Chapter Five: He Will Always Be My Hero
On the other side of the island, we have two mysterious figures, that have just made it to Angel Island. One was a female pink hedgehog, with jade green eyes, red and white dress, red headband, white gloves, and red and white boots.
The other was a female princeton orange, cream, and white rabbit, white gloves, long ears, cinnamon brown eyes, orange dress, with a blue tie, and white collar, and yellow and orange shoes. The two females were Amy Rose, and Cream the Rabbit.
"I know Sonic would never do that, Cream. He just couldn't do something like that. All my years of knowing him, I have never known Sonic to murdering anybody. Not even Eggman." Amy explained.
"I believe you, Amy. Sonic has a heart of gold. And like you, for as long as I have known him, I never would have guessed he would do such a thing." Cream added.
"I've been worried about him all night. All night, I tried getting hold of Tails, to ask if he knew where Sonic was, or if he was alright." Amy said, sadly.
"I know, I was with Tails when you were doing that." Cream added.
"I didn't mean to intrude anything with you, or Tails. But you know me, with Sonic, I get so worried about him." Amy apologised.
"I know you didn't mean to, Amy. And I completely understand. If you ask me, if this was the way round, and it was Tails who was missing, I'd probably be harassing Sonic by now, to see if he knew where Tails was, or if he knows what has happened." Cream admitted.
"I just hope Sonic would even want to see me at all. I know I use to harass him when I was younger, but I couldn't help how I feel about him. I just love him." Amy stated.
"I'm sure he understands that, Amy. Maybe he has a reason why he acts the way he did. He was probably just a shy kid, and wasn't sure how to respond to any kind of girl, who was crazy about him." Cream thought.
"I sure hope you're right about that, Cream." Amy hoped.
"I guarantee it, Amy. I know for a fact. If a shy kid like Tails could confess himself to me, Sonic will one day do the same for you." Cream smiled with confidence.
Amy smiled back warmly. After that, they both continued to make their way to Angel Island.

Cream then flaps her ears, and flies up into the air. And she playfully lifts Amy up with her, and flies up towards the sky. Amy giggled surprisingly. As they were in the sky, Cream flew into the clouds, and they both explore the island, looking for the palace.

They spotted where Angel Island was, and then Cream flies back down to the ground with Amy. They landed right in the village of Angel Island, where they were surrounded by female echidnas, who were street performers for money.

Amy smiled, and she puts a few rings on their cloth on the ground.
"Thank you!" one of the female echidnas thanked, with a smile.
"You're welcome." Amy smiled.
Amy and Cream continued to walk towards the palace. They knew that Cream could have easily flew them towards it, but they enjoyed the adventure, and thought flying was too easy. So they decided to keep walking.

The desert holds this song I will sing, on and on

Amy had her eyes closed a few times, daydreaming about Sonic. She hoped that Sonic would be thankful to see her. Amy sighed, as her daydream has her imagining she sees Sonic standing on the grass, filled with flowers. Amy approaches Sonic, and Sonic turns to Amy with a smile on his face.

Amy awakes from her daydream, and sees that they are close to reaching the palace. Amy smiles warmly. Cream also smiles, as she looks at Amy. She knows how much Sonic means to her, and she supports it all the way through.

They are very close to the palace. They have about a minute of walking left until they reach their destination.

After a while of walking, they finally make it towards their destination. And they see Tikal in the garden, with Amber, sitting on a bench. Tikal looks up, and sees Amy and Cream. She has an excited smile on her face.
"Amy, Cream! It's so good to see you two!" Tikal exclaimed excitedly.
She stands up, and hugs the both of them. Amy and Cream return the hug.
"It's nice seeing you too, Tikal,. It has been a while." Cream greeted.
"The main reason we're here, Tikal, is because Tails texted me saying Sonic was here. I've been worried about him all night." Amy explained.
"Well, he's out for a run. He should be back fairly soon." Tikal mentioned.
As soon as she said that, they all heard the sound of something moving very fast. As they all turned in that direction, they all saw a blue streak making its way towards them. And just a few seconds later, it was Sonic who arrived.
"Sorry I was late, Tikal. I was just admiring the scenery while I was out for my ru..." Sonic cut himself off.
He was shocked when he saw Amy and Cream standing there. He was more shocked about the fact that Amy was even here. Amy looked at Sonic with tears in her eyes.
"Sonic?" Amy called.
"Amy?" Sonic responded.
Without question, Amy wraps her arms around Sonic, for a loving embrace. Sonic never even resisted this time, because this hug was different to the ones she use to do to him in the past. So without question, Sonic wrapped his arms around her head, to return the embrace.
"I was so worried about you, Sonic. When I saw the news, I thought you had disappeared for good. Escaped from the city, to never return. I contacted Tails all night, to hopefully get a response." Amy sobbed.
"I'm sorry I have worried you, Amy. I did leave the city, but only temporary. And was that how you knew I was here?" Sonic wondered.
"Yes. Tails let me know, as soon as he knew your whereabouts." Amy told him.
"Well, it's OK, Amy. I'm fine. I am here. It will be all over soon, I promise." Sonic told her.
They break the embrace, and Amy looks into Sonic's eyes.
"You promise?" Amy pleaded.
"I promise. I promised you before that I wouldn't forget about you, so I can keep that promise too." Sonic smiled.
Amy smiled back, and she wipes the tears from her eyes. Sonic then walks towards Cream, and hugs her, and playfully lifts her, and swings her around.
"Heya Cream! Been a while since I seen you!" Sonic stated, excitedly.
"It's been too, long! You need to stop by and visit more often, Sonic." Cream mentioned.
"I will do. Been pretty hectic recently, as you probably saw on the news. Tails mentioned that he is building a lie detector, and we have to look for four more elements. I bumped into Shadow earlier, he is actually on this island now. And he agreed to help with this. He's going to Sandopolis now, to collect the sand." Sonic explained.
"Shadow is collecting the sand? Well, that's great news! The more help the better!" Tails stated as he walked out of the palace.
"Well, I guess that's just three more things then to look for, once Shadow brings the sand, that is." Knuckles added, as he also came out of the palace.
"The best idea I have for now, we should split up into pairs, and look for the rest of the elements. Knuckles, you and Tikal live near the Lava Reef, so you two will go there, and collect the molten rocks." Sonic started.
"We will go and do that, yes." Knuckles agreed.
"You can count on us, Sonic." Tikal smiled.
"Radger, you look after Amber, while we're all doing this, you understand?" Sonic asked.
"Yes, Sonic. Anything to protect the princess." Radger agreed, as he took Amber from Tikal, and carried her into the palace.
"Also, Radger?" Sonic cut him off. Radger turns to face Sonic.
"Yes, Sonic?" Radger wondered.
"Whenever you see Shadow arrive here, let him in the palace. He'll have what we need." Sonic warned him.
"Yes, Sonic." Radger agreed. Then Radger made his way inside the palace, with Amber, and closed the doors.
"And that now leaves two more areas. Tails, do you mind going with Cream to Red Mountain, and collecting the dirt?" Sonic asked Tails.
"I don't mind, but, I'm not sure if Cream wants to get dirty." Tails wondered.
"I don't mind, Tails. What's a good job, if you don't get dirty?" Cream giggled. Tails couldn't help but chuckle.
"And lastly, that leaves you and me, Amy. We need to go to Mushroom Hill, and collect mushrooms for the lie detector." Sonic mentioned.
"Are you sure you want me going with you, Sonic? Are you sure you wouldn't prefer anyone else to go with you?" Amy thought.
"No, I don't mind at all. Why do you ask?" Sonic smiled.
"I don't know. I just thought you may want someone, who isn't obsessed with you." Amy sadly stated.
"Amy, if I didn't want you working with me, I wouldn't have said it. Besides, you said you were worried about me, and you kept pestering Tails, until you know I was safe, right? So you tagging along with me in this adventure, consider this as a way that you'll keep you're eyes on me at all times, knowing that I am safe and sound." Sonic replied with a warm smile. Amy smiled back.
"In that case, then I will. When do we leave?" Amy asked
Sonic suddenly picks Amy up in bridal style, which caught Amy by surprise, and lets out a squeal. Sonic chuckles.
"We leave right now. Everyone, you all go do your thing now too. Sooner the better, and Shadow has most likely found the sand by now. He'll know where to go." Sonic stated.
After that he hashes off with Amy in the speed of light, while Amy screams in surprise by Sonic's speed. Everyone else didn't waste any time, and then began their journeys, to their given locations.
