Chapter One: Prologue
One night, in the city of Station Square, the police were on duty to capture a criminal on the run. They were in such a rush to capture them. There were cars, vans, and helicopters all over the city to capture them.
"Look hard for the target, men! The criminal in sight is a blue hedgehog, emerald green eyes, red and white shoes, and white gloves! Do not lose sight of him, no matter how fast he is!" the chief stated, on the headset.
"Roger that, chief!" one of the policemen replied.
Around the corner, in the shadows of an abandoned warehouse, there was the blue hedgehog himself. He was exactly as how the chief described him. He was a blue hedgehog, with some peach colour on his arms, ab, inside his ears and muzzle, he has emerald green eyes, white gloves, and red and white shoes.
He has been on the run for around an hour, and he was out of breath. He decided to stay in the warehouse for the time being, as running from the police was very tiring after a while. His name was Sonic the Hedgehog, the hero of Station Square, or he was.
"This is getting out of hand, now. I am a wanted man, for a crime that I never even committed." Sonic thought in fear.
Sonic slowly walked towards the window, and looks outside. He sees that police cars, and helicopters are still searching for him. The sirens were loud, and Sonic could only watch, and listen.
"Sonic the Hedgehog! Come out with your hands up! You are under arrest for attempt for murder, of Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik!" the chief called out.
Sonic shook his head in anger, and he walked away from the window, and made it towards the wall, and placed his head on it.
"What am I going to do now? It wasn't even me who done this to him!" Sonic wondered.
(Flashback)
Sonic has defeated Dr. Eggman in battle, once again, and Eggman was no longer in his Eggmobile, and Sonic walked towards him.
"Go easy on me, Sonic! You have beaten me! I surrender!" Eggman whimpered.
"Well, just goes to show you, you're just wasting your time, Eggman! So, why don't you just give up? I have been chasing after you since I was eleven-years-old, and now being twenty-seven, this is getting old now!" Sonic wondered.
"I have nothing to argue over, Sonic. You're right, this is getting old, knowing you beat me every time, and I'm also getting old." Eggman stated.
"It's been as fun for as long as I can remember, but now it's not fun any more. We're both not as young any more, and sooner or later, we both need to do something else in our lives." Sonic explained.
"You're right, Sonic. We both need to mature, and live normal lives." Eggman agreed.
Suddenly, Eggman gasped in pain, and Sonic gasped in shock. Blood was flowing from Eggman's mouth, and he collapsed to the ground, and Sonic saw a knife in his back, and Eggman was bleeding a lot, and has fainted from the pain. Sonic wondered who that was, as it was dark.
"Who is there?!" Sonic panicked.
Sirens made their way towards them, and Sonic saw Police cars coming towards him. The police got out of their cars, and aimed their guns towards Sonic. There was also an ambulance for Eggman, which the paramedics got out their stretcher, and placed a patch on Eggman's wound, and then they placed him on the stretcher. After he was placed on the stretcher, the paramedics placed Eggman in the van, and the ambulance then rushed Eggman to the hospital.
"Hey, what is this about?!" Sonic thought.
"Sonic the Hedgehog, put your hands in the air, and drop to your knees! You're under arrest for attempt of murder!" the chief called.
"Wait, you seriously think I did this?!" Sonic asked in anger.
"Well, you're the only one here, boy! So who else could have done it? Now, hands in the air, and come quietly!" the chief demanded.
"I swear, Chief! I didn't do this! I don't know who it was, they came out of the darkness, I couldn't see them, and they stabbed him! I was last here seeing him, after I foiled his plans, but I would never try and murder him! You know me, Chief! You know I wouldn't do anything like this!" Sonic pleaded.
"I don't wanna hear another one of your excuses, Sonic! Now come quietly, and accept what you did wrong!" the chief was losing his patience.
"If I did, I would, but I'm not turning myself in for something I never did! Whether you want to believe me or not, tough shit!" Sonic snarled.
He then turned around, and ran away from the scene at high speed.
"Damn it! Men, find this son of a bitch, and have him behind bars, now!" the chief demanded.
"Yes, chief!" one of the police replied.
(End of Flashback)
Sonic still had his head against the wall, in confusion.
"I have no idea where to go. I can't go to Tails', because they know where he lives, and they'll search there first, I can't go to Vanilla's, because they know her too, and I certainly wouldn't go to Amy's, because one: she's obsessed with me, and she'll think I have moved in with her, and plan to propose to her, and also, the police know where she is too, so I am fucked either way. The only choice I have, is Knuckles' place. But I doubt he'll let me move in for a bit, as he is married with Tikal, and she's just gave birth to a baby girl, she wouldn't want all the stress. But what choice do I have?" Sonic wondered.
Suddenly, Sonic heard the front door of the abandoned warehouse getting knocked down, and in came the police with their guns, aiming towards Sonic. The chief followed them in, and pointed a shotgun towards him.
"You're only making this worse for yourself, Sonic! Come quietly, or we will have no other option, but to put you down!" the chief warned.
"Well, if going down is my only option, so be it! But you'll have to out run me first!" Sonic mentioned.
And again, Sonic dashed towards the window, and smashed the glass, and he dropped to the ground, and landed.
"SHOOT HIM! SHOOT HIM!" the chief yelled.
The men fired their guns towards Sonic, but Sonic was so fast, he dodged every single bullet. Once the men ran out of ammo, and attempted to refill, Sonic ran up the top of the nearest building, and ran away from the scene. He jumped from building to building.

(Sonic Singing)
Going down like a dead hog walking
Single step from a body in a coffin
Just one, one that has fallen
Waking up to this blood moon, howling
Can't drown this out, even with some medicine
Tears right through me like a bullet of adrenaline
.
Sonic stopped for a moment, and took a quick breath. He was panting for a few seconds, and then he turned to face the city. Looking around the horizon, he sees many helicopters, with many search lights, looking for him.

(Sonic singing)
Arms heavy, face down on my deathbed
Blame the gods as I choke on the violence
In the end, silence is deafening
.
One helicopter came from behind Sonic, and Sonic notices the light flashing from behind him. He then turns around, and sees a helicopter aiming towards him, as they caught him. They had their guns ready, and Sonic gasped in shock.
After that, he ran as fast as he could away from it. The copter fired away, trying to hit Sonic, but no matter how hard they tried, they could not hit Sonic, as he was too fast for them.

Sonic ran as far as he could, jumping from building to building, and he finally lost the copter, by running between a narrow gap, that the copter couldn't reach him from.
Sonic then ran to the top of the highest building in Station Square. After he made it to the top of the building, he looked around to see where Angel Island is from his location.

Stressed out, head trauma, takes a beating
Took more than this pill to numb the feeling
Bang, bang, no mercy for the healing
Oh, twenty gone without a fight, with no reason
Twenty more in the cop car, bleeding
All trying to win the war without a meaning

Sonic had a rough idea where he was. And after that, he jumps off the building, and ran towards the area he was running to. The cars and copters were still after Sonic, but Sonic didn't even look back, knowing he can outrun them.

Sonic made it towards the cliff he was looking for. And just above him, he can see Angel Island. The police however were still on his tail.

In the end, silence is deafening

"Damn, I always forget how to get up there! If I don't do this now, the police will get me!" Sonic thought, with panic.
He looked around for a long time. And then he remembered something. He saw a boulder next to him, and he exclaimed excitedly.
"Aha! There it is! I sure hope this still works." Sonic hoped.
He moved the boulder out of the way, and underneath it was a hidden spring. This was what Tails installed, so anybody can use to get onto Angel Island. Sonic then placed himself on the spring.

Sonic then jumped on the spring, and the spring bounced him very high into the air. The boulder moved itself back on top of the spring, to cover it. The police made their way there, and searched everywhere. But they couldn't find Sonic. Sonic had just landed on the Island.

"Damn it, we've lost him!" the chief complained.
"Don't worry, Chief. We will get him next time." one policeman stated.
The chief just agreed to it, and they all turned away, and left the area. Sonic sighed in relief.
"That was a close call. Now, I have to go and make my way to see Knuckles. I sure hope he's OK with me being here. This is really the only choice I have at the moment." Sonic hoped.
Sonic is a wanted hedgehog, and he is on the run from a crime he never committed. What will happen with the blue blur now?
