Long ago, before the battle of the two sisters. Two unicorns were born. One was as bright as the sun with a golden mane. The other was As dark as the night with a purple mane as dark as the shadows. The parents adored the golden one saying she would be their golden child and will bring them great luck. The other pony was neglected and shunned by her family. They told her that her magic was weak and she should be ashamed to call herself a unicorn. One day, the twins felt strange. They fell ill and were coughing up a black inky substance. The parents didn't even need to take them to the hospital, for they knew what was happening. A curse was placed on the family long ago. This curse would turn them into monsters. The family would try to help their golden child control the issue while the other was cased out. The shadow one then ran into the everfree forest to escape her family. There she noticed a black and purple, fox shaped mask. The mask spoked to the dark colored pony and told her that it will help her control her curse and give her more power, if she became its host forever. Given that she was only a filly she agreed. Once she touched the mask a galaxy like hue circled around her as she and the mask shared a mind and soul. This wasn't the only thing that changed about the filly. A cutie mark of a fox paw print surrounded by a galaxy and shadow like hue appeared on her flank. The mask had told her that it was not to be seen by any other normal pony or the princesses. She agreed and decided to stay in the woods. The mask also tells her a spell so age no longer affects her. She writes it down in a notebook and goes back home. Once she does she uses the spell and gathers her things. However, when she did the spell, she was being watched by another pony. Once the dark filly leaves, the golden one enters and reads the notebook that was left behind. The dark pony, now packed to live out in the woods, learned all kinds of things. She learned about different plants and creatures that lived in the forest. She also learned of ways to control her new powers and her curse. All seems well in the end for the pony of shadow magic. But, what ever happened to the family and the twin sister? No pony will ever know.. or will they?
