town line, weren't you? They said something about magic being much weaker there? I'm sorry."

"Five bloody years! Then Merlin comes along, gets me out and fixes my ruddy sinuses too. Look, no more sneezing? The bloody so-called heroes only fix things when it affects them!"

She sighed. She knew there was no point trying to persuade him otherwise. "I'm sorry Mr. Clarke, it's been a tricky few years, what with George taking over and everything. Still, that's in the past, yeah? Your friends come to celebrate?"

Sneezy's eyes twinkled. "Well that, and partly because of Nova n' Grumpy. You know about that?"
"Seems Blue's let Nova leave the convent to be with him. So, they're properly together and he's now got that stupid look about him? Guess we'll be changing his nickname back to Dreamy!"

"Blue just let her be with Leroy? I thought she was dead against fairies mingling with the rest of us? That's partly why Tink left!"

"She was. But I think Merlin had something to do with it. He seems to have straightened her out. Anyway, never mind all that. I haven't had breakfast for five years and I'm starving! You still do a Granny special?"

"We do, in her memory. A full heart-busting fry-up with a big jug of tea?"

"Bring it on, sister!"

As Ruby gave him her usual flirty wink (as she did with everyone), she turned back to shout the order down to Franco in the kitchen. Just as she did, Merlin's brunette daughter come through the front door, followed by a flushed-looking former pirate.

The tall brunette walked over to the counter, not taking her eyes off Ruby. Killian chose to hang back, excusing himself to speak to the gathering of dwarves and fairies assembled in the corner.

"Ruby, Can I have a minute?" Rosie deliberately kept her voice down, while only then noticing Killian hadn't joined her.

Ruby saw a look of concern. "Something wrong?"

"Could we go somewhere more private? Maybe Dorothy could join us?"

That's when it dawned on her what it could be about. Killian's sample! Or more importantly, whether she and her fiancée could use it. She usual happy grin deflated, realizing Killian had probably changed his mind, especially now he had a new girlfriend! No man would want to run the risk of being a father when he was involved with someone else. "Er. Give me a moment? I She's in the kitchen and I have to go down anyway. Why don't you wait in our lounge at the back? Just there, and first on the right?" She pointed, leaving Rosie to find her own way through to the private room.

"Rosie, you okay?" Killian appeared on her right. "I'll come in with you, if you want?"

"No, it's fine. Let me do this on my own? Please?" she asked.

The former pirate nodded silently. "As you wish, love."

~oOo~

She stepped into the little lounge. It was nicely furnished, and she couldn't help noticing one wall covered with lots of recent photos of the two women with various people she recognised. On one shelf, she saw them standing either side of a female couple she recognized. Killian's former girlfriend, and the dark haired woman she was told was the former mayor. Looking at their elegant dresses, although they weren't white, as they held small bouquets it looked like it had been taken on their wedding day. They appeared to be standing outside a registry office which was probably not Storybrooke. Ruby had a young girl in her arms, who she recognised from the children playing outside the Locksley pub. A small informal wedding, though Rosie thought it odd there were no other guests in the picture and no other pictures of the day? No parents, no children, no more friends? Perhaps it was just a photo for them, the rest of the wedding guests out of shot?

Her gaze fell on several other pictures taken with various families, particularly the children and babies. She picked up one framed photo of Dorothy holding one blonde baby close, with a look of adoration. Ruby was leaning over her side, planting a kiss on the little one's cheek. That one picture told Rosie she was making the right decision, embarrassing though it may be. As she smiled at the picture, she heard a small cough as someone came in the room.

"That's Alex. Ashley's little girl!" Said a voice from behind. Dorothy, seeing the photo frame in Rosie's hand. "You remember Ashley? At the nightclub? Married to Sean?"

"Yes, of course. Beautiful little girl - just like her parents."

"She's a gorgeous little thing," Dorothy agreed, looking at the young woman whose cheeks were now reddening, not sure where the conversation was going. "Rubes said you wanted a word? Please, take a seat?"

"Thanks. Well, this is a little more awkward than I thought it would be! Dad always told me if I had something to say, just come straight out with it. So here goes." She paused for breath. "I understand you asked Killian to help you with getting one of you pregnant?"

The two women stared back, open-mouthed. Part of Ruby wanted to say it was none of her business, though seeing the kindly look on her face, she hesitated. Rosie saw the discomfort, so jumped back in. "Please, I'm not judging! I'm sure I would have done the same! You want a baby of your own, after all. It makes sense."

Dorothy stepped forward. "Yes, well, it's true. It was originally kinda your dad's suggestion. He said we could unite our eggs, so the baby is biologically both of ours, then use a sperm donor, provided they had magic and, well, they're in short supply, to put it mildly! Killian was single a few days ago, so we asked him."

Ruby saw her fiancée's discomfort and stepped in. "Killian agreed to help, so we have his sample at the hospital, ready for us to use. But as Dot said, he was single then, but clearly isn't now! I understand if you two are together, the last thing you want is him becoming a dad by someone else, even if he's not involved in their life. It'll come between you, so I'll speak to Victor Whale and get them to destroy his sample." The wolf explained, more in embarrassed resignation, than sorrow. "I guess we'll find another way? Somehow."

"No! Wait…no…that's not why I came! I don't want you to destroy it!"

"You don't?"

"No. Look, Killian was, technically is, still single! Yes, it's true we're together, sort of, but it's early days. We're both on the rebound from failed relationships, so we're taking it slowly. However, I'm leaving with him on Saturday, so last night we decided to tell each other everything, warts and all, about our pasts. Bloody hell, that man's got some history! However he also told me about helping you both get pregnant. It's his business, and I had a long think and I decided that I'm okay with it. He said you two would be brilliant mothers, and you deserve this. Seeing these photos here, I can see he's probably right. He also told me he wouldn't want to interfere with your family, but if the little one, or you two, wanted him to be more in his or her life, he would."

"And how do you feel about that?" Dorothy was the first to ask. "What happens if you do decide to marry, and have a kid of your own? Knowing there's another little Killian running around?"

Rosie beamed back at them. "Then it means my baby will have a little brother or sister to play with! Can't be bad, can it?"

Ruby visibly relaxed, the tension dropping. She stepped forward, taking Rosie's hand. "So you're sure you're okay with us using his sample to get pregnant? You're absolutely sure?"

"I'm sure. Who knows, one day, we could be babysitting for each other?"

Without saying another word, Dorothy came closer, wrapping her arms around the younger woman, pulling her into an embrace. "You have no idea what that means to me! To Ruby."

"You're welcome. I hope it's successful. Though one thing I don't understand? Why do you need sperm from a man with magic? Limits your choice, doesn't it?"

Ruby smiled at her fiancée. "That's your father's doing! He performed some sort of weird fertility magic on us. Basically, he's somehow combined mine and Dottie's eggs, while still in our ovaries. So according to him, we'll both be real biological mothers to any baby. Just add sperm, and voilà!"

"I had a feeling Dad would be involved somehow. Two millennia old, and still the incurable romantic! Oops, that reminds me, I have dinner with all the family tonight. My brother and our older sister get into town soon, so I better get off and meet them. So, you're alright now? You're not going to do anything silly like destroy his samples?"

Ruby chuckled. "Well not now! Now we know you're both okay with it. Thanks again, Rosie."

"No problem, though I do have one small favour to ask?" A mischievous smirk played on her lips, as Ruby nodded for her to continue. "I'd rather you two don't have any more actual threesomes with my man?"

Too stunned to answer, the couple looked at one another in disbelief and embarrassment, until she followed it with: "At least, not unless I'm there, I've never had a foursome. A three way with two guys but no foursomes. It's always a though, isn't it? Bye then…" With that, Rosie winked at the pair, before walking out, leaving the stunned couple looking at each other, open-mouthed.

"Did she just suggest what I think she suggested?" Dorothy croaked as per fiancée pulled her into her arms, smiling.

"Yeah, I think she did!" The Hero of Oz's grin matched the wolf's, before they started laughing.
