Some may be wondering why Nejire is not in the General Studies like from the previous version- this is due to the fact Nejire is Akasuki's childhood friend.

Obviously, Akachan would be training together with Nejire as soon as they both decided to be heroines together. Yes, there are no scenes regarding this from the previous chapter which is because I'm debating whether to give Nejire a whole chapter of her POV.

So, yeah. That's the reason why Nejire didn't end up in the General Studies this time around. :)

The next chapter would be posted when I have free time. I totally abandoned my writing schedule by now :')

"A CELEBRATORY LUNCH WAS COMMENCED"

Still 16 years old

"How is my young listener doin'?"

"Still a few centuries away from my death bed, Yamada-sensei", Akasuki responded dryly as she turns to look at her homeroom teacher by the doorway, who proceeds to close the door behind him.

Akasuki is currently laying down on a hospital bed- admitted to a private hospital room at the Fujitani Hospital when a neighborhood monitoring went wrong.

A villain appeared out of nowhere and attacked both Mirio and her. Luckily, Mirio defeats the villain with no sweat.

Unfortunately, the villain's quirk is some kind of EMP, electromagnetic pulse, which- surprisingly- manages to make her quirk malfunction.

By quirk malfunction- it literally means a malfunction at the core of her quirk, not just a simple glitch of her screens.

She, along with her father, already tested various types of inventions that they thought would have the possibility to disrupt her quirk. Sadly, the most successful stage they achieved is a 2 minutes glitch on her [Library].

Now knowing that one, possibly a few more, villain can literally make her useless is quite.. terrifying.

She mentally notes to do some research as soon as both her mother and uncle deem her healthy enough.

Thankfully, she managed to create a screen in time and manage to block a katana- a goddamn katana, crazy isn't it?!

Unfortunately, she wasn't lucky on the gunshots hidden in the shadows.

Oh, and the small explosion too.

"I brought some get well gifts~!", Present Mic grins cheerfully as he pulled a brown box out of nowhere, startling the redhead, and carefully sets it on the bed.

Akasuki manages to sit up with the help of the voice pro-hero and peeks inside the box curiously.

"Don't worry I checked the contents", Present Mic commented with a serious expression as he sat on the chair beside the hospital bed.

"I promise you, an absolute quantity of zero bombs"

Although, no matter how Yamada tries to be serious- the redhead knew he was kidding when she notices the corner of his lips twitching.

Akasuki raised an eyebrow as she pulled out a brochure with the title 'How to be Not an Idiot' plastered on the front with a huge front.

Present Mic couldn't help but grin at the brochure, "It's Matsushita-chan's idea", he explains giddily, "She and Mitsui-chan made that- there are actually 5 volumes!"

He then pulls out four other brochures with the same titles with different volume numbers making the redhead deadpan as she reluctantly accepts the brochures.

*Matsushita, Sushichan, is the one with the fog quirk, and Mitsui, Suichan, is the one with a marionette quirk, also the vice president*

"Now I really wonder whether she and Katsun are related", the redhead commented wryly as she opens the brochure.

Surprisingly there are some cute chibi drawings of herself doing various things- fishing in a shark zone, walking on the road with a green traffic light- wait, why is there a label 'human shield' on this one?

Now, she could be exaggerating this but she's really thankful Sushichan decides to be a hero rather than be a villain- oh god, the horror.

Cautiously placing the brochures aside- definitely gonna hide those from Katsuki- and pulled out a pack of dried squid snacks.

"Lemme guess", she glances at the blonde pro-hero with a small smile, "Tamakun?"

Present Mic hums, "There's more actually", he responded before pulling 14 more packs of dried squid snacks much to the redhead's disbelief.

'What the hell does Tamakun thinks I'm gonna do with these?', the redhead thought as she stares at the 15 packs of dried squid snacks, 'Is this some sort of payback or something?'

"Well, at least I got delicious snacks when I'm bored", she perks up at the thought, "I wonder if mom would let me have some sake"

The voice hero gives the redhead a sharp look, earning a sheepish smile from the young heroine- who made a promise that she's only joking.

"I think the rest of the class got you these letters and snacks that aren't dried squid", Present Mic mused as he rummages the contents of the box.

His expression lit up after a few seconds as he pulls out a plastic red rose- one that has a cute teddy bear attached to it.

Akasuki study the plastic rose curiously as the voice hero give it to her, "Who is it from?", she asked, averting her gaze towards the blonde hero.

Present Mic's grin widened as he propped his elbows on the bed, clasping his hands together, and rest his chin on his palms.

He wiggles his eyebrows playfully, "Oh I do wonder~", he sang playfully, "Who is this dashing handsome blonde friend that could give my dear Akachan this rose?"

It only took seconds for the redhead to realized just who is her homeroom teacher is describing.

In an instant, heat rises on her cheeks- going as far up to her ears- as her homeroom teacher couldn't help but giggle like a high school girl.

Gosh, darn it Mirio.

Akasuki let out a sigh as she lay on top of her bed.

Kaori, who stood by the doorway, gives her a pointed look, "Now, remember what your uncle told you. No any kind of strenuous activity-"

"-for a whole month", Akasuki ended with a cheeky grin making her mother pursed her lips, "You worry too much-"

The redhead teen let out a wince as she tries to roll over only to end up landing on her still tender side which didn't go unnoticed by the Genji matriarch.

"No, get on your back this instant Akasuki", Kaori ordered as she began fussing over her daughter, rechecking the bandages.

Akasuki knew better and simply roll on her back with no arguments.

"Have I ever told you I love you?", the redhead teen looks up, batting her eyelashes playfully making her mother snort.

"Only if you're injured", Kaori responded playfully, her tense shoulder relaxing as she carefully lifts her daughter's shirt to examine the bandages underneath.

Akasuki let out a dramatic gasp, "Oh but I love you more than anything in the world!", she exclaims while dramatically grasping her chest, "Oh how I can continue with this realization?!"

Kaori simply raised an eyebrow, earning a cheeky grin from her daughter, making the mother chuckle.

She sat down on the corner of the bed, reaching out to caress her daughter's vermilion hair, "You, my dear, are your father's daughter", she smiles softly, her eyes twinkling mischievously.

"But you're still grounded"

Akasuki simply pouted.

Akasuki blinks, surprised, as she enters Room 47- spotting a familiar white-haired (with crimson streaks) girl visitor sitting on a chair placed beside the patient's bed.

She couldn't help but activated her quirk, her cerulean eyes flashing gold briefly.

Fuyumi Todoroki

[Quirk: Light Freeze]
Allows the user to freeze anything within her grasp, however, it is limited to things weighing less than 6 kg.

Fuyumi Todoroki is much more beautiful compared to her anime self, that the redhead can confess.

Now, by beautiful, doesn't mean the standard society describes as one having an hourglass shape figure, big breasts, or even snow-white skin- ugh.

Honestly, those beauty standards are so overrated.

Fuyumi Todoroki is beautiful by the warm and kind aura surrounding her- it's as if a real-life angel is standing before her.

Her hair looks like it's shining under the light rays from the window, she's a bit tan- I wonder if she's working out? and by her overall look- she looks quite healthy.

Well, great to see that Endeavor didn't starve them.

From what Akasuki could remember, Fuyumi is- will be?- a teacher. An older sister, who took the nurturing role in the absence of their mother.

Honestly speaking, the redhead hates the Todoroki family background story. She hates it because it's so damn realistic.

Whether it be the part where the parent expects for their children to carry on their dreams or the part where the parent can be seen hurting their child in the excuse of 'this is for your own good' or the part where a parent's mental state is diminishing-

It's sickening because she has seen those scenarios in real life too.

"Oh, good morning", Fuyumi greeted the redhead, closing the book she was reading to her sleeping mother, now deciding to focus her full attention on the redhead heroine.

"Ah, y-yes good morning", Akasuki greeted back, her cheeks warming when she stuttered, "You're her daughter, I presume?", she carries on, trying her best to be as professional as she could while she closed the door.

Fuyumi nodded with a small smile, "Only daughter", she responded, "Are you new here? You look a bit.. young to work, no offense", she ended hastily.

Akasuki let out a chuckle as she walks closer with a clipboard tuck in her arms, "I'm a volunteer, actually", she corrected before introducing herself, "I'm Genji Akasuki, a pleasure to meet you"

Fuyumi looked at her in surprise, immediately recognizing her last name, "Todoroki Fuyumi, it is a pleasure to meet you Genji-san", she introduces as she stood up, bowing slightly.

The redhead heroine chuckles as she waves dismissively, "There's no need to bow, Todoroki-san", she insists with a smile, "And call me Akachan, Genji-san is my father", she ended playfully earning a giggle from the white-haired female.

Once the white-haired female is seated once again, she asked, "Are you aiming to be a doctor like your mother, Akachan?"

Akasuki shook her head, "Ah, I'm actually in a hero course and figured it's about time I learn some medical practices", she responded.

The white-haired woman's expression falters briefly, an unknown emotion flashed too quickly for the redhead to recognize before settling in her previously kind expression.

"Oh, I see. You must be quite a hard worker then", Fuyumi responded with a smile, although much smaller than before, before looking back at her mother.

Akasuki shifts her weight awkwardly, knowing she definitely step on some kind of landmine, deciding to proceed on her daily routine, "Your mother has been doing great in the past weeks", she reported as she scans the contents of the clipboard.

"Although there were some... episodes appearing randomly, we are optimistic that she's recovering much faster than normal"

Fuyumi brightened at the information, turning to look back at the redhead with glistening eyes.

"Does that mean she can go home soon?", she asked hopefully, "I- there's a chance where we can be a family?"

Akasuki pursed her lips as she stares back at the white-haired female, mentally pondering what to say.

There are scenes where Fuyumi Todorki expressed wanting to fix up their family into a real family- or so she remembers.

She definitely admits she's curious why a child, who claims to also resent their father, would want to have a real family with him.

If it were Akasuki, she would've left her good-for-nothing father and take her siblings and mother away, far away from where they won't see him again.

Admittedly, she's not exactly in the position to say this since in both her lives she didn't have any abusive parents.

One pair that is dead and one pair that is... eccentric.

One should really be thankful for what one has.

"Unfortunately I'm not the person that you should be asking this", Akasuki replied as she tucks the clipboard back onto her chest, "Although, if I may, we can only wait for that outcome"

Even Fuyumi clearly is not quite satisfied with that response, nevertheless, she gave her a melancholy smile.

"I hope so", she mutters softly as she looks back at her mother, reaching out to caress her cheek with saddened eyes.

"I really hope so"

"Man, I remember my Yuuei entrance exam"

Akasuki glance as the two boys, who has been a nervous wreck the whole week, perks up at the mention of her entrance exam.

The three of them can be seen in the Bakugo household, specifically inside their living room, taking rest after the boys finish training with All Might- er, Toshinori.

The two boys are seating beside one another while Akasuki is seated on the loveseat beside the couch.

"Akaneechan took the recommendation exam, right?", Izuku voiced out loud in which the redhead nodded.

"The recommendation exam is different from the normal entrance exam, which the two of you will be taking"

Akasuki held up her pointer finger, "One whole difference of the two is this: Robots"

The two boys blink in unison, which the redhead finds cute, "Robots?", Katsuki mutter under his breath, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully as he pursed his lips.

"You mean, we're going to fight robots?", he asked, facing the redhead with a raised eyebrow, definitely unamused for worrying about passing.

Akasuki nodded with a grin, "I think Nerechan got 32 points from defeating those robots", she mused as she leans back at the loveseat and crosses her legs.

Izuku tilts his head, quite cutely, and scrunches his nose, "But didn't Nejire-neesan got 64 points in total?", he voiced out with a frown, clearly confused.

The two boys look at one another briefly before looking back at their older sister, whose grin widened.

Akasuki hums, trying- and failing- not to grin, "Why indeed", she answered as vaguely as possible much to the boys' frustration.

"My my, one can only wonder how Nerechan got 64 points~"

Unfortunately, the boys didn't manage to make their big sister spill the beans until the day of their entrance exam.

Her twinkling cerulean eyes that scream 'I know something you don't' definitely got into the ash-blonde's nerves.

The one behind the explosion at the beach just a few hours before the scheduled entrance exam couldn't be more obvious.

Katsuki's eyes twitch as he scowls at the green-haired boy walking beside him continues to gawk at their surroundings.

His eye twitches some more when a group of teens, those fuckers, looked in their direction while mumbling shit among themselves.

It didn't take long when the ash-blonde decided he had enough of this bullshit.

"WHAT ARE YOU FUCKERS LOOKING AT, HUH?!", he spatted out angrily at the group of teens, who looked at him with widened eyes, "GET OUT OF OUR FUCKING WAY YOU MOTHER-!"

"I-I'm sorry!", Izuku apologizes while bowing furiously, tugging the ash-blonde towards the direction of the orientation room, "I'M S-SO SORRY! H-HE'S N-NOT A MORNING PERSON AND-!"

There goes their eventful way towards the orientation room. Unbeknownst to a certain brunette girl watching the two of them curiously at the sidelines.

Izuku let out a sigh as soon as he sits down, glancing at the ash-blonde beside him wearily, who continues to seeth in fury on his seat, gaining the attention of their fellow examinees as they glance at them and mutter among themselves.

"K-Kacchan, remember what Aka-neechan said!", the green-haired boy whispers at the ash-blonde, "We should behave and-"

"-I know what the damn ginger said!", the ash-blonde cuts him off with a glare, "So shut the fuck up 'cause I don't give a shit-!"

"WHAT'S UP, YOUNG LISTENERS?!"

Saved by the bell, as they say.

Izuku's attention immediately focused on the pro-hero upon his appearance, a spotlight focused on him. His eyes widened as he fawns openly and began his earnest fan-boy mumblings.

Katsuki, who is used to his childhood friend's mumbling, simply rolled his eyes and rests his elbow on the desk, propping up his chin.

Nonetheless, the latter focused more on what the pro-hero is saying rather than his face.

"Welcome to today's show!", Present Mic continues energetically, "Everybody says 'Hey!' "

Katsuki stares at the scene unamused, ignoring the still rambling best friend beside him, watching as the pro-hero cup his ear only to be met with silence.

Present Mic shook his head as he held up his hands, "What a refined response", he commented making the ash-blonde snort faintly.

Thankfully, the pro-hero continues.

"Then I'll give you a quick breakdown on the practical exam!", he announces, "Are you ready?! Yeah!"

Once again, he is met with silence as the crowd, probably, gives him mixed expressions.

Or they simply don't care like a certain ash-blonde examinee.

"I can't believe I'm seeing the Voice Hero: Present Mic in person", Izuku rambles on, covering half of his face with his hands as he openly stares at the pro-hero with starry eyes.

Not to mention the bright aura surrounding the green-haired boy.

"Every week, I listen to him on the radio. I'm so moved!", the green-haired boy continues, ignorant of the looks he's acquiring from his continuous ramblings, "I can't wait to meet the rest of them as Aka-neechan said-"

"Shut up", Katsuki grunted, now leaning back at the chair as he crossed his arms, barely giving the green-haired boy beside him his attention as he focused on the voice hero.

"You listeners will be doing a ten-minute mock urban battle after this, as stated in the application conditions!"

The screen behind the voice hero changed, from the Yuuei logo, it changed into a "You Are Here" with letters A to G attached on it above.

"You are free to bring whatever you like!", Present Mic glances around the room with his usual grin, "After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?!"

Both boys looked down at the piece of paper in their possession briefly before glancing at the other, comparing its' contents.

"So they won't let you work with your friends, huh?", Katsuki mutters under his breath while narrowing his eye at Izuku's exam ticket, ignoring the "okay?!" follow-up of the pro-hero.

Katsuki Bakugo is stationed at Battle Center A while Izuku Midoriya is stationed at Battle Center B.

"Even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we're assigned in different battle areas", Izuku added, deflating slightly at the information.

"All the plans and strategy with Kacchan all gone to waste, huh"

Katsuki tch'ed, glaring at the exam ticket in his possession, "You better not screw this up, dumbass", he turns to glare at Izuku, "Damn it, I want to crush you myself"

Izuku sweatdropped at his friend's constipated-looking face, deciding to just laugh half-heartedly as a response.

"There are three different types of faux villains stationed in every battle center!", Present Mic continues energetically, the screen behind him showing the black silhouette of the three faux villains.

"You can gain points based on their level!", the screen behind the voice pro-hero changed into a scene of a pixelized version of him fighting the pixelized version of the faux villain.

"Your goal, my young listeners, is to collect points by immobilizing the faux villains."

Present Mic dramatically turns to point his pointer finger towards the audience, "Of course, attacking other examinees and engaging in any other unheroic behavior is not permitted!"

Izuku couldn't help himself and glance at the ash-blonde boy beside him, sweatdropping at the sight of a glowering pomeranian.

'As expected of Kacchan', the green-haired cinnamon thought as he continues to watch the ash-blonde firecracker mutter curses under his breath.

"I'd like to ask a question!"

Izuku's attention averted from his childhood best friend and towards his fellow examinee, who is now standing up with his right arm raised.

"Go for it!", Present Mic approves as he pointed towards the now standing examinee, making a spotlight centered on the standing examinee.

A teenage boy with short dark blue hair and his blue eyes hiding behind his rectangular half-rim glasses.

With his relatively tall, muscular, and wide frame- Izuku can note that this person also undergoes some heavy training like them, perhaps with another pro-hero too?

The dark blue-haired boy held up his own printout, "There are four types of faux villains according to the printout", he stated while pointing at the paper, "If this is a misprint, then Yuuei, Japan's most prestigious institution, should be ashamed of its blunder! We examinees are-!"

Katsuki let out a snort, deciding to tune out the dark blue-haired boy, "What crawled up in your ass and died?", he sneered which, thankfully, wasn't heard by the dark blue-haired boy.

'Maybe the same one that crawled on yours', Izuku thought dryly and wouldn't dare to say out loud since he didn't have the guts to face Kacchan's wrath today or ever.

Katsuki, sensing as if someone just dissed him, averted his attention from the dark blue-haired boy and turn to glare daggers at the green-haired boy beside him.

Of course, the cinnamon roll merely ignored the murderous glare and simply focus on the standing examinee much to the ash-blonde's frustration.

"-you there with the curly hair!"

All of a sudden, the dark blue-haired examinee faces Izuku, his pointer finger pointing at him with a stern expression.

Izuku barely blinks before the examinee continues, "You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting!", he scolded loudly.

An arrow pierced through Izuku's chest.

"If you came here for leisure, you should've left right away."

Another arrow pierced through the green-haired boy's back.

"Who the fuck are you, huh?!", Katsuki shouted angrily as he attempts to stand up but failed since Izuku clings to him, trying to keep him seated.

"I'll fucking kill you, damn four-eyes! Come at me!"

"Such language! And to think you aspire to be a hero-!"

"Okay okay, settle down Examinee Number 7111", Present Mic interrupted while motioning for the two teens to sit down, "Thank you for bringing it up!", he ended with a grin and a thumbs up.

The silhouette of the fourth faux villain, the zero pointers, appeared on the vacant spot.

"The fourth type is worth zero points", Present Mic announces, "It's an obstacle, so to speak"

The screen changes one again, showing the pixelated Present Mic, "There will be one in every battle center. An obstacle that goes crazy in narrow spaces"

When the pixelated zero pointer appeared, the pixelated Present Mic can now be seen running away.

"It's not impossible to defeat", the voice pro-hero continues, "but there's no reason to defeat it either"

Present Mic dramatically posed, "It is my recommendation that you listeners try to avoid it!"

"Thank you for indulging me!", the still-unnamed dark blue-haired boy bow, "Please excuse the interruption!", he ended before sitting down, the spotlight focused on him fades away.

Naturally, the audience began whispering and muttering with one another, discussing the zero pointer.

Present Mic widens his arms, "That's all for today, folks!", he grins brightly, "For our finale, I'll give you listeners a present- our school's motto!"

"The hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said: 'A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes' "

The voice pro-hero winks, "Go beyond-", his grin widened, stretching out his arms further, "Plus Ultra!"

The screen behind the pro-hero immediately flashed the words 'Plus Ultra'.

Izuku met Katsuki's gaze, the two boys exchanging grins, one much scarier than the other, as the voice pro-hero continues.

"Good luck suffering everyone!"

Akasuki is quietly reading the book in her possession entitled 'El Filibusterismo' [1] while laying down on the couch in their living room.

She didn't bat an eyelash at the sound of something breaking, probably a glass mug, in the kitchen followed by the sound of her father cursing.

It's been a week since the Yuuei entrance exam.

It's also been a week full of anxiousness for the boys.

At first, the boys seem confident at their scores and they claimed that they manage to solve the hidden criteria- saving their fellow examinees.

Admittedly, Akasuki was so proud that her baby brothers are growing up so smart and nicely- well as nice as Katsuki can be.

Sadly, no matter how much the redhead heroine assures the two boys, they're not really... assured.

She based this on the fact that yesterday Katsuki stole a jar full of her homemade cookies and-

Akasuki let out a startled scream when an angry-looking Katsuki suddenly appeared within her vision, making the redhead fall onto the ground.

"What the hell, Katsun?!", the redhead shouted, her cheeks aflame, as the ash-blonde boy in front of her proceeds to laugh his heart out.

"Aka-neechan!"

Izuku appeared within her vision with a... constipated-like expression, "W-We got it!", he stuttered out, albeit panicking as he thrust the letter on his hands towards the redhead teen.

"The letter came!"

Akasuki's eyes widen as she instinctively snatches the letter out of the green-haired boy's hands.

"And you haven't opened it?!", the redhead asked, looking at the two boys as if they told her that Ironman sucks, "Open it! open it!", she demanded as she thrust the letter back to the still panicking cinnamon roll.

Kaori and Sadao Genji stood by the entrance of the living with matching bemused looks.

The Genji matriarch glance at the front door where a panting Inko Midoriya and an unamused Mitsuki Bakugo stood.

"The damn brat snatch the letter out of my hands and ran like hell", Mitsuki huffed as she glances at her son, who is standing beside the redhead teen.

"I-Izuku was run-running s-so fast", Inko barely manage to choke out, sending a grateful look to Sadao when he offered her a glass of water.

Kaori grins as she glances briefly at the kids, who were now listening to a holographic All Might, before looking back at her friends.

"We were just cooking some lunch, do you want to join us?", she offers which the two females accepted immediately.

Inko let out a sigh as she seated beside Mitsuki by the dining table, "Oh, it's a good thing I decided to cook a bit later today", she commented before thanking Kaori for the cup of tea.

Kaori frown at the two, "I do hope you didn't leave your home with an open fire, now did you?", she asked worriedly, "If the two of you were cooking-"

"Masaru's at home", Mitsuki assures the redhead, "By the time the brat snatched the letter, I knew he's heading here"

"Oh! Then I'll get an extra plate for him too", Sadao perks up, ecstatic at having a male company over, and proceed to head to the kitchen.

Kaori glance back at the living room as she places a plateful of sushi on the dining table, "I reckon it wouldn't be long now-"

"-WE PASSED!"

The green-haired cinnamon roll appeared by the entrance of the dining area with the redhead teen and ash-blonde boy following behind him.

Izuku beamed at the four adults as he held up both Kacchan's and his' letters for them to see, "WE'RE GOING TO YUUEI!"

Thus, a celebratory lunch was commenced.
