Ash was sitting down, a map of the tundra in front of him as he was eating some breakfast.
"Ash! Care to explain this!" Richard said slamming a bottle down in front of him.
"Painkillers, care to explain why you were going through my bag?" Ash said coldly.
"If you have a problem, we can help. If you're hurt, why didn't you say anything?" Richard barked.
"Not a problem with them, and it's not a pain you can help with." Ash scolded, grabbing his map, bottle, and piece of toast before stomping off.
"May I give you a word of the wise." Professor Cerise said. "Ash may be a guy, but because of circumstances, he has a time of the month, and he's likely to bite off your head during that time."
"Great, and I just angered him." Richard sighed. "Why is parenting so difficult?"
"Because you're reciprocating Ash's anger. He has a right to it, you need to let him get it all out." Professor Cerise said.
"So we're just dropping the pretense that my nephew Ashton is a girl?" Peony said.
"When'd you figure it out?" Richard sighed.
"Never believed it, but eighteen years is a long time, who am I to judge who Ash wants to be." Peony said. "They're a good kid, and they remind me a lot of you Rich. Give them time, and maybe some space."
Back in the main planning area
"Ash, if you aren't up for this, you can hang back today." Chloe offered.
"No, I'll be fine. Besides with all the other legendary experts busy, we need you to find out where Keldeo is while we get the others. Anyways, Cobalion hopefully will remember me. Be careful, we want these ones on our side, so try to avoid attacking." Ash said.
"Says the one who attacked Articuno." Chloe countered.
"Goh, Serena, take a Tauros, it's too dangerous out in the air right now. They can outmaneuver the ancient and legendary Pokémon. Chloe, make sure the same goes for anyone else, there's thirty, we should have enough." Ash said, getting on the lead Tauros. "Four hours, we meet back here."
"Got it." Goh and Serena said, each climbing on a Tauros.
"Hey Ash, what can we do to help?" Parker asked as he and the other kids approached.
"Parker, I applaud your group for sticking around, but this is out of your league." Ash said.
"We can help. We helped take down Team Rocket!" Brittany said.
"This, what's going on outside of this bubble. Is out of your league, it's out of my league, it's in a league all its own." Ash pointed out. "Stay here, keep the peace, if something breaks through, stop it."
Goh had the closest spot, just past where Regieleki had been was a grassland.
"According to Tracey, Virizion should be around here somewhere." Goh said.
A galloping was heard fast approaching him.
"I know I'm not looking for them, but progress is progress." Goh said, prepping Tauros.
As the green Pokémon raced by, Tauros quickly took off after it.
'Virizion the Grassland Pokémon, a Grass and Fighting type.' Goh's Pokédex said.
"Never mind, you're exactly who I'm looking for. Hey wait up! We need your help!" Goh shouted.
Elsewhere Serena hopped off her borrowed Tauros. Didn't look like many Pokémon could make it in through the cave entrance.
"Terrakion, are you in here, we need your help?!" Serena called out.
A loud series of crashes was heard from down below.
"Seems like as good a place as any to start." Serena sighed, making her way down. "Not how I expected to spend a vacation."
As Serena continued the descent, the crashes were becoming more and more clear. She turned a corner to see Terrakion attacking a wall over and over again. As soon as she stepped into the room however, it turned and charged at her.
"Rillaboom! Stop them!" Serena called out.
Rillaboom struggled holding Terrakion back, but it seemed to finally get some footing.
"I'm not your enemy, but I need your help to stop what's happening." Serena plead
Ash hopped across the ice flow, he could see Cobalion in the distance, looking out into the sea.
"Cobalion, we need your help." Ash said approaching.
Cobalion turned, an angry look on his face, but he didn't attack.
"I'm guessing you know what's going on, and that I'm at fault for it." Ash sighed. "We didn't mean to cause all this, I thought that if I captured Regieleki, I could stop the world from ending, but I guess it didn't matter."
Cobalion stood, looking at Ash, his horn beginning to glow.
"I didn't mean this! I'm trying to fix it!" Ash exclaimed, as Cobalion jumped up, sending a Flash Cannon out into the waters behind him, landing beside Ash. "What's out there?"
Back in the grasslands
Goh realized they were now going in circles, heading up the cliffs.
"Virizion isn't running from us." Goh said, looking around, seeing a green appendage slash through the clouds. "Oh no. Flygon we need help!"
Flygon flew into the air, sending a Draco Meteor at the target. Rayquaza stuck his head down through the clouds, an attack heading straight for Goh. Virizion quickly sped forward, grabbing Goh and running out of the way of the attack.
"You're on our side? Then let's fight this fake together! Flygon use Draco Meteor! Quagsire use Hydro Pump! Swinub use Icy Wind!"
Virizion sent a flurry of leaves out at the dragon, wrapping it up, causing Rayquaza to come crashing to the ground.
In the caves
Rillaboom was still being slowly pushed back by Terrakion, but not towards a wall, rather the exit.
"You're not attacking us! Rillaboom back off!" Serena said. A loud rumbling shook all three off of their feet, the wall Terrakion was hitting crumbled, a massive heat wave hitting them. Terrakion quickly turned his attention back towards the hole Groudon was trying to escape from.
"Sylveon help out with a Moonblast, and Delphox use Psychic!" Serena called out.
Terrakion began slamming the walls and ground nearby, sending rocks tumbling at the large Pokémon, halting its progress.
Over by the ice flow
"Alright everybody. Lets do this!" Ash said. "Rowlet use Seed Bomb! Cufant use Hyper Beam! Buizel use Sonic Boom! Naganadle use Sludge Bomb! Tauros use Surf! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out to his team.
His six Pokémon charged at the incoming Kyogre, they had faced bigger and badder Pokémon then this before.
"Cobalion, I don't mean to trouble you, but a bit of your swordsmanship could really help us out right now." Ash pled.
Cobalion's horn began to reflect the light, before he launched forward, striking the Kyogre, splitting it into a cloud of smoke. As Cobalion landed, he motioned for Ash to get on.
Back at the camp
"Please tell me they were successful." Grace said, seeing Ash, Serena, and Goh's dots returning towards base.
"Hey guys! Guess who we just recruited!" Ash said triumphantly. Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion walking in behind him and the others.
"Great, now we just need Keldeo, and to restore the king!" Ren said.
