A/N: This is the first time I am writing fanfiction on this site. I have planned to do a crossover between Harry Potter and Teen Wolf because there aren't many on this. Harry is female and is Derek's sister. How that happens...well you've read to find out.

I don't own Harry Potter or Teen Wolf.

Prologue

1st November 1995

Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the Order of the Phoenix leader was pacing in his office, with a quite uncharacteristic frown on his face. A lot has happened overnight, and he was still having a little hard time grasping. James and Lily Potter were dead, their daughter was almost killed by Tom, and if he was correct in his assumptions, Lily's sacrifice cast a protection charm on Amaryllis, thus backfiring the Killing curse on him. And while the entire Wizarding World is celebrating thinking that he is dead, Dumbledore knew that he is just gone for now. Besides, his supporters were still not off the hook and would definitely act on vengeance by trying to kill Amaryllis. No, she needed to be sent away from the Wizarding World until she is ready.

At first, he had decided to send her to Petunia Dursley, Lily's sister's house. Since Petunia was Lily's last remaining relative, her magic would be sealed, giving Amaryllis the ultimate protection. Despite the strain in their relationship, he still believed that she might take her in and give her the love and care, considering her to be the last remaining piece of her sister. However, his hope was shattered by what Minerva told him about their lot, by keeping a watch over their house the whole day. He could not bring it in his heart to send her there. So that's why, he was pacing in his office, waiting for the next best option to arrive.

A few minutes later, the office door opened, and Professor McGonagall entered, "They're here, Albus.", she said.

"Very well. Bring them in", he quickly schooled his features to the usual warm smile on his face with twinkling eyes as seen from his half-moon spectacles.

With Minerva in lead, followed a couple, most probably in their 30's. The woman had a tan complexion with dark hair and chocolate brown eyes, the man was paler than the woman with light brown hair and moss green eyes. The woman radiated power and authority, as she strode in the room with a purpose, her husband by her side.

Regardless to say, they both seemed a little confused by the sudden call as they stood in from him. "Good evening, Talia and Joshua. I'm really grateful to you for coming here as soon as possible. I hope you didn't encounter any kind of discomfort in the journey." The woman smiled, "Of course not. Our journey was quite pleasant. Though we were a little puzzled by this urgent summoning."

"Yes, it would be revealed to you son. Please have a seat." After they all were seated, Dumbledore leaned forward in his desk and asked, "You might have got the news about the recent events of the Wizarding World." Talia nodded, becoming serious instantly. "Is it true? Is Voldemort truly dead?"

Dumbledore formed a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "I believe no.", he said then continued, "I believe that he has been weakened and therefore fled away. So, it can be said that he is gone for now. However, I am also certain that sooner or later, he would try to come back."

"And the girl?", Joshua asked, "The news that is all over the Daily Prophet? Is that true? Did she really survive the Killing Curse?" Dumbledore nodded in affirmation. He then proceeded to tell them of the events that took place in the Godric's Hollow, how the girl was protected by the blood magic cast by Lily and the dangers that befall her now if she is kept in the Wizarding World.

Both Talia and Joshua's frown deepened as they tried to grasp the information. After a few long-unspoken moments, Dumbledore looked up at the woman with pleading eyes, "Talia, I know that it is a big responsibility, raising a girl who would always be in constant danger. I believe that you both might be concerned about your family and your pack. But please, do this as a favour for this old man."

Talia still didn't say anything. He was right, she was concerned about her pack's safety. They already had so many enemies, especially the hunters. Although they had made a pact with the Argents, to never cross each other's boundaries, she never trusted that they would keep their side of the promise. And this baby was going to bring more danger to their pack. However, the baby had no one in this world, and she couldn't really content herself with her being sent off to those relatives if they were really that awful as Dumbledore said.

Joshua took this moment to ask, "Where is the girl?"

Dumbledore straightened himself in his chair as he spoke, "I've sent our gamekeeper Hagrid to bring her from the house. I believe, he should be here any minute." McGonagall's head snapped up at this statement. "Do you think it was right to entrust Hagrid with something as important as this?", she voiced her concern.

"I would trust Hagrid with my life!"

"I'm not saying his heart isn't in the right place," said McGonagall grudgingly, "but you can't pretend he's not careless. He does tend to – "

Her words were cut off when a man twice as tall as a normal man and at least five times as wide, with long tangles of bushy black hair hiding most of his face, came bustling through the doors of the office. In his vast, muscular arms he was holding a bundle of blankets.

"Hagrid," said Dumbledore, sounding relieved. "At last."

"Yeah, I came as fast as I could. Borrowed young Sirius Black's motorbike to get here. I've got her, sir."

"No problems, were there?"

"No, sir – house was almost destroyed," both Talia and Joshua gasped a little " but I got her out all right before the Muggles started swarmin' around. She fell asleep as we was flyin' over Bristol."

At this moment, Talia spoke up, "May I see her?"

Dumbledore nodded and gestured her to Hagrid and they bent forward over the bundle of blankets. Inside, just visible, was a baby girl, fast asleep. Under a tuft of raven-black hair over her forehead, they could see a curiously shaped cut, like a bolt of lightning.

"Is that where – ?" whispered McGonagall, from the side.

"Yes," said Dumbledore. "She'll have that scar forever."

Without another word, Talia slowly picked up the girl into her arms, careful not to wake her up, however in vain. The baby shifted a little and slowly started to wake up, and soon she was staring at a pair of the most exquisite green eyes she's ever seen. Her face softened at the sight of the child; her eyes were still a little bloodshot from all the crying she might have done. The baby didn't cry anymore but started cooing at her, and she smiled fondly at her.

"What's her name?", she asked.

Dumbledore replied, "Amaryllis Lily Potter."

"She has the prettiest eyes!", she spoke softly.

By that time Joshua had also loomed over her shoulder to look at the baby girl. He too smiled softly, "Yes, she does." She felt something shift inside of her and found her inner wolf being protective towards the baby. Thus, when she looked up to face the remaining four occupants of the room, her determined gaze already told them that she had made her decision.

"She would be protected and cherished in our family and pack."

Her husband agreed with her, accepting his alpha's decisions.

Dumbledore breathed a sigh of relief and had a teary smile of gratefulness. "Thank you, Talia! Thank you so much. I will immediately arrange for the blood adoption. It will help keep her mother's magical protection alive even when she is not staying with any relatives on her mother's side. Furthermore, if you want I will personally go with you and cast protective blood wards around your house."

The couple nodded at this proposition. Sensing they needed to be alone for a while, Dumbledore gestured the other two occupants to leave the office with him. With the permission of both Dumbledore and Talia, Hagrid bent his great, shaggy head over Amaryllis and gave her what must have been a very scratchy, whiskery kiss. Then with his uncontrollable sobs, and reprimands from Professor McGonagall, the three of them left the office.

Joshua took the baby in his arms, and looking fondly at her face, he proposed, "Her name would be famous all over the world, 'Lia. It would be best if we give her a new name."

Talia pondered over that thought over for a moment, "You always used to say that if we had another daughter, we would name her Amara, right?"

He looked up at his wife and broke out a grin. Looking back at the bay girl, he mused, "AMARA HALE...our daughter!"
