This is a rewrite of a story I began posting on here over a year ago—the original version lasted for seventeen chapters and was just shy of 100k words before I decided to revise the contents. After rereading the material several times, I came to the harsh conclusion that I was unhappy with the current result. I did not flesh out much of the back-story and details prior to jumping into the writing process, and because of that, found the story to be rather disorganized and overall lacking. However, I didn't want to just abandon the concept I had, so starting fresh seemed the best option. I've taken the time to plot a great deal of things out and fleshed out much more of the ideas and OCs I had for this story, so my hope is that this revision will prove to be a more fluid and detailed version. If you are a prior reader, you will notice that some of the material is the same, but there will be a lot of altered/new content as well. And I would like to apologize to those who read the previous version, but I lost my drive to continue on with the story the way it was and this was my way of salvaging it. For both old and new readers, I ask that you maintain a fair sense of suspension of disbelief when reading this; it is merely a piece of fan-fiction. I am not Japanese; the internet and a language translator are my only insights into Japanese culture, so please take those aspects of the story with a grain of salt. If anything I include is glaring problematic or inconsistent, I wholly invite those of you who are familiar to educate me in a manner that can be used constructively. The effort would be much appreciated.
All of that said, this story is based off of the anime/manga of Yu Yu Hakusho, by Yoshihiro Togashi. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
