The car ride to the prison wasn't exactly quiet. No one spoke but the buzz between the two individuals who currently occupied the moving vehicle was definitely making its presence known. After the "conversation" from the night before, Eames had assumed that all the awkwardness and mistrust would be behind them. She assumed wrong. Why do I feel worse? She risked a peek at Bobby. He was leaning away from her with his right elbow on the door and his chin resting on his knuckles. His forehead touching the window. At least he's not bouncing. A small smirk came over her lips.

Pulling up to the main gait, Alex heard a familiar noise. Well, I spoke to soon. The doctor's left leg began to jump up and down. She look over at him again. This time, he met her gaze. The obvious question hung between them. "I don't like prisons."

Eames tilted her head. "Small spaces." He spoke cryptically.

Before she could ask, the guard working the gate asked for her credentials. Not like he'd tell me anyway. "Go on ahead." The guard spoke as he pressed the button.

Pulling into an empty space, Eames began to feel her heart speed up. Her palms became sweaty and she was pretty sure her face had paled. "Hey." She looked over to the seat beside her. "You alright?"

She nodded and attempted a reassuring smile. Clearly not believing her and choosing not to comment, Bobby nodded back and they made their way to the door.

Guards were standing outside the cell where Manny Delgado's body was laying in the middle of the floor. Alex stopped just outside the cell door. Bobby took this as his cue and he and his binder started their work. Vigorously taking notes, Goren paced around the cell. He suddenly stopped when he reached the chair laying on its side behind the body. His classic fidgeting showed up and frustration leaked from him.

"What is it?' Alex was staring at him.

"I just- I can't-". Get a grip, Bobby. His frustration about what he was seeing now turned into frustration because he couldn't explain it. Alex got closer.

"What do you need?" Her voiced was quiet but stern. It drew him back and he was able to focus. I still don't know how she does that.

He looked down at the body and then up at one of the guards. "Hey, you." The shorter one of the guards turned around and pointed to his chest. "Yes, you. How tall are you?"

The guard looked confused but answered the question. "5'10".

"Okay, come here." Bobby motioned with his hand. The guard came over and stood in between Alex and Bobby. Bobby took the chair and sat it upright. He then stood on it and tied another bed sheet to one of the overhead beams in the same way the sheet that hung Manny was tied. Goren stepped down and pointed to the chair. "Okay, now you stand on the chair. " The guard rolled his eyes. "Seriously. we don't have all day." The man stood on the chair. "Now put you head through the whole on the sheet."

The guard then verbally showed his annoyance. "What?"

Bobby huffed and Alex stepped in. "Do what he says." He relented.

When he couldn't get to the sheet to wrap it around his neck, he stood on his tiptoes. Still unable to reach it, he looked down at Eames and Goren. "I can't get it." He stepped down off the chair.

Bobby nodded. "Alright. Thank you, Sergeant." The man walked back to his post outside the of the cell. Bobby's fidgeting returned but nearly as pronounced as before. "How tall was Delgado?"

Eames look down at her notepad. "5'9"." Her facial expression changed from intrigue to realization. "He wasn't tall enough to hang himself. Somebody had to help him."

"Somebody tall enough to reach the beam and tie a bed sheet to it then wrap it around his neck." Goren answered back. He took a few more notes as they exited the cell.

"He was murdered." Alex Eames suddenly knew this was going to be quite possibly the hardest and most case important of her life.

A/N: Okay, so being an "essential" employee sometimes really sucks. I had ideas for this story and just didn't have the time I thought I would to share with them you guys. But, anyway, I finally got to write a new chapter and hopefully it was kind of worth the wait. As always thank you for reading and for your reviews. Please stay safe!
