It was almost midnight in Elmore, for those who don't know, Elmore is a town located in California. Elmore is a place where the weirdest people ever live, such as cats, apes, rabbits, fish, clouds and many more. In the the Watterson house which consists of Nicole; the hard-working mother, Richard; the lazy father, Gumball; 12 year old, first son of Nicole and Richard, and is a goofy but destructive kid, Darwin; a 10 year old, adopted son and former pet fish, is similar to Gumball but is the most cheerful member of the family, and finally Anais; 4 year old, second child of Nicole and Richard, and is the smartest member of the family. In the watterson home everyone is fast asleep as they should be except for one certain blue cat, Gumball Watterson. Gumball is wide awake with two thoughts on his mind, why are there no peacocks in Elmore and how to tell Penny his feelings.
Gumball's POV
I lay there wide awake trying to fall asleep but I can't stop thinking about how there are no peacocks in Elmore and my feelings for Penny but I just can't get it outof my head. I try to fall asleep and drift off into a peaceful dream but little did I know a terrible nightmare was waiting for me. I wake up in a small village and there is a village of cats. I question why I am here and then I see wolves running and attacking the cats and the building's are up in flames. I see a peacock standing there and a baby cat. The peacock says "GET THEM ALL!" I see the wolves charge at the baby but an adult knocks the wolf back and sends the cat away to hide. I wake up screaming and crying which wakes up Darwin. Darwin looks at me with a worried look and says "What happened bro?!". I responded with " Nothing is just a nightmare". "What happened in the nightmare?" he responded. I replied with " I was in a village of cats and they were attacked". Darwin how a look of horror on his face and said "why in the hell would you dream about that?!". "I'm not sure but I did wonder why there are no peacocks and the leader of the attackers was a peacock, maybe that's why?' I said confused which I could tell made Darwin uneasy.
Nicole's POV
I woke up and saw the alarm clock said 11:45 pm and I groaned. I heard footsteps coming close to my room and I looked toward the door confused. I saw the door open and in stepped my son, Gumball Watterson. I was wondering what was wrong because I know he constantly feels bad for causing all of the damage he causes. Just like last week I found out the truth.
FLASHBACK
I brought Gumball home from school because he had destroyed the lunch room during lunch. I grab him and say "Why the hell would you do that?!. After everything I've done for you and repay me by costing me ten-thousand dollars worth of damage, I regret saying that to him because after that he fell to his knees and broke into tears and said "I'm sorry mommy. I try to be the son you want me to be. I'm sorry I'm such a disappointment to you. Maybe it would better if you never had me" he says while bailing on the ground and I was hurt by this and I said "You're not a disappointment to me gummypuss, I love you so very much. I wish you would have told me about this sooner." He gives me a big hug and then I say "Please try to do better". He replied with "I'll try Mommy".
