Nickdabeast03: I'm glad you liked it and I hope you enjoy this chapter too! :)
The Cole and the others were on a small land of ice Pixal had made for them with her powers, waiting to hear or see either Jay, his father, or the two dragonbloods with them. They had been waiting for who knows how long and Cole was starting to get worried. True, Jay and Cliff had powerful dragonbloods by their side but if everything they had heard about this Iron Baron was true Cole was scared of what could happen. He just wished the others all thought the same way.
Rocky and Adam were too busy curling up together, whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears.
Ronin and Morro were having an arm-wrestling match, which the Wind Dragonblood was winning, with a tiny sack of gold on the line. Dareth and Plundar were watching as spectators and referees. Shade was looking over the edge of their little ice island, staring intently as the sea reflecting his face. He hadn't had anything since breakfast and now it was coming back to bite him. He was looking for a fish to catch, just like he had to do five years ago back at the nest.
While he and many other dragonbloods had gotten used to the peaceful life and didn't need to hunt that much anymore, hundreds of years of hunting instincts don't just vanish.
At least Shade hoped they didn't. Harumi was attempting to gossip with Tox and Pixal, but it was clear by the confused and slightly annoyed looks on their faces that she was failing miserably. Zane seemed to be the only one as worried as Cole was about Kai, Jay, Ed, Karloff, and Cliff's apparent disappearance.
"I don't like it, they should've been back with Jay and Kai by now," Cole growled as he paced back on forth.
"You know how fast Kai can fly, so he and Jay could be on the other side of the world by now." Rocky tried to reassure his rider, hoping Cole would relax so they could go home. He and Adam had left the triplets with a last-minute babysitter and with how much trouble their kids could get in when their parents were there, the couple had every right to be worried.
"Yeah, you should give them a little longer." Ronin agreed as he rubbed his now sore wrist, losing the battle with Morro.
"It has been over four hours though." Zane pointed out as he watched the setting sunlight reflecting in the icy waters, but the others still didn't look convinced.
"What if Iron Baron shot them down? What if they need our help?" Pixal said out loud, worry clear on her face. That did cause the others to grow a little concerned, but they still made no move to get up and search. Cole wasn't about to sit here and wait, however. He shot a glare to Rocky and the Earth Dragonblood sighed heavily as he and his mate broke away and they both transformed.
"We have to find them." The noirette ordered as he mounted the Earth Dragonblood, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Wait, wait, what?" Dareth cried as everyone else begrudgingly mounted their dragonblood partners and prepared to take off. "But Cliff said-"
"It doesn't matter what he said if they've all been captured! Come on!" Cole snapped impatiently, scaring Dareth enough to make him all but jump on Tox's back. As soon as they were saddled up, the dragonbloods and their human allies all took off into the sky in search of their missing friends and leader. Cole could only hope they found them before it was too late...
Clutch Power's groaned and panted as his small ship floated slowly along the ice floes. He was pressing a small chunk of ice against his head to attempt to stave off the horrendous headache that had been plaguing him ever since the riders left them. He was getting sick and tired of these dragonblood riders messing with his business. If they had any idea what Iron Baron would do to him if he didn't deliver they might back off, but he knew that was a stupid idea.
Unfortunately, he had to push the riders to the back of his mind.
He had to focus on filling this boat with Dragonbloods. Maybe if they showed up with at least one Dragonblood Iron Baron would show them mercy. It would be easier to hunt Dragonbloods if all his men were here but Clutch had sent them out to hunt that Fire Dragonblood. Everyone thought that Fire Dragonbloods were extinct and when Clutch saw it, he felt like all his prayers had been answered. If they brought that creature to Iron Baron it could solve all their problems.
Even if his men didn't find it, however, Clutch could only hope that informing Iron Baron of the Fire Dragonblood would get him off their back for a little while.
"Do we go back?" One of the men suddenly asked.
"We've nowhere to go, nothing to sell, and we have no heads to call our own!" Clutch shouted in rage, causing some of the hunters to flinch. "If we don't turn up with dragonbloods and fast-" He started, only to get cut off when Rocky suddenly snatched him up off the boat.
"Careful what you wish for!" Cole laughed down at their captive.
"CLUTCH!" His men cried and tried firing vengestone nets at the Dragonbloods and their riders, but they all missed.
"What is this?!" Clutch cried as he tried to pull his arm out of Rocky's claws.
"A kidnapping," Harumi smirked and Morro growled in a way that sounded like a laugh.
"You're gonna show us the way to Iron Baron," Plundar told the lead hunter.
"And help a bunch of Dragonblood Riders sneaks into Iron Baron's camp?!" Clutch exclaimed before he went slack in Rocky's grip. "Why not just kill me now?" He grumbled under his breath, but Cole and Rocky still heard it.
"That can be easily arranged," Cole smirked and patted the Earth Dragonblood's neck. "Rocky, drop it." He instructed and that was all Rocky needed to hear before he suddenly dropped Clutch from his clutches. Clutch gasped and screamed as he started to fall towards the icy sea. "Good job, buddy! Now, fetch!" Cole laughed and Rocky started diving for their captive.
"ALL RIGHT! OKAY! I'LL TAKE YOU TO IRON BARON!" Clutch screamed at the top of his lungs as the ocean got closer and closer. Just before he hit the freezing waters, Rocky snatched him out of the air and flew up to re-join the others. Clutch gasped to regain his breath and tried to calm his racing heart, gripping the Earth Dragonblood's claws tightly, scared that the beast would drop him again. Cole just chuckled lightly at their small victory.
"Ha, works every time."...
