Prologue
It is said that the mark of Ankh has different meanings in different realms, most notably in the land Without Magic that derives from one of the oldest civilizations in that world which was in Egypt. In the ancient times of Egypt, the mark symbolizes life. According to the Egyptians the mark depicted life however they weren't talking about the current life you lived in, it also symbolizes the physical life on Earth, the eternal life in heaven or in the underworld, immortality, and even reincarnation.
It is described as a teardrop-shaped hoop with a cross connected directly below it. The hoop of the ankh represents the sun, with the horizontal bar of the cross representing the horizon, and the vertical bar of the cross representing the path of the sun, which rises above the horizon.
Originally the use of the mark of ankh was to symbolize a long life for the king, which is often shown in paintings of pharaohs. This is a fairly common use for the ankh, and there are many painted scenes where the people of ancient Egypt give ankh figurines to the pharaoh to wish him a long and prosperous life on the throne. It is also shown in hieroglyphic form in many royal inscriptions for the same purpose. When a god or goddess was shown holding an ankh towards a pharaoh, it was to display the blessing of eternal life.
This mark of Ankh was also a key and/or an amulet that could open the doors of the world of the dead and penetrated the hidden meaning of eternity.
It can also be seen represented as a magical band that brings together all things in the knot of the center and makes it possible for them to remain united. It is then the so called Know of Isis, the notion of rejoining, Isis, as the second person of the main Egyptian trinity, formed by Osiris, Isis, and Horus, is the divine mediator, the Goddess of love and life, who will gather, as the myth tell us, the scattered pieces of her divine husband Osiris, a symbol of the Mystery.
Like this Mark of Ankh from the land without Magic, it also represents life in the Enchanted Forest. However, the mark is seen only in the works of dark magic. Instead of being known as jewelry wear in the land without magic, it is only a mark, an object. The mark is a hotly pressed object that has the same shape and design from its counterpart of the land without magic of the mark however what makes it so dark, so cruel is when the mark is used to be imprinted to an individual. When imprinted the mark cuts out to the bearer's skin, reaching to their blood and suddenly it not only does the bearer go into a magical being of being in between or as called as being in limbo but also will bring their family too. Only family of the blood would enter this state, meaning your parents- and your siblings too if you had siblings that would enter as well. When you enter to this state one of the individuals of the family will die. This is what the mark of Ankh makes it the darkest magical object to be used on because of the choice for one of you and your family would die. Which also makes the object rarely used.
It was protected by the Dark One until one day someone has stolen it.
It also has a mysterious effect although rarely used, it is also much rarer when the person, the bearer of the mark, and its family all seem to be alive and not dead. This only happened once and the reason why the mark should be feared upon. This one-time incident also has never been recorded, have never been written onto parchment. The Dark One or those with dark magic should be taken precautions.
