"Hey team, just checking in, you having fun yet." Professor Cerise asked the five bored teens.
"Great considering that we came here to be able to not bump elbows, and now the new kids parents are preventing us from looking into the Regis right outside of town." Ash said with a hint of annoyance.
"You making it known that you got Urshifu and Charizard from the lab did not help that situation." Professor Cerise reminded.
"They can't stop us forever, sooner or later we'll go there." Goh said.
"Just return the Regis to the lab and you can leave." Professor Cerise said.
"I'm not even a part of this, and even I know that's a bad deal." Nia said.
"You don't even have to stay cooped up in here!" Professor Cerise said angrily.
"I'm protesting by joining the fight." Nia said.
"Fine, stay up here for all I care." Professor Cerise relented.
As soon as he left, a clanging was heard as Impidimp dropped out of the vents.
"Got it Chloe?" Ash asked.
"Yep, Impidimp's investigating got us a map of the building." Chloe said.
"Main entrance seems to be a no go, and the only way to the back is past the adults." Serena said looking at the laptop.
"Right there." Nia said. "Looks like a service entrance, probably used for food trucks or laundry vans. If we can get there, we can get out."
"You seem very involved in this, especially for someone who has no ties to it." Goh pointed out.
"If my options are exploring legends with my dad, or exploring them with people my own age, the choice is obvious." Nia said. "Plus I want to see more of my cousin in action. She even made my dad sweat."
"Yeah, you should've seen Ash take on a champion." Goh said.
"My dad was one, before Leon at least." Nia said.
"Okay that's four champions I've beaten, but anyways service entrance, let's see what we can do about that." Ash said. "Looks like the easiest path is through the pool."
"And how do you plan on explaining cold weather gear at a pool, along with your Pokeballs?" Nia asked.
"Don't worry, I've got an idea." Goh said.
A few minutes later, outside the service bay
"That Impidimp is surprisingly smart." Nia said, as the gear dropped out of the vent.
"Kinda depends on the day." Ash retorted, returning him to his Pokeball. "Let's check out those ruins."
Outside the ruins
"Anything?" Goh asked.
"Nothing, and I can't even make out what these say." Chloe said, looking at the symbols.
"Let me give it a shot." Nia said. "Being forth the three golems. One of ice, one of steel, and one of rock, only then will I open myself to…"
"Open myself to what?" Serena asked.
"I can't tell, I've never seen those symbols before." Nia said.
"Hey don't be too angry, you've gotten us this far. Now it's our turn." Chloe said. "Regice come on out!"
"Registeel let's go!" Goh called.
"Regirock, show them what you've got!" Serena shouted.
A beam fired from each of them at the door, a loud screeching sound filled the air as the doors opened, a cyclone filling the doorway, pulling in Ash and Pikachu.
"Ash!" The remaining four shouted.
Inside the chamber
"Oof!" Seb grunted as something hit him from behind.
"Seb?! What are you doing here? And how'd you even get here?" Ash asked.
"I've been researching legendaries in my spare time, you have your training, and I have mine." Seb lied.
"Okay, well how about we work together on this one, the others are outside and I'm sure Chloe would be happy to see you." Ash said.
"Yeah, sounds like a plan." Seb said smiling slightly. He was thankful for the dim lighting or Ash would've known something was up, he hadn't slept or had a proper meal in days.
"Hey these spots on the ground, they light up when pressurized." Ash said stepping on one.
"Try hitting another." Seb said stepping on two nearby.
"You're joking right? The closest is behind me." Ash said. "You're not joking. Okay then." Ash said forming an aura bubble on his back as he slowly bent backwards, his hand touching the other button. With Feraligatr and Pikachu managing to activate the other three.
The chamber was overflowing with a purple energy as the statue broke apart, revealing a green and red Pokemon.
"Who's that?" Ash wondered hopping back up.
"Regidrago, the fourth Regi!" Seb said. "Feraligatr use Ice Fang!"
Regidrago raised the top jaw like claw slamming it down on Feraligatr.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu leapt at the legendary, throwing it off it's friend.
"Thanks Ash. Now Feraligatr use Super Power!"
Feraligatr charged at Regidrago, slamming it into a wall, repeatedly bashing the legendary into the cut stone.
"Seb call him off! This is too far!" Ash scolded.
"No you don't understand! If I don't get him…". Seb said chocking on his own breath.
"Yes Sebastian, go on. Tell him what will happen a voice said from every corner of the room.
"Darkrai! What have you done to him!" Ash shouted.
"Oh nothing he didn't agree too." Darkrai said. "He wanted to be strong enough to defeat you and I've been helping him get there."
"You sided with Darkrai! Is winning that important to you!" Ash shouted.
"I didn't know!" Seb shouted back.
"You didn't know about the Darkrai I warned you about!" Ash screamed. "He wants me dead!"
"I messed up! I had to find a way to beat you, and now I'm getting close!" Seb cried out. "If I had known I wouldn't have made the deal!"
"Ahh, foolish mortals. Never make a deal with a god." Darkrai said. "Now Regidrago, I can promise you your hearts desires if you come with me, if you stay you will be trapped again, and possibly enslaved."
Regidrago got up, and walked through the portal Darkrai had made.
"Come along Sebastian, we have preparations to make." Darkrai said.
"What you aren't trying to kill me this time?" Ash said.
"Oh, no the chamber will do that for me. Once Regidrago was summoned, the only way to get out was to capture him." Darkrai said.
"I'm sorry Ash, I didn't mean for this." Seb plead.
"Go! It's what you do best." Ash said coldly.
Back outside
"We should've heard something by now, I mean anything a text a scream, maybe we messed up?!" Serena said panicking.
"Just stay calm, Ash said she's beaten four champions. I'm sure she's fine." Nia said.
"I'm pretty sure Ash counted themself in that. We should tell the Professor." Goh said.
"No! We can figure this out, but we can't let our parents know we snuck out." Nia said.
"What else can we do, we've tried every attack we've got!" Chloe exclaimed. "I'm with Goh, we need help."
"Just let me try something. There is one parent who won't kill us for sneaking out, and he might be able to help. Can't believe I'm actually calling him. You four are a bad influence on me!" Nia yelled.
"Okay, I'm out of ideas." Ash said, having tried prying open the door, deactivating the panels, and even aura bubbling the building. "Oh, too many layers." Ash said taking off his coat and over shirt, as well as the fleece leggings. Leaving him in a tank top and thermal skirt. "Might as well get comfy if I'm going to be here for all eternity." Ash said laying back. Pikachu resting on his stomach.
"Hey what in the?" Ash said squinting. "Are those more panels? On the ceiling!" Turning on his phones light, Ash could clearly make out another pattern. "How do we hit them from here though?"
Back outside
"Alright Copperajah use High Horsepower! Aggron use Body Press!" Peony called out, as his two steel types charged at the door.
"Any luck dad?" Nia asked from a distance.
"Nothing. Whatever closed these doors clearly doesn't want them opened." Peony said.
"The five Regis can never be together, do you think that was a way to ensure they wouldn't be?" Serena worried.
"Calm down, we'll get Ash back." Goh comforted her. "I hope."
Back inside
"Okay Pikachu just like back at the lab, just now we're hitting the tiles." Ash said, kicking a hacky sack. "Your turn!" Ash said, slamming it into one, before Pikachu managed to hit it back. A few minutes of repeating this process to hit every tile, and the room filled with yet another glow, this one yellow. "Please work." Ash said on baited breath. The statue crumbled as a bolt of lightning raced around the room, stopping in front of Pikachu, poking the mouse before running off again.
"Pikachu catch it with Quick Attack!" Ash called out. Whatever it was, that electricity was Ash's only chance of getting out of here.
Pikachu chased the bolt around the room, until finally tackling it to the ground, only for it to pop up back above him, and continuing.
"How can we stop what we can't hit?" Ash asked. "Pikachu let's do it!" Ash said flashing his Z Ring. "Use Gigavolt Havoc!"
Electricity burst through the room, as the light dimmed, the bolt of electricity had a form. Not as big as the other Regis, but a form nonetheless.
"And now that it has a form, we can hit it." Ash said. "Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
Even with a physical form, the Regi was incredibly fast, and gone long before Pikachu hit where it was.
"Not enough juice left for another Z Move." Ash said. "Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
Back outside
"Chloe!" Professor Cerise shouted.
"Dad!?" Chloe exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
"I came when Peony didn't come back." Professor Cerise said. "Where's Ash?"
"In there. Nothing is opening the doors." Chloe said. "Any idea on how to get Ash out?"
"Hmm, give me a minute to do some quick reading." Professor Cerise said, examining the writing.
"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
Pikachu slammed into the wall, the bolt easily outspending them.
"Gah!" Ash said sitting back down. "I can't escape unless I catch you, and I can't catch you unless I hit you, and I can't hit you because you're too fast."
Ash watched the electricity circle around the room for another minute, then got worried when it didn't pass again. Sitting up, the Regi was standing in front of him, hopping from one foot to the other.
"You're not running, or even attacking." Ash said in realization. "Pikachu, I have an idea, tag me."
Ash and Pikachu high fived with Pikachu's tail.
"Man I'm glad no one else is going to see this." Ash said, leaping at the Regi. Only for it to move out of the way, before giving off an electrical laugh. "You were locked away as soon as you were made. You're just like a little kid! Well you aren't the only one with tricks." Ash said activating his aura.
The Regi began running from Ash, as he tried his best to stop it with aura barriers. Ash finally had it cornered when it began glowing, sending off sparks. Ash felt his feet lift off the ground.
"Now you want to battle!" Ash argued, watching the Regi attempt to move in the air. Looking behind him, Pikachu wasn't doing much better.
"Charizard let's go!" Ash called out. At least in the air, his target was prone. "Use Flamethrower!"
The Regi retaliated with a Thunderbolt, blocking Charizard's attack.
"Charizard use Dragon Pulse!"
The Regi tried deflecting the attack again, but the Thunderbolt was fizzled out as he was blasted by Charizard's attack.
"Use Seismic Toss!"
Charizard grabbed the Regi, spinning it in circles, but because of the first attack, he wasn't able to drop it.
"Oh no." Ash said, as he felt himself get caught in the wind, stones and dust began circling as well as Ash tried his best not to be hurt. Finally it at stopped as Ash fell to the ground with a thud. The Regi crashing to the ground knocked out.
"Sorry to do this, but it's for everyone's own good. Pokeball go!" Ash shouted.
The Regi was enveloped in a red light as it was sucked into its Pokeball.

"Cool." Ash said, as he saw the door opening as his eyes closed.
