It has a bit to do with Articuno went into Ash's head, after everything that's happened, he just doesn't trust someone who does that without warning him.

Ash saw the tree quickly approaching, as Charizard spun out of the way of another attack.

"So probably not my best move to attack the legendary, but it worked the last time." Ash said to himself.

"Ent!"

"Sui!"

"Rai!"

The three dogs jumped out from behind the tree, ambushing Ash. "Not you three again!" Ash shouted, hearing a rustling of leaves up above. "Oh today is not my day." Ash was now outnumbered, seven legendary Pokémon against him.

"Okay, Charizard can easily take on the Articunos, and Pikachu can hold off Raikou, but are Dunsparce, Gigalith and Swampert even close enough in power to match legendary Pokémon?" Ash said worriedly. "Gotta call for backup."

"Coming in fast!" Chloe screamed in the distance.

Corviknight and Galarian Moltres quickly began to duke it out above the island as Chloe tumbled to the ground.

"Chloe, am I glad to see you. I'm a bit outnumbered here." Ash said.

"Just hit the non local legendary Pokémon hard enough and they'll turn to smoke." Chloe offered.

"Chloe. Charizard threw the three dogs into a mountain, how hard do I need to hit them!?" Ash yelled.

"I don't know, it worked on Reshiram!" Chloe said amidst a panic.

"Look, we just need to stall, maybe once Zapdos is here, things will calm down." Ash suggested. "Charizard has one Articuno, and Corvinight has one Moltres, now we just need to take care of the other six. Pikachu! Dunsparce! Gigalith! Swampert! Let's go!"

"Araquanid! Eevee! Boltund! Rapidash! Come on out!" Chloe called, as Koffing lowered to the group. "I'll take the birds, you take the dogs."

"Dunsparce use Drill Run! Gigalith use Flash Cannon! Swampert use Hammer Arm! Pikachu use Quick Attack!"

"Boltund use Wild Charge! Eevee use Copycat! Araquanid use Bubblebeam! Koffing use Sludge Bomb! Rapidash use Psychic!"

A flurry of Pokémon ran, flew, or skidded across the island in an all out battle, as Ash and Chloe ducked out of the way.

"So how'd you anger Moltres?" Ash asked.

"Had to get it here somehow, this was the easiest way." Chloe said. "How about you and Articuno? Also what about the outfit?"

"Went into my mind, tried to keep me from fighting these legendary Pokémon, and the Aether foundation thought I'd prefer this now." Ash said. "Besides you're one to talk, looks like you're ready for a normal summer."

"Moltres was in a desert." Chloe commented. "Move!"

The two dove back out of the way, as Raikou charged at them, sticking his fangs into the tree.

"Okay, Pikachu let's show them who they're dealing with!" Ash declared, having had enough. "Everyone else, fall back!"

The ten Pokémon gathered behind Ash and Chloe, as Pikachu stepped forward.

"Glad you recommended for me to bring this." Ash said, grabbing his hat from his bag. "Use 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt!"

A rainbow of electricity flew out hitting each legendary Pokémon, a bolt to each. Dropping like flys onto the ground.

"Still no smoke." Chloe said. "How else are we supposed to stop them?!"

'Thump thump thump thump thump thump thump thump'

Heavy splashes were heard, and fast approaching.

"Urshifu?" Chloe questioned.

"Even he isn't that fast or heavy." Ash said, as an orange bird leapt between them and the recuperating legendary Pokémon.

The bird looked from the trainers, to different legendaries, then back to the trainers. It quickly punted away the dogs, before taking an offensive stance against the Kanto Birds.

"Charizard, let's help out." Ash said.

"You're taking its side?" Chloe whispered.

"First legendary, all trip that hasn't attacked us, I'll take what I can get." Ash said.

"Corviknight you help out too!" Chloe said in agreement.

Charizard rocketed straight at Articuno, skidding it across the water. Corvinight shot a blast right at Articuno, as the orange bird began slamming down on Zapdos. As the Zapdos was thrown off the island, the tree began glowing.

"You don't think?" Chloe asked.

"What about Goh?" Ash asked. "If that's Zapdos, where's he?"

Meanwhile

"What do you mean there are no cabs or trains going to the Tundra?" Goh asked.

"I'm sorry sir, but until that storm clears up, we aren't letting anyone travel there." An attendant sighed. "No one want to go there for months, and now that it's going crazy, everyone wants in."

"What do you mean everyone?" Goh asked.

"There's a trainer right over there, bringing a package for research to the Tundra." The attendant said, pointing to the doors. "Doubt that he's left yet."

Back at the tundra

"Okay, how come we brought the birds back, but the storm is getting worse?" Chloe said as they flew back to the camp.

"I don't know, wait what's that?!" Ash asked, as Charizard swooped down. "Our problems just got worse. Get back behind the barrier!"

Back by the hotel

"Chloe?! Why are you panicking?!" Professor Cerise said, holding her.

"More are coming!" Chloe said in a panic.

"What do you mean more?" Professor Cerise asked, only for a Tyrantrum to slam at the barrier.

"Ancient Pokémon are rising from the earth, I saw it firsthand." Ash said as he and Charizard landed.

"Where's Goh and Nia?" Professor Cerise realized.

"What do you mean Nia?" Ash asked.

"She left to research the runes, I thought you'd have found her." Professor Cerise said.

"Get a hold of Goh find out where he is, have Serena get a hold of Baraz in Dahara City, we need all the help we can get. I'm going to find Nia." Ash said climbing back on Charizard.

"Ash, be careful." Professor Cerise said, realizing he couldn't stop him.

"I'll be back in no time." Ash said, as they took off.

"Do you think this can hold everything out?" Delia asked, walking up to the barrier.

"It has to, and we have more work to do." Professor Cerise said.

Up in the air

"Come on! Pick up!" Ash yelled, as they dodged more Pokemon.

"You've reached Nia, leave a message, or don't." Nia's answering machine said.

"RAAAAAJAAAAA!" A voice boomed.

"Charizard. Down there!" Ash called out as they swooped down.

As they neared, Ash could make out Copperajah fighting off several ancient Pokémon, and Nia's unconcious body behind him.

"Dunsparce help out with Drill Run!"

Dunsparce quickly dispersed the ancient Pokémon, allowing Charizard to land.

"Charizard get her back safely." Ash said, digging through Nia's coat, grabbing a Pokeball. "Copperajah return. I'll be back at the base soon, I trust you." Ash said, looking Charizard in the eye, as he took off. "Okay Dunsparce, you've given me a wild ride a few times now, how about one more?" Ash asked, getting onto his Pokémon's back as it took off.
