Chapter Seventeen: Epilogue
"Mr. President?" Sonic wondered.
"It is me, yes, Sonic. I came to have a word with you." the President replied.
"And what would you want to talk to me about?" Sonic thought.
"Well, it was for mistaken you. And I apologise for making such accusations, about you, and Eggman." the President mentioned.
"Plus, it was me, Richard Bradshaw, Chief of Station Square Police Department, who Eggman told at the hospital that you were innocent. So even if you and your friends didn't pull that stunt off on the screen with that lie detector, you would have been proven innocent anyway." Bradshaw explained.
"Speaking off Eggman, glad to see you're in good shape now, after what happened the other night." Sonic mentioned, as he turned his attention to Eggman.
"Please, the name Dr. Eggman means very little to me anymore. From now on, I am Dr. Robotnik. You were right that night, Sonic. This war between us has grown very weary on us, as we have gotten so much older. We really have to end this now. I could have easily told Richard that you did try to murder me, but even myself as that mad scientist wouldn't accuse you of such things. It's complete nonsense." Eggman mentioned.
"Well, I am glad that you feel that way, Robotnik. And that's awesome, I am glad you're feeling better after all that." Sonic smiled.
"Well, now that I have stopped my world domination, I think I will do something good for a change. Build robots to help the city out. Building hospitals, finding cure for diseases such as cancer, or leukaemia, or whatever fatal things we have." Eggman smiled back.
"What about the people of Station Square? Do they believe that I'm innocent, or do they still want me dead?" Sonic wondered.
"You don't need to worry about that. Shortly after you past the lie detector test, Eggman dropped by where I was, and he told the citizens everything. He stated you were innocent, you were in front of him when it happened, and the attacker came from behind." the President mentioned.
"You did?" Sonic asked, as he turned his attention to Eggman.
"I sure did. So do not worry about a thing." Eggman smiled.
"Well, thank you for being honest." Sonic thanked.
"Well, anyway, I have to go back to my duty at the station." Bradshaw mentioned.
"And I still need to run a city." the President added.
"And I have a new job to do." Eggman finished.
"I should see you around sometime." Sonic smiled.
"Any time, Sonic." Eggman smiled back.
And with that, Eggman took the President and Bradshaw on board his Egg Carrier, and he carried them back home. Sonic smiled warmly.
"He really is a changed man." Sonic stated.
"Well, now that you're proven innocent, I guess you'll be going home now, Sonic?" Knuckles mentioned.
"Uh, I think I will give this one more night. It has gotten late, as it's been a long battle." Sonic replied.
"You're welcome any time." Knuckles smiled.
Tikal made her way towards Knuckles, with Amber in her arms.
"And besides, Knuckles, it is time for Amber's bed. And I think she wants her Mommy and Daddy to tuck her in." Tikal mentioned.
"We better do that now then." Knuckles agreed.
"Knuckles fist bumped Sonic, then brotherly embraced him. Tikal also embraced Amy. After that, Knuckles made his way into the palace with Tikal, to get Amber settled for bed.
"I think I will also spend one more night here. Not only because of this battle, but I am still tired, as I have worked on that lie detector all night." Tails chuckled.
"I think I will join you." Cream winked.
"Pleasure is all mine." Tails teased back.
Cream hugs Amy, and Amy hugs back, and Sonic and Tails share a brotherly embrace. After they let go, Tails and Cream made their way into the palace, making their way to bed.
"Well, no way I am going back home yet. I was just starting to get use to being here on Angel Island." Rouge giggled.
"Well, what's stopping you from leaving? I mean, look what we have been through today." Shadow mentioned.
"Well, one more night can't hurt. Besides, I am wanting your body so bad!" Rouge teased.
"Ah, you wanna play that game again, do you? Well, I guess we should hit the sack tonight then, right here. And not just literally." Shadow chuckled.
Shadow approached Sonic, and shook his hand, as a sign of respect, which Sonic has huge respect for Shadow as well. And out of nowhere, Shadow brotherly embraced Sonic, which really took Sonic by surprise. But he gave in and returned it. Rouge also hugged Amy goodnight, and Amy returned it. After that, Shadow and Rouge made their way to bed, for their 'fun time', before going to sleep.
"And now, that makes two of us, Sonic." Amy smiled.
"Indeed it does." Sonic smiled back.
"Did you really mean what you said earlier? About true love making you feel stronger, and something you should of said years ago?" Amy wondered.
"Would I lie to you, Amy? What I said then, is no different to what I am saying now. It really has made me become the strongest hedgehog alive." Sonic mentioned.
Suddenly, Sonic started glowing a white aura, and then his quills pointed upwards, and his eyes turned crimson red. Then his blue fur slowly turned gold. Sonic was caught by surprise.
"Super Sonic?! But, how? The Emerald's powers have been used up, and scattered." Sonic wondered.
And then all of a sudden, Amy began to float upwards, and her quills also pointed upwards, and her eyes also turned crimson red. Then her pink fur turned into a pale, champagne gold colour. Amy smiled warmly.
"Power of the Emeralds is not all that is required to make this happen. So does true love. And the love we feel for one another, made this possible." Amy smiled.
Sonic smiled back, and he floats slowly towards Amy, and took hold of both her hands, lovingly.
"Well, I guess we should make good use out of this, before we go to sleep. Should we have a late night flight around the place?" Sonic asked.
"I would love that very much. But, please, take it easy. I'm new to this kind of power, and I am not sure how this works." Amy stated.
"You'll be fine, Amy. All super forms work the same, speed and strength. And besides, it's actually easier to control than you think." Sonic spoke confidentially.
Amy smiled warmly, and then she took hold of Sonic's left hand, with her right hand. They both looked up at the moon, and they both flew towards it, and they stopped as soon as they were above the clouds. Sonic had his arms around Amy's waist, and Amy had her arms around Sonic's head, and they stare into one another's eyes, full of love.

Sonic and Amy slowly floated downwards, below the clouds. As they both looked down, they noticed that they were both above Station Square. They both smiled warmly.

Sonic and Amy both floated downwards towards the city, and they were flying around the entire city, as magical stars fell from them, and they fell into the city. As the stars hits something broken, it magically repairs the damage.

Sonic lets go of Amy's hand, and Amy was getting use to flying by herself.
"There you go, Ames. You've gotten the hang of it pretty fast." Sonic smiled.
"This power is amazing. So much better, because it's with you." Amy smiled back.

Sonic and Amy flew slowly towards one another, and they held one another's hands lovingly. And they both placed their heads against one another.

As they both remained floating there, with their heads laying against one another, they floated around the city, circling around. The civilians have noticed that Sonic and Amy were in the air, and they were cheering for Sonic. Sonic noticed that, and happy tears fell from eyes.

Sonic and Amy held one another's hand again, Sonic's left with Amy's right, they both decided to fly away at high speed. They flew around the entire planet, and explored many places. Cities and wildlife, it didn't matter where they went, all that mattered to them, was being with one another. The magic stars that were falling repaired everything, even the damage on Angel Island.

They flew around the world for at least two minutes, and then they both made it to Angel Island. They were both floating above where the balcony to their room was, and they were slowly floating downwards. Amy's arms were around Sonic's head, and Sonic's arms were around Amy's waist.

Both Sonic and Amy still had their arms around one another, and they once again placed their foreheads against one another's. Both Sonic and Amy were also shedding sad tears in their eyes.
Sonic's case was because he was relieved that the people understood he was innocent, and that he finally got the woman of his dreams, and Amy's case was because she finally became one with the man she has loved for a very long time.

Sonic and Amy floated all the way down, and then they finally landed, and stood on their balcony. They were both still in their super forms, and Sonic and Amy looked into one another's eyes, filled with love once again.

After that, Sonic leaned his head towards Amy, and he softly placed his lips against Amy's for a loving passionate kiss. The white aura was glowing bright around them, and they never even noticed. Not that they really cared, as the kiss was what mattered to them.
After a while, the white aura slowly faded away, and Sonic and Amy's fur turned back into their blue, and pink colour. Their quills have also fell back downwards. After they break the kiss, they both opened their eyes, and Sonic's eyes were now emerald green, and Amy's were now jade green.
"I love you, Sonic the Hedgehog." Amy told him.
"And I love you, Amy Rose." Sonic replied, with a smile on his face.
Sonic and Amy both shed happy tears in their eyes once again. And then again, they both shared another passionate kiss, never wanting to stop. Once they did stop, however, they both then went to sleep, for one more night at Knuckles' palace.
Now that Sonic was proven innocent, and now that he has confessed his love for Amy, Sonic feels that his life is complete. Sonic is now for certain a wanted man, but this time, not just for a good reason from the civilians, but for Amy Rose as well. And they both would not have it any other way.
