"Alright, let's head out!" Ash said as he rounded up the group. They had a mile hike to get to where they were staying and time was awasting.

"Cute outfit. Will you be warm though?" Chloe asked.

"Warmest one here." Ash said flipping up the hood of the dress. He had on fleece tights, black jeans, a white tee shirt, a red flannel shirt, then the black dress with yellow sleeves and a hood, finally fur lined boots that went up to his mid calf, as well as gloves on. "I packed for the cold, and far be it from me to freeze." Ash pointed out.

"Fair enough, lead the way." Chloe said.

As the group walked, Pikachu, Eevee and Tyrouge ran around playing with each other in the snow.

"You know, it's not fair that they're the only ones who get to enjoy this. Most of our Pokémon run more than this daily in the park." Goh commented.

"You think they'll enjoy it?" Ash asked.

"I don't see why not." Goh said. "I'll tell Chloe and Serena."

Ash gathered his Pokeballs, Goh was right they could use the fresh air.

"Alright come on out everybody!" Ash shouted.

Staraptor, Kangaskhan, Cufant, Gengar, and Gigalith all popped out, clearly enjoying the open area, and being able to stretch.

"You too!" Serena called. Delphox, Pancham, Sylveon, Rillaboom, and Regirock joining the group.

"Can't let them have all the fun!" Chloe shouted. With that Boltund, Corvinight, Koffing, and Regice also joined in the growing group.

"Let's show them how we travel in style!" Goh said. "Cinderace, Golurk, Aerodactyl, Darmanitan, Quagsire, and Registeel come on out!"

"Umm guys?" Ash said in shock. Usually he was the one glowing, but suddenly Chloe was bathed in a light blue light, Goh in a shimmering silver, and Serena in a reddish orange light. Off in the distance a purple and yellow beam shot out into the sky. "I think we found the other Regis."

At the hotel

"We trusted you to keep our children safe!"

"Now we're hearing about forbidden Regis, how is that safe!"

"I have half a mind to pull Xavier from this position?"

"How long until you send our kids after something like that!"

Professor Cerise had a lot of angry parents directing comments at him, as Delia, Grace, and Camille tried backing him up, but even they had to admit this sounded dangerous.

"So what? Should we go after the Regi's or maybe send one back?" Goh asked.

"It might be too late, and our best bet is to stand our ground." Serena commented.

"Not yet, not until things cool down with the other parents." Chloe advised. "What're your thoughts Ash?"

"I'm going to find where it came from." Ash said.

"Didn't you hear what I just said!" Chloe exclaimed. "We shouldn't look into it until things cool down."

"And what if they're already out? All I'm going to do is go around and look for where they might be. If they aren't awake, we'll be fine until things cool down." Ash said. "You guys stay here, just in case."

Downstairs

"Delia, honey." Richard said. "My brother in law is here, I'm at least going to let him meet Ashlynn, hopefully mend some more bridges."

"Good idea. I'll handle this here." Delia said calmly. Neither noticing Ash leaving the building already.

"Okay, so the beam came from that direction." Ash said pointing out of town. "We take a quick look, and if everything's in one piece, we return to the hotel to warm up. Staraptor let's go!"

Ash searched the ground from in the sky, checking for any sort of Regi like location, until his eyes fell on something far worse.

"Staraptor go in for a landing! Quickly!" Ash called out. Diving towards the two people on the ground.

"Nia darling, please! They're family!" A man in an orange winter coat begged.

"I'm not interested. You dragged me here and I didn't even want to go." Nia said.

"Rose!" Ash shouted. "I don't know how you're here, but I'm going to stop you!" Ash shouted as he landed with Pikachu and Staraptor ready for a fight.

"A battle, that'll warm up my Nia's heart! Im warning you Im Ultra Mega Ferocious in battle!" The man said. "Copperajah come on out!"

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Copperajah use High Horsepower!"

The large elephant Pokémon charged straight at Pikachu, who ran between its legs, striking it with electricity.

"Pikachu use Discharge!"

"Copperajah use Heavy Slam!"

Pikachu quickly ran out of the way as Copperajah Seb snow flying everywhere.

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Copperajah use Heavy Slam again!"

As Copperajah was above him, Pikachu zapped the large Pokémon out of the way.

"Copperajah use High Horsepower!"

"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu sped out of the way, using the fresh snow flying upwards as cover.

"Now use Iron Tail!"

"Copperajah use Super Power!"

Pikachu slammed down on the Copperajah only to be tossed upwards.

Elsewhere

"Strange, Peony said he'd meet me here." Richard said, looking around. "Maybe he got sidetracked, I'll head to the cab zone and see if I spot him."

Back to the battle

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Copperajah use High Horsepower!"

The bolt of electricity surged through Copperajah, as it fell to the ground in defeat.

"Haha! But it'll take more than that to stop me! En Garde! Aggron you're up!" The man said.

"Pikachu tag out!" Ash called. "Staraptor you're in, start with an Aerial Ace!"

"Aggron use Stone Edge!"

Staraptor's speed allowed it to keep away from the jutting stones, as it swept past Aggron, a wave of snow hitting it instead.

"Amazing, using the area like that!" The man exclaimed. "See Nia! This is the excitement of battle."

"Whatever." Nia said.

"Staraptor use Close Combat!"

"Aggron use Iron Head!"

Staraptor and Aggron charged at each other, ending with both launching backwards, a flurry of snow falling around them.

"What in the?" Richard said, seeing the battle.

"Staraptor use Close Combat one more time!"

"Aggron use Stone Edge!"

"Stop!" Richard yelled.

"Dad, not the time!" Ash argued.

"Ash stand down." Richard said.

"No you can't tell me to do that! That's Rose! A wanted criminal for unleashing Eternatus! He should be in prison!" Ash scolded.

"Ash that's not Rose, not exactly. Say Uncle!" Richard said.

"What no?! I'm about to win!" Ash argued.

"Little Ash, last time I saw you, you were in diapers." The man said.

"Wait what?!" Ash exclaimed.

"Ash, meet your Uncle Peony. Peony, this is my daughter Ashlynn." Richard said pridefully.

"Hold on, back up! He's my uncle! I'm related to him!" Ash exclaimed.

"Welcome to my life." Nia said. "I'm Nia, guess that makes us cousins."

"You aren't exactly related. My stepsister married Peony, so you are family only by relation." Richard explained.

"Oh, that is all kinds of messed up." Ash said. "Does that mean I'm also related to Rose?"

"He is my older brother so in a way yes." Peony said. "I am sorry that he took the path he did though."

"We all make mistakes." Richard said.

"Some more than others." Ash commented.

Back at the hotel

"Rich, I have to say, you've trained quite the battler there." Peony said. "I just wish my darling Nia shared my enthusiasm."

"I wish I could take credit, but I didn't have much to do with Ash's competitive spirit. That's all her." Richard said.

"Hey, wanna head upstairs, we've got snacks, and people our own age." Ash offered.

"No crazy adventures?" Nia asked.

"None today at least." Ash said seeing the adults still arguing. "Come on I'll introduce you to the group."

Upstairs

"Everyone, this is my cousin, Nia." Ash said. "Nia, this is Goh, Chloe, and Serena."

"So are all of you battlers like Ashlynn here?" Nia asked.

"Nope, just Ash." Chloe admitted. "How about you?"

"Not a Pokémon to me." Nia said.

"Are you sure you two are related?" Goh asked with a laugh.

"The jury is still out on that." Ash said. "Come on relax, take a load off. I have a feeling we're going to be stuck here for a bit."
