A/N: Never fear. Casey has a gentler approach. Wait a second. Does he?
Disclaimer 3: No stalker or beta was harmed when Casey took matters into his own hands.
Whew! davida6 was safe to beta the end of this story. Thanks!
The next day
Casey's Apartment
Colonel Casey wished he knew who to blame. He hadn't used the M134 since Mexico. He'd like to put someone up against a wall and make sure that gun still worked.
The truth was, Casey suspected if he knew who was responsible, he couldn't actually shoot any of them.
The first candidate was Devon Woodcomb, aka Dr. Frat Boy. He always said everything was awesome. Back when Casey was doing surveillance on Sarah's first sleep-over mission, Casey had trouble with the audio because Ellie had been poisoned andbugged. He did catch the most important thing she said. If everything is awesome, then by definition everything is mediocre. Casey let out a laugh-grunt in agreement.
Dr. Mediocre was too nice of a doctor, bringing the stalker into their orbit.
Then, there was Chuck Bartowski, aka the walking computer. Chuck was too nice to everyone. Trying to spare his brother-in-law, he made matters worse, getting the stalker interested in him. Chuck made stupid decisions that led to Lou, Jill, and Hannah. Those were all before Walker let Chuck mix his chocolate in her peanut butter. Now, those kinds of distractions were supposed to be over. The future Mr. Walker should know better than to attract a stalker who Walker might permanently eliminate.
Unfortunately, Walker had her brain infected, thinking Casey's furry roommate, Morgan Grimes, could handle an unstable woman. Casey would probably never understand what his daughter saw in that man. Sure, he had come through in the clutch a few times, but he was still annoying. He was only barely tolerable because he was so different and fearless in the face of man-eating tigers that he was willing to electrocute himself.
That didn't earn the bearded troll the right to date Casey' daughter, Alex. She was the person who made that call, and currently he was her choice. As her father, he had to accept her choice. By dating Alex, Grimes put his life in danger. As long as his daughter didn't want him to erase the bearded troll, that wouldn't happen. If that changed, the idiot wouldn't be a problem to anyone, anymore.
So why had he attracted the interest of the stalker? Apparently, Alex wasn't the only one with odd tastes. Casey didn't like the idea of Alex's tastes matching a stalker, but with Devon and Chuck also being targets, someone was clearly wrong with this woman.
Casey wondered whether this "Jennifer" would wake up before the police came to get her. He wasn't sure if it would be easier to hand her off if she wasn't conscious and tied up, or if it would be easier if she wasn't saying anything.
A couple hours ago, he was leaving the Buy More and saw the stalker sitting in her green station wagon in the parking lot, waiting for Grimes to leave. Casey wasn't going to let this unstable woman near his daughter's boyfriend, so knew it was time to do something about the entire situation. He walked up to her driver's side window, got her to roll down her window, and shot her with a tranq gun. Then, he tied her up and carried her over to the Vic. In doing so, he learned he could carry unconscious people across the Buy More parking lot, and no one would care. The insanity inside the store, where weird things were considered normal, extended to the parking lot—maybe even the entire Buy More Plaza.
Part of him wanted to eliminate her and dispose of the body. That's what he'd do in most other countries. However, this woman, as crazy as she was, was an American citizen, so she had rights. He brought her to his apartment and called the police. Then, he tied her up in a chair in the living room and waited for her to be taken away. Sitting where she was, she violated four restraining orders, whether she knew it or not. He just hoped her obnoxious pink turtleneck sweater and leopard print gloves didn't scare aware anyone that would take her to jail.
After a couple minutes, Casey got his answer about what would happen when his prisoner left. The woman tied up in the chair started to wake. It took another minute for her to wake up completely. After that, it did not go how he planned.
Jennifer smiled and said, "It's you!" She looked down at her ropes and shifted back and forth to confirm she was secure. It wasn't much of an attempt to get free, but she wasn't trying hard. Her smile got bigger, "And you wanted to tie me up."
Yes, he liked to do that to prisoners. He also liked to shoot people. He didn't understand why she was smiling. She didn't act like being tied up was a problem.
"You brought me to your home and made sure I won't leave." Her smile got bigger. "I won't leave. I'd tell you my safe word, if you want it. We don't need it, though."
Uh, oh. "Listen, lady this isn't—"
"You think I'm a lady? How sweet!" She looked around the room, and said, "You're a Marine. I bet you're a big, strong, tough guy." Her voice changed to be seductive. "I like big, strong men, and I don't mind being tied up."
"What are you doing?" Casey asked.
"I'm getting ready for the fun. Do you want to have some fun? I'd like to have some fun with you."
"First Devon. Then Chuck. Then Morgan. Now, you are trying me."
"I don't know who those people are."
"The doctor you had checking your heart. He lives next door."
"Oh, the doctor. He looked yummy, but he wasn't the one for me."
Casey said, "Then, his brother-in-law who works at the Buy More's Nerd Herd. He also lives nearby. He's getting married in a few days. You made the mistake of crossing his fiancée. I know better than that. She threw me out a window once." He left out the part about why she did it and the fact that he asked her to do it. The point was that she could do it. He also knew better than to mess with her. Casey liked messing with Chuck, but he knew not to go too far because Walker might do something to him.
Jennifer looked confused by description, obviously never learning how she was lucky to survive the encounter with the fiancée/assassin. "I liked his short, curly hair. It looked like I could run my hands through it."
Casey thought that would be a way to get a person's hands cut off. That hair belonged to Walker. Only she was allowed to do that. The CIA agent had said so, and unfortunately, Casey had to hear her say that once.
He continued, "Next was the Buy More store manager. He happens to be my roommate and is dating my daughter. You made her upset. I should break you in half for that."
The tied-up woman smirked. "If she can't hold on to her man, that's her problem, but that's ancient history." She wiggled a little, still secure in the chair. "I didn't know you knew about them, but they no longer matter. Now, you have me right where you want me." She looked at Casey with a seductive pout. "John."
Oh, crap. Casey was still wearing his Buy More green polo and his "John" name tag, so now she knew his name.
The woman's expression was suddenly confused. "You have a daughter old enough to be dating that store manager. How old are you?"
Casey had enough of this. Turns out, the answer to whether the stalker was going to be awake when the police arrived was no. He took the tranq gun out of his waist and shot Jennifer again. Her head collapsed, so he wouldn't have to listen to her anymore.
Casey fondly thought back to that time with a KGB agent who was going to kill him. He might like someone like that, but not some random, flighty broad who was having trouble dealing with her breakup from a few days ago, causing her to get way too interested in whoever treated her like a person, or apparently a tied-up prisoner.
Five minutes later, the police arrived to take the stalker off his hands. Casey showed his NSA badge and explained that for the woman's own safety, she needed to stay away. He'd let the locals deal with how to handle her—jail, some kind of mental facility, whatever. They just needed to keep her out of National Security concerns.
As Casey stood in the courtyard, watching the police drive off with 'the threat,' Ellie and Sarah walked through the courtyard arch. They must have been some girly place like a tearoom for lunch, or wherever women went. (He thought Sarah was better than that. These Bartowskis and Woodcombs had turned her into a real girl.)
Ellie greeted him, "John. Why were they police here?"
Sarah asked, "Was that…"
"Yes, the problem has been neutralized." Chuck could have taken care of this days ago and avoided all of these problems, but Casey wasn't about to point that out in front of the protective sister and the soon-to-be-wife.
"What did you do?" Ellie asked. "I thought Chuck and Sarah took care of it. That woman stopped coming into the hospital. That's all I wanted. I do feel a little bad. She needed help. Just not help anywhere near Devon."
Before Casey could explain himself to justify what he did, Sarah said, "The police can get her treatment, Ellie. Let me guess. After Chuck, she went after Morgan, so Alex came to you. You shot her and tied her up." Ellie's eyes went wide about the shooting, so Sarah clarified, "Shot her non-lethally with a tranq gun, and tied her up." That seemed to placate the doctor, and Sarah asked, "Did the stalker switch from Morgan to you?"
Casey grumbled something indecipherable and went back into his apartment. He didn't want to talk about her anymore. The best thing was he never had to deal with her again.
A/N: Season 4, Casey didn't have a girlfriend. It was a good thing he wasn't with Gertrude yet (again) because she blew up people who messed with her man.
Somewhere, Roan rolled his eyes at Casey seducing Jennifer by tying her up, but he wasn't involved in this story. That was also a good thing. Beckman had no problem bombing part of LA. She would have blown up a house.
Song: "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland. (The song is still playing, but she isn't coming back.)
