"So what time did Ash say he'll be here?" Chloe asked.

"He doesn't have a flyer, so it'll be an hour or two for him to get back." Serena said.

"We could've picked him up." Goh pointed out.

"He said he wanted to go on foot, not that I blame him, but he has three bags with him right now." Serena said.

On the other side of town

"Alright, everything is stable, let's get going." Ash said to Pikachu.

"Perhaps we can help." A woman's voice said.

"Thank you, but I'll manage, it isn't that hard of a trip." Ash said.

"Oh, I wasn't offering to carry your bags Ash." The woman said.

Ash looked up seeing a very familiar face. "Agatha? What are you doing here?" Ash said, a bit surprised.

"For the world coronation series of course." Agatha said.

"Wait, but you retired from the elite four, and from the gym? Also I beat you last time." Ash said.

"Oh heavens no. I'm not going to be battling you this time." Agatha said. "No, but I have some friends who are interested in having a match against you."

"Oh, do they?" Ash said. "Well I hope they're ready!"

"Calm yourself child." Drasna said. "You need more patience."

"Impulsiveness can lead to greatness as well." Bertha said.

"Wait, I'm fighting both of you? Now!?" Ash said.

"Not at once, but yes." Drasna said, sending a challenge to Ash.

"Alright then." Ash said grabbing a Pokeball. "How many?"

"Three on three. For both of us." Bertha said.

"Okay, sounds good. Pikachu get pumped you'll be up soon." Ash said. "Ready!"

"Ready." Drasna replied.

"Drakloak I choose you!" Ash called.

"Noivern come on out!" Drasna said calmly.

"Drakloak use Double Hit!"

"Noivern use Air Slash!"

Dreepy and Drakloak shot forward, narrowly evading the attack as they struck Noivern.

"Noivern use Super Fang!"

"Drakloak use Dragon Pulse!"

Drakloak easily passed through Noivern's attack, the bat like Pokémon being sent hurtling backwards from the attack.

"Noivern use Dragon Pulse!"

"Drakloak use Phantom Force!"

Drakloak dissappeared just before the attack hit him.

"Noivern be ready."

"Drakloak now!"

Drakloak shot out of the shadows beneath Noivern sending it high into the sky.

"Noivern use Dragon Pulse!"

Drakloak was shot into the ground, as Noivern came barreling towards it.

"Noivern use Dragon Pulse!"

"Drakloak use Dragon Pulse!"

The attacks collided in a large explosion, as the dust cleared, both dragons were unable to battle.

"Noivern return. Come on out Druddigon!"

"Drakloak you did great. Kangaskahn you're up!"

"Druddigon use Revenge!"

"Kangaskhan use Strength!"

Kangaskhan and Druddigon tackled into each other, resulting in a battle of willpower.

"Druddigon use Dragon Tail!"

Druddigon launched into Kangaskhan, sending it flying back to Ash, switching out a new Pokémon in its place. Regieleki zoomed around for a minute before stopping in front of Ash.

"Alright Regieleki use Extremespeed!"

"Druddigon use Chip Away!"

Regieleki was gone in the blink of an eye, a second later, Druddigon fell to the ground, Regieleki on the other side.

"Now use Thunderbolt!"

Druddigon's prone body was zapped and flailed around before finally falling.

"Druddigon return. Come on out Altaria. Use Moonblast!"

"Regieleki use Magnet Rise!"

Altaria stopped mid flight as it seemed to lose control of which way was up and down, now just floating.

"Regieleki use Thunder Cage!"

"Altaria use Sing!"

Regieleki sent a burst of electricity out, trapping Altaria even further, as Regieleki fell asleep.

"Regieleki return! Come on out Kangaskhan!"

"Altaria use Cotton Moonblast!"

Altaria tried attacking Kangaskhan but only launched itself back into the cage it was trapped in.

"Hope this works. Kangaskhan it's time to Mega Evolve!" Ash shouted, activating his mega ring. "Now use Power-Up Punch!"

Both Kangaskhan launched at Altaria, breaking through the cage, and striking the bird.

"Kangaskhan use Ice Punch!"

"Altaria use Cotton Guard!"

Altaria blocked herself with her wings, as the two Kangaskhans attacked her.

"Altaria use Moonblast!"

"Kangaskhan use Strength!"

Altaria was unable to stop both Kangaskhan as she was tackled to the ground.

'Altaria is unable to battle, Kangaskhan and Ash are the winners.' The Rotojudge declared.

Back at the lab

"Serena, are you sure today is the day?" Professor Cerise asked.

"He messaged me that he was off the plane and on his way back, I'm sure today is the day." Serena sighed. "Do you think he's hurt?"

"He had two legendary Pokémon with him, I'm more worried about whatever has stopped him." Professor Cerise commented. "Will you be joining us for dinner?"

"No, I'll wait here in case he comes back." Serena said.

Back with Ash

"All set Ash?" Agatha asked.

"Yep. Request has been sent." Ash said.

"And it's accepted." Bertha replied stepping forward. "It's been a while since our last match, hasn't it?"

"Yeah, and I remember you being a tough trainer." Ash said.

"Oh I'm sure you'll do fine." Bertha said.

"I said tough, not impossible." Ash retorted. "Pikachu, you're up."

"Golem, I choose you!"

"Pikachu use Iron Tail!"

"Golem use Rock Blast!"

Even with his greater speed, Pikachu was knocked around by the rocks going towards him.

"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"

"Golem use Rollout!"

Golem grappled Pikachu with ease, sending the two on a wild ride.

"Stop. Pikachu come back." Ash relented. "You did great buddy, but I think this isn't your fight."

"Pika." Pikachu replied dizzily.

"Urshifu I choose you!"

"Golem use Rock Blast!"

"Urshifu use Surging Strikes!"

Urshifu slid from side to side, moving in on Golem, sending a series of punches blasting water into his opponent.

"Golem use Rollout!"

"Urshifu use Focus Punch!"

Golem spun at Urshifu, only to be launched back the instant the two Pokémon made contact.

"Golem return. Gliscor it's time, use Thunder Fang!"

"Urshifu use Aerial Ace!"

Urshifu sped through Gliscor's path, only for the scorpion bat Pokémon to spin around biting down on Urshifu's arm.

"Urshifu use Focus Punch!"

"Gliscor use Ice Fang!"

Gliscor sunk its fangs further into Urshifu as he ignored the pain, before launching a counter attack at the Pokémon, knocking it off of his arm.

"Gliscor use Fire Fang!"

"Urshifu use Surging Strikes!"

Urshifu was going slightly slower, his one arm heavily injured. Gliscor was finally struck down and defeated.

"That's a powerful Pokémon. I'm thoroughly impressed." Bertha said. "Gliscor return. Hippowdon come on out!"

"Urshifu use Surging Strikes!"

"Hippowdon use Iron Head!"

Even at its larger size, Hippowdon was able to overpower Urshifu's speed, sending the fighting types backwards.

"Urshifu, are you okay!" Ash asked running up to him.

"Shi! Fuuuu." Urshifu said, falling to the ground.

"Urshifu return." Ash said. Pikachu stood no chance, Urshifu and Drakloak were knocked out, Regieleki was asleep, and Kangaskhan was in poor condition, leaving him one choice. "Cufant I choose you!"

"Hippowdon use Fire Fang!"

"Cufant use Iron Defense!"

A sandstorm began whipping up, as Hippowdon latched down on Cufant.

"Hippowdon use Dig!"

"Cufant use Iron Defense!"

Cufant continued bracing himself as Hippowdon disappeared underground.

"Cufant use Iron Defense again!"

Hippowdon stuck its head out of the ground, sending Cufant high into the air.

"Cufant! Use Tackle!"

"Hippowdon use Iron Head!"

Cufant came crashing down, a pile of dust flowing out around the area.

"Cufant? Are you still in there?!" Ash asked.

A bright light burst from the storm, as a guttural roar echoed out from it.

'Copperajah has been added to your Pokédex.'

"Hippowdon use Fire Fang!"

"Copperajah use Heavy Slam!"

Hippowdon was flung out of the storm, as it began to clear. A Copperajah standing in the center.

"Hippowdon use Iron Head!"

"Copperajah use Superpower!"

The two heavy weights slammed into each other, as Hippowdon was launched into the air.

"Copperajah use Hyper Beam!"

Hippowdon was prone in the air, as he was enveloped in the blast.

'Hippowdon is unable to battle. The winner is Copperajah.' The Rotojudge declared.

"You've come a long way." Bertha said. "You'll make it all the way."

"Thanks, all of you." Ash said. "But I should really get going, people are waiting for me."

A while later

Ash entered the lab, it was dark at this point. At the far back, he could see a single flame. Walking up he saw Serena passed out, by what was likely a nice dinner now cold.

"Sorry about that Serena, I'll make it up to you." Ash said. Walking off to find a blanket.
