Some of you might have noticed that I didn't mention a lot about Lincoln's current home but that's because I don't plan for him to stay there even though the care would've been a valuable asset in their game. Maybe serving drinks in a bar might set the mood? Anyway I cringe while doing this.

Shoutout to tgabbyd8! For adding a favourite to all my stories! A truly committed fan!

Lily was training non stop these days, her commitment to developing her own lightning ability was definitely evident and I wasn't going to stop her either, in fact the faster she grows the more members I would be able to scoop in. The world today was harsh, dangerous and yearned for action. The news was always active whenever some sort of calamity would have occurred on the earth and it has always been that way because everyone dreams and at some point would've wanted to fly or become humanity's hero. My goal was to reach out to the individuals of this world that dream of such a reality and spark excitement into their dull and repetitive lives, easier said than done.

I had managed to sell my store to a real estate company that planned on investing in a three star hotel. Since they wanted to turn my old friend into a new creation, I managed to trick them into giving me 3 times the original price that I had paid for the building. Things were being slowly sorted out one at a time, I bought a seemingly normal liquor store in Royal Woods not too far from the city's mall, reason being that I wanted our secret hideout to be closer to my new home, that meant I needed a bartender who was experienced in that field and open to the idea of superpowers. Now that I thought about it, I would have to play the villain pretty much all of the time when our trainees had become eligible to fight or maybe I could have some people play that role? Perhaps I could establish consciousness in inanimate objects if I found a way.

Time passed by rather quickly and Lily's growth seemed to have stalled somewhat, so I wanted to see how much of her ability could be utilised in combat.

"Very mild electric shocks, no damage or breakage to the skin, barely enough to electrocute a single ant..." At least she didn't have any serious side effects from training.

"All that hard work for this much? Training is so hard."

"Well the training speed varies for every individual based on their abilities so I'm sure if we adjust your training method you'd be able to make a substantial amount of progress." It literally took me 10 years and you thought it would be easy? Foolish child, welcome to reality.

"Okay, if you say so then it must be true! Regardless of my growth speed I will always thrive to be a hero!"

My dear sister, you make me so proud! Would you hate your elder brother if you discovered that it was all a lie?

"Did you pack your bags like I asked you to?"

"Yes. Reluctantly..."

"Are you discouraged by something as simple as distance? You can easily find yourself at my lodging anytime you want since it's a stone's throw away from school."

"Wait, I never thought about that! I can visit my brother everyday and train my powers to fight evil!"

A brilliant idea to keep her under the radar but my dear sister isn't so recluse as her brother in holding her own tongue, I'm quite sure she would crack under the pressure, in that case, it is wiser that she stays with me until a better opportunity presents itself.

Being the lone hero of the world might not be the best experience as mangas and TV shows portray it to be and Lily might be more comfortable with persons she's more familiar with, say for example classmates, The group of individuals that will share precious moments with you while you're at school, just above this group we have friends, like your classmates but with more reliances and trust involved in the matters. If Lily would be able to have awakened acquaintances in her school then they would regularly meet up to discuss world events or even create a secret club. How exciting! Yes! I've decided that the next few awakened persons were to be hand selected by Lily based on her random encounters, I'll set it up so nicely! Maybe Lily can become club president! Just think about all the cool things they'll talk about at school! I can even listen in from time to time... Err maybe it isn't such a good idea to spy on middle school kids.

"Lily, forget packing your bags... I have a better idea."

It would've been hard for me to convince my parents to keep Lily back in my childhood days but now...

"Good evening, May I speak to Mrs. Loud please?"

[Huh? Is this Lincoln? Lincoln! Is Lily with you? Lucky! {Lana? Who's on the phone?} Hello? Good Evening]

As yes, the soothing voice of my mother, I hope she doesn't scold me for keeping Lily.

"Hey Mom, I trust that you guys are doing well."

[Lincoln? Oh my sweet baby boy] What is this cringe? I'm an adult now!

"Heh yeah... so Mom, I wanted to discuss Lily's situation."

[Oh right! I totally forgot! It'll be difficult to collect her right now and she has to resume school tomorrow.]

"I'm staying in town right now and I think I'm going to keep Lily for some time. It's close to the school and my workplace so I'm sure it'll work out nicely."

[Are you sure? Did Lily pressure you to do this?]

"What? Lily? She would do no such thing, this is my own decision to pamper my sister, can't I?" I replied with a small amount of uncertainty

[Oh Lincoln, what would I do without a son like you. Don't spoil her too much now, remember no chocolate before bed.]

"Will do Mom, Love ya."

[Love you too my boy.]

That went well. Moments before I got off the call, I heard footsteps coming down from the second story in a rather mismatched pattern.

"Lincoln, who was that?"

Geez, the timing is just too perfect.

"Oh them? Just your parents."

"They'll be here to pick me up right?"

"Of course not, you're staying with me until we say otherwise."

In that moment, her eyes sparkled brighter than any star that ever twinkled in that beautiful night sky, a privilege you don't get to see in the city.

"OMG REALLY!? THANK YOU SO MUCH"

My eardrums, my poor eardrums, I guess I should have used my ability to block out sound waves before it happened, it wouldn't hurt to have a few protective layers every now and then.

"Alright Lily, do you have the things you need for school tomorrow?"

"Well, I have my school bag since I uh- You know why."

Oh course, how could I forget? She practically booked a first class ride from school to my house with a few words of 'encouragement'. Thinking about it now, I could probably buy some clothes for her so our parents don't actually need to show up to drop off anything.

"Okay go right off to bed now and tomorrow I'll take you to the mall after school. In the meantime I'll be sorting out some business here concerning the store."

After I verified the credibility of the website, I quickly skimmed through the recommendations list of persons with experience in working at a liquor store but none of them mentioned anything about liking manga or superheroes or anything pertaining to entertainment in their autobiography which was understandable in a way. Which puts me in a difficult position due to not having staff but I guess that can be solved in the future which means... It's time to put my heightened mind to use! I will study as much information as possible related to bartending and obtain my license by passing the test which will be a breeze! Being a bartender might actually prove useful to my operations, I can set an atmosphere of professionalism all while hiding the fact that I'm the sole enemy of the organisation itself as well as it's ruler! Small world we live in eh?

Thus completing my business with the liquor store which never actually involved anything at all, I made my way to my bedroom, which stood adjacent to Lily's room similar to my old room back in the Loud residence... Am I homesick already? Entering my room, I quickly threw myself onto the sheets and laid on my back to replay all the important bits of information that I would need to help me for the next day... What if I tried to scout some of the students myself?

The Next Morning

I was ruefully awoken from my dream of fighting rock monsters with my awesome lightning ability by the gentle and light shaking of my body. Quickly returning to consciousness, I sat upright to get him to stop, looking at his face, he was probably about to remind me that I had school this morning. So I groaned loudly before he could voice those words.

"Urgh... School, why?..."

"Oh Lily, you've missed quite a lot of work at school so I'll have to come and speak to the principal about your absence, as well as signing you up for some extra-curricular activities."

"What!?"

Was he insane!? My elder brother is coming to my school!? That ice cold gaze that matches his snow white hair, the aura of professionalism that seems to radiate from nowhere, and last of all, his overall handsomeness! He's an mc who straight up walked out of a manga comic! What will my friends think of me living with this guy!?

"Cmon, there's no time to waste, we need to get dressed."

It looks like my friend count will rise today.

40 Minutes later

There wasn't even a need for the rush Lincoln forced me into this morning. He woke me up way earlier than our normal schedule back at home. I guess my life will start going through a drastic change now that I'm training to be a superhero. I walked out onto the sidewalk as Lincoln got his bike from the garage, it was practically spotless and a really good model, either to repetitive care or he never had a need to use it in the first place.

"Hop on."

"Okay."

The ride to school was a short but memorable experience, right up until we arrived at Royal Woods Middle School. My brother parked his bike in the parking lot and turned off the engine. I asked him if he wasn't worried of it being vandalized but he said that wouldn't be possible, I'm starting to think that telekinesis isn't his only superpower.

We made our way to the front door and I tried my best to ignore all the piercing gazes I felt on my shoulder. I know my brother was heading straight for the principal's office. From what I heard, the guy here was actually Lincoln's principal in elementary school, so I'm sure that this is bound to go wrong.

"That girl looks quite interesting..."

"Huh? What? Are you out of your mind? That's the school bully!" I tried my best to exclaim with the lowest volume since I didn't need her to be breathing down my neck as well.

"Oh really? What a shame."

I'm quite concerned about the cogs spinning in his head right now, doesn't he know how he sounds right now? He could be thrown in jail at any moment.

"At last, we're at our destined location, let's see how fast he can cave."

"Wait! aren't you gonna knock first? What if someone's in there?"

"Worry not Lilian, Mr. Huggins is in for quite the surprise."

If this day couldn't get any worse, I was about to be embarrassed in front of the whole school. Thinking it was better to remain outside than face further punishment, I looked behind at the other students busy passing by, a majority of them were probably waiting to bombard me with a load of questions so I just went with the flow instead.

My brother rudely barged inside with the goofiest grin that his face could plaster, despite the serious atmosphere I really wanted to crack a grin myself.

"Oh my! Such a rude entrance! Which child dares to- Oh... It's you." Huh? Did the secretary refuse to scold someone without mannerisms? Did the sun rise in the west today? The principal won't be the same way for sure.

"Well miss, is the principal in office? Is he busy? I wouldn't want to disturb him from any important tasks now, I would feel such dishonor as a previous student of this institution!"

"Just go in, Mr. Loud."

"My pleasure miss!"

Just like before, Lincoln barged into the office startling the principal and causing him to fall off his chair.

"Ahh! Lincoln Loud!"

"Wow, I'm surprised you figured out who it was."

"There's only one nitwit who dares to barge into my office like that! After all this time have you not learned the importance of mannerisms and etiquette?"

My brother casually placed a comic on the table from the inside of his jacket, weird, does he always have those?

"Mr. Huggins, I have some concerns about my little sister regarding her absence."

"G-Go ahead."

Woah! Our principal is an ace savvy fan? How long has this been going on?

"Lily here was wrongfully accused of starting a fight against the school bully after her friend had received a bit of rough treatment, our bully here isn't well versed in combat so Lily's upbringing in the Loud family easily overpowered the girl making her look like the victim. As such, my Lily needs to be compensated by the school teachers for the work she has missed. I'm sure you could work something out right?"

"Uhh..."

Excuse me? My Lily?

"Oh and another thing. I thought it was time that Lily got into some extra-curricular activities, she may look like a freshman but she's plenty eligible for the drama club don't you think?"

"We don't have a drama club, it was done away with five years ago."

Another comic was placed on the table. Wow, my brother seems to be well versed in negotiation.

"Well Mr. Huggins, I'm actually quite glad that you suggested Lily as president of the drama club."

He puts a third one on the table, I can see the old man sweating profusely as he stares at them piling up. I really need to pay attention here since there's a thing or two I could learn from Lincoln.

"B-But she's a freshman! There's no one who actually wants to join the drama club these days."

"Thank you for bypassing all these rules for me Mr. Huggins! I am very concerned for my sister though, is it okay if I stay with her for a small duration of the day? Just to see if she'll adapt well."

"Um- I- Uh"

He finally caved after Lincoln pulled out a limited edition Ace savvy comic, adding on to the three that were already on the table. The principal let out a sigh and warned him not to cause any trouble while he was on campus but that was even necessary since mistakes were already made. We made our way out of the office, Lincoln was still smiling to himself while I thought about how complicated my life had become since the reunion with my brother. The hallway was rather empty, I guess we spent way too much time in the principal's office.

"What was your first class?"

I quickly retrieved my schedule which I had sketched behind in my journal.

"Biology."

"Okay... That should be this way?"

"Yes, it is."

"Ha, Still got it."

Though unnecessary, Lincoln walked me to my classroom and disappeared before I realised, it had caused me to whisper under my breath in amazement.

"Mysterious..."

I found myself walking down the corridors to where the previous drama club was held. I knew that it was empty for some time and that's exactly why I had selected this room. No one will actively join the drama club these days so it will be the perfect disguise for an interesting story to take place. I entered the room and saw it's quite unpleasant state, dust lay on every piece of furniture, old books were scattered as well as unused costumes.

"This won't do."

Utilizing my Psychokinesis ability, I made sure that no one was watching or spying on me, then I started to pack up and remove all unnecessary books and costumes, after all, I doubt anyone will even touch this stuff. In mere moments I was able to leave the place completely spotless thanks to my ability, I no longer needed to use my ability to guard the entrance so I took a moment to bask in my hard work.

When suddenly...

*BANG!

Due to me dropping my guard at the wrong moment, the front due flew in and a mysterious figure dashed into my arms followed by a group of girls which screamed delinquent all over their style of dress. At the sight of me holding the individual from just moments ago, they stopped in their tracks and frowned at me.

"I see what's going on here... If you return to your classes like the respectful little girls you are then I'll turn a blind to this."

"Who are you to decide that?"

"Did you not hear what I said? Or do I need to take action? Can't be thrown in jail if you are the law right?"

At the mention of my words, the girls gave up on further pursuing the matter and went back to their individual classes I suppose. The figure in my arms continued to shake even after they left and eventually distanced herself, allowing me to get a good look at her. No damages or bruises yet, looks like I was in the right place at the right time.

"Do you come here often?"

"Y-Yes."

That's no good, she's been hiding out in the drama club from everytime she got into trouble and today was the last time it was going to work.

"Can I report this to the police?"

"Huh? Maybe, It might not turn out so well, I'm not an officer anyway I was just bluffing. If I got physical then things wouldn't look too good for me in court."

She nodded her head and began to observe her surroundings which were way different to what she was used to.

"D-Did you do all this?"

I nodded at her response since there was no reason to lie, the pressure would only apply if she asked me how.

"But how!? I was here 15 minutes ago!"

Well there goes my cover, I knew it would have been a great idea to start at night but I was too eager, what a shame, I'll have to play my cards right from now on.

"Do you... Know Lily Loud?"

"Not really, She's my friend in some classes but she hardly talks to me."

"Are you aware that she has siblings? The kind that makes her virtually unapproachable?"

"What? I've never heard of it."

Strange, I'm pretty sure everyone would've known the name 'Loud' by now. This girl was probably still suspicious of me so I needed to know whether or not she could become a potential ally in this situation.

"Well, your 'friends' might be back soon so why don't we get to know each other a little."

"Um... I have to go to classes..."

"Don't worry about that, I can give you a pass if you need it. So what brings you to the new and improved drama club?"

"Drama club? The school doesn't have such a thing..."

"It does now, where Lily Loud is the head of this club, not the fiercest princess around but her family name is enough to scare away pretty much anyone."

"Really? Is it that bad?"

"Bad? Not exactly, her family is just rather often overprotective at times and each one of them has a great reputation in dealing with bullies, well most of them..."

"I see... So if I stay with Lily then will I be protected?"

"Spot on! It's that easy, now that your safety is ensured for the most part let's talk about your likes and dislikes. Are you fond of manga?"

"No... Maybe? I read something I guess and it was kinda nice."

"Don't you feel that the world is suffering from an unknown danger and someone needs to fix it?"

"What? I feel like you're interviewing me for superhero tryouts or something."

"Oh? It does feel that way huh. Given the chance to be a superhero with a random power no matter how terrible, would you jump at it?"

"Uh... Y-Yes."

"Interesting. What if these powers were to be kept secret from the world at all costs?"

"Yes. My options will remain the same!"

"What if humanity is in danger but doesn't seem to know? Will you step forward and take on the burden?"

"Yes! Even if it costs me my life!"

"Such spirit is excellent! But aren't you being too emotional over this?"

I felt like a really terrible person for bringing her down like this.

"W-Wha? I'm sorry I just thought that maybe my dreams were finally coming through, that I would be someone special. Even if it's just me keeping it to myself, that I would do something great for once."

"I just realised, I haven't got your name."

"I-It's Melania Fray."

"Lincoln. Lincoln Loud."

"Wait- You're a Loud?"

"Sure am, your name won't stick so well with Lily bug so try getting used to Mel for now."

"Uh sure okay."

"Ms. Fray, has your curiosity been diminished? Wouldn't you like to know how I cleaned this room so quickly?"

At her approval, the objects behind levitated without ever losing eye contact, this was a pretty easy task for me but to someone without any superpower, it might seem like a great accomplishment beyond the limits of humans. She stood there gaping at me, clearly at a loss for words at what she had seen.

"Sadly miss, your body seems to have forcefully awakened itself to the predatorial stage, this means you can see the evil in this world and you'll make an easy target for them too. Even without my intervention, you would eventually reach the point where you would be consumed without remorse and cease to exist. You must be confused right now but we have time for some explanations, I hope they will suffice."

And to think she ate up all of that nonsense, am I really the villain of this story for leading innocent children away from their normal lives?

Nevertheless, I managed to explain everything to her a little slower so that she wouldn't pass out from the shock of it which ended up taking away more of my time to scout for new agents so two will have to do for now.

"So sit back and relax, I will do my best to carry out a successful operation."

Once again, I felt my ESP energy and gently RIPPED off a part of it causing me a lot of pain but at least I was adapting to it. I tried to force the ability into her body and found it harder when I had done so to Lily, did it have anything to do with relations? Is that why it was so easy then? This feels like it could go on for hours, which it didn't. When my ESP energy had successfully merged with her body, I informed her that I was finished.

"What will happen to me now?"

"I can't say for sure, the ability you reawaken is completely unknown to me until you can use it."

With this in mind she quickly tried some of the basic gestures you would see in those superhero TV shows, but none of it really worked. Trying to guess her ability based on the movement of her ESP energy, I noticed that they were rather slow and contained less reactions as compared to Lily's energy so I made a calculative guess of what it could be.

"We will test your ability some other time. With that in mind, why don't we get a little something for Lily?"

Somewhere in a land faraway, there stood the average loyal pizza delivery man that was ready to go on his journey to deliver the two large boxes of pizzas when suddenly...

*WHOOSH!

They had mysteriously been lifted into the air and began their journey to another faraway land leaving behind a random lump of cash.

"Hey Ron, yeah you're not gonna believe this."

It was just about the start of the Lunch period and after making my newest member of our organisation aware of the world lying in the shadows, my world of course, but now it seemed that her attention was caught elsewhere.

"I hope she sees us when she arrives, it would be nice to have all the ability users in one place."

She instantly whispered under her breath at my statement.

"Just the two of us is nice enough."

As the respectable adult that I am, I'm just going to pretend that I hadn't heard that. After a few minutes of students lining up at the cafeteria and complaining about today's lunch, Lily finally arrived.

"Lincoln? I thought you went home already. Who's this?"

"Your junior."

"Junior? We're both freshmen- Oh, you meant- Oh welcome to the club I guess."

"Well that's enough for introductions, I thought that the cafeteria food might not be to your liking so I got us some pizza."

"Pizza! Cool!"

The simplest of things can spark joy in Lily even to this day, A great role model she will make for her followers. However, I forgot to take into account that Lily had friends...

"Lily! Aren't you gonna sit with us today?"

I wanted to tell her to have fun but I guess she didn't want us to feel left out, what a sweet girl. But her friends seemed to have some kind of ulterior motive.

"Good day kind sir, you wouldn't mind us taking a seat here would you?"

It kinda defeats the purpose of secret meetings if I was just gonna have students swarming me every now and then so I did my best to bear with it and answered each of their questions until the end of lunch.

"Geez I'm exhausted."

"Serves you right for coming in the first place."

"I know, I've learned my lesson. I'll be back to pick you up after school so be good alright."

"I will."

Lincoln soon left quickly for his newly purchased store, it was a considerable size for a bar, he needed to order different types of drinks, liquors and perhaps even coffee since underage children don't drink.

He had ordered enough materials to bring the bar up to regular standards, thankfully would arrive 1 or 2 days at most which gave him time to abuse his memory power to pass the exam. But being a bartender wasn't all about knowing, there was an aspect of bartending that one couldn't learn in attending any school or from the books, experience. Rapidly mixing drinks while maintaining a calm and composed attitude was needed to maintain your sanity while working behind the stick, customers were gonna be indecisive, drunk or know it all without actually having a clue about cocktails. You can also get into all kinds of awkward situations with customers, ranging from them having too much alcohol or carrying fake identifications. With all of this information to keep note, I had to keep focused on my studies, examinations can come after.

Of all the ways one could have been certified to own their own bar, the alcohol awareness course seemed like the fastest way out, It would only take about a minimum of 10 hours to complete the course, and I can do this even faster, all I needed to do was to sign up for the course at the University of Michigan

In a matter of 50 minutes, I had completely reviewed the material required for valid entrance for the interview but it wouldn't have hurt to learn a thing or two about drugs and their uses since a lot of shady people also show up at bars.

Later that day, I attended an interview at the University where the alcohol awareness program was currently being conducted for the attendees and I waited until the lecturer wrapped up his program. I carefully explained to them that I was the guy who signed up an hour ago for the program and that I had completely reviewed everything they posted on the outline which they doubted but really? I paid a whole $50 for this course and you guys were denying me the right to take the exam!?

"Understand this Mr. Loud, We'll give you one chance to pass the exam but if you can't pass with 85% and above then you'll pay triple the price!"

I was not very fond of empty threats but what was I to be worried for?

"I accept this offer."

It didn't even take me 5 minutes to fill out all the answers on the sheet. The invigilators decided to mark my exam just to see how poorly I did, that works for me since I got my certificate faster. I walked out of that place with a wide grin on my face that day.

My older brother has caused quite the commotion in my life today. A lot of my friends wanted to know if he was my father, like excuse me? Can you not see the age difference here? At least some of them kept a rational mind and asked me about my brother but I had already seen the glint in their dirty eyes.

One thing I was dying to know right now was about this newcomer, Lincoln was not able to test her abilities since she had been recently awakened but like what's the hold up? I'm anxious to know how strong she is, could she have been granted an ability that counteracts mine? Is it even useful in the first place? Well only time would be able to bring all secrets into light.

I sat on the bench waiting for Lincoln, trying my best to get the girls to lay off my brother, like why would he be interested in someone their age? Be real people and get over it! Suddenly they all went quiet, causing me to snap out of my delusions and see the figure approaching me.

"Lily, I see you made friends again. Hop on, it's time to go to the mall."

Wow, you always arrive at the best moment. Has anyone ever mentioned that to you Lincoln?

"What took you so long?" Of course my brother was putting me through alot by simply being there so why not earn some cool points off of him as well? I could literally see all the girls looking at me with envy and the only thing I could do was smile, I'm not a terrible person right?

"How was your day?"

"Full of unavoidable, uncomfortable and questionable encounters."

"Sounds like an eventful day."

Are you not aware of the chaos you have ensued upon these middle school girls? Whatever, none of this will matter when I become a full time superhero. We were at the mall before I even realized it and Lincoln told me to see what kind of clothing I wanted, of course I wanted something with cool dark designs and patterns to represent my ability but I might end up looking like a weirdo but who could say that to my face?

"That's... A strange mixture of purple and white, you might look silly in this."

Damn you! Where's my supportive older brother!? I didn't even ask for your opinion!

"You think so? Then I guess I'll go with this one."

"Sure that looks nice. You might want to hide your appearance more often than not for future events so try to look for some clothing that might help with your disguise."

"Can't I just take a black and purple hoodie?"

"Fine, go ahead."

Oh yes, I'm about to clean this entire section of hoodies. I hope you have enough to cover for all this. Lincoln was nervous about all the clothing I haphazardly picked up so I replaced a few pieces, no hard feelings bro?

"My wallet, now I definitely need to open the bar."

"Justice cannot exist without style brother."

I'm certain with this new fashion look, my training speed should increase or something, it's just like those equipment in novels I've read.

"Lily when we get home, I will demonstrate the new training method I've developed for you."

Sweet! The effects are already kicking in!

That afternoon, Lincoln was trying to explain to me how ejecting all my powers out of my body at once could actually increase the capacity as well as the destructivity. There was no way to train such an ability in school, I would look like a human eel.

"There's also the option of getting zapped by current just above your level."

"So I can charge myself from our house?"

"No, 240 volts from an electrical output will no doubt damage your insides. A joy buzzer would work."

So, there were two methods to help train my powers and increase my body's resistance to electricity. It wasn't going to be easy but it had to be done one way or another.

The stage is slowly being set but we'll get there eventually.

Until next time.
