Happy Birthday Law

Neo watched as the two crews cheered. Luffy was the loudest of them all as usual. And poor Law was in the middle of the celebration. It was Law's birthday party. Nothing had been planned, because Law didn't want a party considering the country they were in. But Luffy had over heard the crew talking about Law's birthday. And of course, Luffy being Luffy, wanted a party. So he threw one much to Law's dismay.

Law was sitting in the middle of the party. A grumpy expression had sat on his face the entire time as he glared at Luffy.

"Come on, Tra!" Luffy said. "Have a little fun!"

"I didn't want this, Straw Hat," Law said.

"Huh? Why not? Everyone loves a party," Luffy said.

"Then you could have thrown one without me," Law said.

"But it's your birthday. It wouldn't have worked without you here," Luffy said.

"Idiot. It would have worked just fine," Law grumbled. "We're about to go to war with an emperor. We shouldn't be partying right now."

Neo had to agree with Law this time. It wasn't the best place or time to have a party. She turned her eyes to the world around them. They were still in Wano. Time to attack Kaido was inching closer with every passing day, every passing minute, and every passing second.

Cora shifted in her arms. He fussed.

Neo looked down at him. She rocked him. A little more fussing and he finally fell back asleep. Her heart fluttered with love. She still had a hard time believing their baby was finally here. But there he was. Sleeping peacefully in her arms.

"More foods ready!" Sanji called.

"Yes!" Luffy ran away from Law.

Neo sighed. Luffy had insisted on having meat, of course. And he also talked her into flying out to the ocean so he could get some. They had to take Zoro with them. It would have been very noticeable flying a large fish back to the island. So Zoro sliced the fish up into smaller pieces that would have been less noticeable. Still Neo had to use her crystals to give them cloud cover to make sure no one noticed them.

The party had gone nonstop since that afternoon. Despite the oncoming war everyone seemed rather happy. Well, everyone but for Law.

An idea came to her mind. She figured out a gift for him that he would love, especially in this moment. Summoning her wind crystals, she wrapped her winds around herself, Cora, and then Law.

'What are you doing?'

'Giving you a birthday present I think you'll really enjoy right now.'

"Hey! Where are you going?!" Luffy called when he noticed his friends rising in the air.

"Don't worry, Luffy," Neo replied. "We'll be back later."

"Hey! Come back! We're still having fun!" Luffy said.

"Leave them alone, Straw Hat," Penguin said.

"Yeah. They can go off if they want," Shachi added.

"Then I'm coming! Gum Gum-"

"No you're not!" Several Heart Pirates and a few Straw Hats pounced on Luffy, pinning him down so he couldn't follow.

"Let them be, Luffy," Chopper said as he pinned one of Luffy's arms.

"Yeah. Let them have some time alone," Usopp added as he pinned Luffy's other arm.

"Hey! Let me go!" Luffy said. They didn't.

Neo giggled, pulling them farther away from the party. Once far enough away she lowered them into the forest. Touching the ground she summoned a couple fire crystals. The sun was going down and shadows covered the forest. And she wanted to make sure Cora was warm enough.

"Thank you," Law said.

"I thought you could use some time away from them," Neo said as they strolled through the forest. "We really haven't had much time alone lately. I hope you like your gift."

Law touched her chin. They paused. He kissed her. "I love it very much. You always give me the best gifts ever."

Neo smiled. Her heart raced and warmed.

Cora fussed again.

"There, there. It's okay," Neo said.

Law tied his sword to his back. He then took Cora in his arms. "Settle down. You're safe with us."

Cora settled. His lips puckered in a suckle.

"He's such a good boy." Neo brushed her fingertips over the black fuzz on his head.

Law nodded. They continued walking again.

Neo noticed animals taking notice of them. She sent them a silent plea to give them some privacy. They listened and disappeared into the shadows.

"How are you doing?" Law asked. "Are you going to be okay with everything that's going to happen?"

"I really don't want to talk about that," Neo said. But, yes, I'll be fine with whatever happens. As long as we're together I can face anything. I do want to thank you again for everything you have done for me. I love you so much for it. You've given me the best life I could possibly have."

"I should be saying that to you," Law said. "Honestly, I never thought I'd have someone like you in my life. And we have a son now."

Neo nodded. "So how long would you like to stay out here?"

"Until we leave Wano."

Neo laughed. Her bells echoed in the silent forest. "I don't think that would be possible. No matter how much I'd like that as well."

Law chuckled.

"Luffy meant well. He just wants everyone to have fun," Neo said. "He's had a very lonely life too. Don't be so hard on him."

Law scoffed. "He's lucky I didn't slice him in pieces for throwing that party. He could have attracted unwanted attention."

"True. But it's not like we're not going to fight Kaido," Neo said.

"Okay. You've made your point, little girl," Law said. "I won't torture Straw Hat for this."

"You're such a good boy," Neo said.

"Then I expect to be given a treat later," Law said before sending her a very sexual suggestion through their bond.

"Law!" Neo flushed.

"I love that you still blush at such things." Law laughed.

Neo grumbled. She stalked ahead of him. "You're impossible, you know that?"

"Yeah. But you love me anyway." Law followed her, beaming at how much he loved it when she got flustered at his sexual suggestions. She would always be his innocent little girl that he loved very much.

I didn't think I'd figure out a story for this. Finally did! Short but simple. Also, we're getting closer to Wano! I'm so ready to start on those chapters. Unfortunately I'm drawing a blank on stuff to happen before Luffy arrives. I don't want to go from them arrive to Luffy arriving without something happening first. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I could use them. Also make sure you're all caught up with Frozen Soul. There're a few chapters after Zou I added.
