Darkrai and Hypno didn't remove the previous days memories, just modified them so Seb doesn't remember about the girls Darkrai killed . Also Ash didn't sense Seb's reaction.Seb was all of like a foot from Ash, Seb actually choked in shock of the photo. Ash doesn't know he's lying. And yes, the lengths Hypno is willing to go in comparison to Darkrai are beginning to show.

Sorry I didn't respond yesterday, I also have no idea if I've talked about this before, but part of the reason I don't go over Ash's outfit every time, is when he's on a lab mission, he's usually dressed in adventuring gear, and when he's at school, he's in uniform, also I feel going over the outfit he has on each time would get repetitive
"Why am I doing this again?" Ash asked.
"Because, I needed a model for my fashion class, and Chloe is still terrified of being on stage." Mika scolded.
"Chloe has gotten better, just not great. At least she isn't petrified in front of a crowd." Ash said. "Thanks for removing the heads from the mannequins again."
"Yeah, now hold still. I need to make sure this all sits correctly." Mika said, adjusting the outfit. "Okay, now take a look."
Ash walked up to the mirror station to see the waitress uniform he had on, accompanied by a Pikachu tail and ears.
"So what's the purpose of this project again?" Ash asked, trying to lower the skirt.
"It's to create a fitted outfit. The theme is a poke cafe, and I got a girl card." Mika explained. "Also you need to be at the school's cafe on Saturday."
"You couldn't have told me beforehand." Ash bemoaned.
"You wouldn't have helped if I had told you that." Mika pointed out. "Now take it off, I want to fit it with a push up bra, and I need to readjust the back of the skirt for the added weight of the tail." Mika said. "Then we still have the other accessories."
"It's going to be a long weekend." Ash said in realization.
That Saturday
Ash stumbled slightly as he went to his next table. While the heels were a bit thicker and lower than most, he was on a fifth hour of it, and Serena hadn't made it much easier. She had gone from table to table ordering simple things, always asking for the Pikachu Girl. Ash was relieved to finally have someone who wasn't his girlfriend ask for him.
"Welcome to the charity cafe event. May I take your order?" Ash said the rehearsed line.
"I'd like to have a battle." The girl said, pushing aside her long blonde hair. "You are Ash Ketchum, correct?"
"Oh, umm yes, but I don't think this is an appropriate time to…". Ash began as he felt his phone go off. A world coronation series match from the woman in front of him. "Nevermind." Ash said, reaching into his apron, accepting the challenge.
'The world coronation series Super Rank match between Ash and Caitlin will now begin. Trainers send out your first Pokémon!' The Rotojudge called out.
"Noivern I choose you!"
"Come on out Alakazam!"
"Noivern use Boomburst!"
"Alakazam use Focus Blast!"
The Focus Blast sped right through the Boomburst, striking Noivern out of the sky.
"Let's try someone a bit closer to Alakazam's speed." Ash said, grabbing Noivern's Pokeball from his apron. "Noivern return! Come on out Impidimp! Use Thief!"
"Alakazam use Charge Beam!"
Impidimp scrambled around Alakazam making a few quick jabs, keeping close enough for Alakazam to not hit him.
"Alakazam use Charge Beam!"
"Impidimp use Burning Jealousy!"
As the beam hit Impidimp, a line of fire struck through Alakazam, leaving scorch marks on him.
"Now that. Was impressive." Ash said taking a more offensive stance. "Now use Taunt!"
"Alakazam use Shadow Ball!"
Impidimp did a little dance as he leapt out of the way of Alakazam's attack.
"Now use Thief!"
"Alakazam use Focus Blast!"
Impidimp easily scurried away from the attack, before striking Alakazam, giving Ash a lead.
"Shauntal and Grimsley weren't lying, your skills at adapting to the battle are impressive, but let's see how you handle this. Metagross, I choose you!" Caitlin called out.
Back at the cafe
"Where is Ash? She's supposed to be here for this part." Mika said as her teacher approached.
"Did you guys hear?" One guy said. "There's a Pikachu waitress fighting a Metagross!"
"You mean Ash? I mean they're good and all, but are they really Metagross good?" A second asked.
"Why are we standing here when we can see for ourselves." The third said.
"Ash!" Mika said an annoyance in her tone. "I'm sorry Professor, but we have to go off the premises to see my work, my waitress left the cafe for a match."
"Very well." Mika's teacher said.
"Impidimp use Burning Jealousy!"
"Metagross use Earthquake!"
Impidimp was launched into the air, as his attack fizzled out.
"Now use Bullet Punch!"
"Impidimp use Thief!"
It did no good as Metagross flew up rapidly punching Impidimp, sending the small Pokémon into the ground.
"Impidimp return!" Ash called out. Returning the Pokeball to the apron. "Alright Noivern, let's do this! Use Heat Wave!"
Noivern launched towards Metagross Heat irradiating from his ear speakers.
"Metagross use Hammer Arm!"
"Noivern use Dragon Claw!"
Noivern and Metagross collided in the air, neither giving in to the other.
"Hmm, I wonder. Noivern use Hurricane!"
"Metagross use Zen Headbutt!"
The winds began to pick up, with Metagross in the eye of the storm.
"Now use Boomburst!" Ash called out.
Metagross was unprepared as blasts came from out of nowhere, the dust and debris concealing what was on the outside of the Hurricane.
"As you can see. My outfit is not only good for work, but also for battle." Mika said. "Notice how even in the high winds, the skirt stays in place." In all honesty she had no idea how Ash's skirt or apron hadn't gone flying at this point, but she'd take it.
"Metagross use Bullet Punch!"
"Noivern, combine Hurricane with Heat Wave!"
Noivern began spinning around Metagross, taking small punches as he flew, faster and faster, higher and higher, until he stopped. Metagross fell to the ground knocked out from the damage, their psychic abilities unable to keep them in the air any longer.
"Congratulations Ash on your win." Caitlin said. "Marshall is looking forward to your upcoming match."
"So, this is it huh." Ash said honestly. "One more elite four member from Unova?"
"You've more than proven yourself to our newest champion. I'm sure yours and Marshall's battle will be just as exciting." Caitlin said. "Now you said that was a cafe, I think I'll take a look at that menu." Caitlin said walking back towards the cafe.
"Soon. We'll have our rematch." Ash said pulling out the third Pokeball from his apron. "Don't you worry about that Hawlucha."
