Innocent Feelings
31
Swallow
The evening wind made a shiver course through her spine, making the hair on her bare skin stand. She probably should have worn something warmer than a mere tank top and denim shorts. Videl tightened her arms around her legs, hugging them closer to her chest. Her hair was still a little wet from the shower, but she didn't care. She'd rather freeze to death than go back to the house. She was doing just fine here, sitting on some boulder on the deserted beach and watching the ocean as the sun slowly descended upon it. Her eyes stayed glued to the blue immensity; giant waves crashed onto the shore, and Videl was almost shocked the earth didn't shake every time they did so.
The violent sea seemed most fitting for her current mood.
She picked up the sound of shuffling behind her. Soft steps approached, and Videl's shoulders tensed. She dug her chin deeper into her knees, a scowl hardening her features, and hugged her legs closer.
Without a word, Gohan settled down beside her on the same boulder. Videl made a point not to look at him, but as seconds ticked by, she was getting more and more restless as the silence persisted, and she was growing curious to see what kind of expression he had on his face, too.
Why wasn't he talking, anyway? Didn't he come to sit with her for a reason? Or did he just feel like invading her personal space and say nothing to explain his presence?
"Isn't it time you went home?" she asked, not bothering to hide her annoyance as she addressed him.
Her attempt to make him talk seemed completely fruitless. Her scowl hardened, and Videl finally sat up properly, turning her head to look at Gohan, deeply irritated that his continued silence had succeeded in making her face him.
He was watching the waves and didn't tear his gaze off the setting sun when she turned to him. His chin was resting on his right knee, his arm wrapped around the bent leg; his brow was furrowed and, looking at him more closely, Videl noticed that he wasn't really seeing the view before them. His eyes were unfocused, staring ahead aimlessly.
"What are you thinking so deeply about?" she asked, more gently than she had intended. She was still mad at him after all, and she couldn't let him forget it.
"You."
His lack of proper response was getting annoying. Videl clicked her tongue. "What about me?"
"I'm trying to figure out a way to settle our disagreement that would suit both of us."
Finally, an actual sentence. Geez, that wasn't so hard, was it?
"Any luck?" she inquired.
"Not really. Either you keep risking your life when you might freeze and actually die, and I somehow have to deal with it, or you agree to take a break from Krillin's training and go back to it when you're ready, even though to you it feels like giving up and you won't have that, which I do get."
"I'm not going to die, Gohan," she affirmed, her voice soft, reassuring. Her need to stay mad at him seemed to be fading away. How could she stay angry at Gohan when she could see how much he was struggling to come up with a solution that would work for both of them?
He shook his head, his eyes falling shut. "You don't know that. With the way you broke down this morning, you don't know that next time you're not going to panic, freeze, and let yourself be devoured by either the T-Rex or the shark."
"I do know, Gohan. I know me. I'm stronger than my fear."
He turned his head, resting his cheek against his knees, and, at last, met her gaze. Videl felt a painful pang in her chest when she looked back at him; his eyes were welling up.
"I can't lose you, Videl. I'd die of a broken heart if anything ever happened to you."
His voice was faint, trembling, and thick with emotion. Videl moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around his body. Gohan shifted his position to make it easier and held her tightly against him, burying his nose in her loose hair.
"I just love you so much, Videl. I can't lose you. I can't. Ever."
"You won't, Gohan."
But, as she said that, Videl knew that her words meant nothing, that she couldn't actually promise Gohan that nothing was going to happen to her, or that she wasn't going to get herself killed as she kept risking her life again and again.
So she wrapped her arms tighter around him and closed her eyes as hard as she could. "I love you too, Gohan."
He pulled back slightly, cupping her cheek, pressing his forehead against hers. Nothing else was said afterward; nothing more needed to be said. Videl felt his tenderness wash over her; her whole being was enveloped, immersed in his burning love. Her chest tingled, a pleasant glow wrapping around her heart.
Their lips found each other on their own. Videl wasn't sure who initiated the kiss, but that didn't matter right now. She cupped his face, tilting her head to the side, as things rapidly heated up. She didn't know how or when she ended up lying on her back on the boulder while Gohan pressed his body down against hers. His tense muscles felt incredible against her bare skin. Her breath hitched when she felt his fingers on her stomach, going under her tank top; the contact on her bare skin sent jolts of pleasure to her brain.
She wrapped her legs around his pelvis and pulled him as close as possible; Videl tore her lips away from his and emitted a long moan when his hardening groin rubbed her crotch.
Gohan quickly moved to her neck, showering it with open-mouthed kisses. Videl shivered as the wind brushed the wet trails he was leaving on her skin in his descend to her cleavage.
He cupped her breasts over her tank top, making the girl under him gasp slightly. She felt his breath on her chest. Her whole body was trembling in anticipation.
She couldn't make her brain work right now; it was overflowed with the pleasure Gohan was giving her, completely oversaturated with her burning desire for him to take her, to swallow her whole.
This was it. She loved him, and he loved her. Nothing else mattered anymore. The outside world didn't exist. Nothing existed outside of this moment. Nothing mattered but him. She loved him. She wanted him.
She slid her hand in his gi pants, biting her lip when she grabbed his growing erection. Gohan suddenly stilled himself, his lips still on the exposed part of her left breast. And then he let out a guttural groan when she started rubbing him, his teeth grazing her skin, his breathing short and erratic.
With her spare hand, she brought his face to her and kissed him deeply. Gohan responded sloppily, obviously too hazy from her caresses to focus on kissing. Videl then removed her hand from his pants, and they pulled back from the kiss.
Panting hard, they locked eyes.
Yes, this was it. It didn't matter that it was probably not the most perfect, the most magical moment that they had agreed to wait for. These things didn't mean anything at all, in the end. He loved her, and she loved him, and that was the only thing that mattered.
Videl sat up straighter on the boulder, pushing Gohan back to his feet to have more room to move, and then she took off her tank top, pulling it over her head. Next, she unhooked her bra, allowing the man she loved to enjoy the view. She then proceeded to untie his belt, while he simply watched her.
He leaned forward, his hands on either side of her, and Videl tore her gaze from her task at his midsection to look up at him.
His face was serious. He was asking her a very important question with his eyes. She smiled and kissed his lips softly. When she pulled back, Videl nodded her head.
He cracked a small smile. His large hand cupped her cheek, his thumb stroking her skin. No words needed to be said – she knew. She understood. He was telling her he loved her, she could read it in his eyes. And Videl knew Gohan could read her response in hers.
They kissed again. Gohan stepped out of his pants after they slid off his legs. Videl tugged at his boxers, and he helped her get them off. Then he broke the kiss to quickly take off his gi top and then dove right back to her mouth, claiming it with an urgency that made her whole being tingle.
His hands moved to her waist, at the hem of her denim shorts. His fingers fumbled with the button and the zipper, his impatience and nervousness palpable. And then he started lowering them, taking her panties along – and, finally, all of their items of clothing were off.
Videl encircled his waist with her legs, pulling him closer, and both moaned and groaned in pleasure as the first contact of their intimate parts was made. His hands moved to her chest, fondling her breasts, playing with her nipples, eliciting all sorts of noises out of the young woman.
He broke the kiss and lowered his head, wrapping his mouth around her nipple. Videl arched her back, leaning into her hands. She couldn't control her breathing, her voice, her body – she couldn't control anything anymore. She had wanted this for so long, she could barely comprehend that it was actually happening, at long last.
She just loved him so much. She wanted to swallow him whole – she wanted him all to herself, she wanted to possess him. She wanted this – so much. There was no going back now. This was actually happening this time – and Videl wouldn't have had it any other way.
Gohan was kissing her neck now. His hand was on her butt, lifting her up slightly, his fingers digging into her skin as he rubbed his erection between her thighs. His other hand stayed on her breast, squeezing every now and again, playing with her nipple, pinching the sensitive bud. Her head was a haze of the most delicious sensations. Videl ran her hands down his muscular chest, reveling in the way his rock-hard muscles twitched at the touch. God, his body felt so incredible. He was so perfect – body and soul. She wanted to possess both.
Her hands got to his hips, then moved to his toned ass. She loved touching him, she loved the way he would suck in a breath, tickling her neck, at every of her touch.
Then Gohan pulled back, staring into her soul through half-lidded eyes. He cupped her cheek, ran his hand through her long locks; he pressed his lips on hers, ever so gently, his tenderness making her melt completely in his embrace. He pushed her gently on her back, still kissing her, and then Videl's heart raced even more. His tip was touching her entrance.
This was it. There was no going back now.
Her breath hitched when he slowly pushed himself inside of her. A swarm of sensations crashed onto her, much like the violent waves on the shore tonight. The sun had set completely now, the sky was getting darker by the minute, and the stars were slowly but surely making their presence known.
His love was swallowing her. With every touch, every shift of his body; with every thrust, every kiss, every caress, every breath brushing her skin – Videl felt it all. It was overwhelming – in the most delightful way.
She felt whole. Complete. She was one with him. His soul had united with hers, and now they were a single entity.
It was the most beautiful moment of her life.
This was it. This was where she was meant to be. Right there, in Gohan's arms. His life was hers, just like her life was his. All his.
Her heart felt so full. Tears formed in the corners of her eyes; Gohan kissed them away. Pure joy filled her whole being.
She tightened her arms around his neck. Oh, she didn't want this moment to end…
ooOoo
Walking together, hand in hand, the young couple still hadn't uttered a word to each other since their passionate embrace. They had simply smiled at each other, stupidly happy, and then they had proceeded to get dressed before heading back to Kame House.
"Looks like you two made up," Krillin commented with a grin, waiting for them on the threshold.
"Yeah," Gohan said, nodding his head. "And I think it's about time I go home."
Videl pouted, and the look on her face made Krillin chuckle in amusement. She clearly didn't want him to go, even though they just spent the whole day together. He didn't know what Gohan told her, but it seemed to have worked. The atmosphere at dinner had been so thick you could have cut it with a knife. Videl would throw her boyfriend mean glances every now and then, while Gohan's deep frown had seemed permanently stuck on his face.
Now, it looked as though they couldn't get enough of each other.
"I'll come back tomorrow," Gohan added for her with a wink, making the girl blush slightly through her grin. He had seen through her so easily.
As he watched the exchange, Krillin gave a nervous laugh. Something felt… different. The air about them had somehow… changed. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something wasn't the same.
A trickle of sweat rolled down his temple as the answer dawned on him, but the man refused to acknowledge the possibility. Gohan may have grown up, but he was still Gohan. Awkward, shy, nervous. Yes, so he had a girlfriend now, but he was still Gohan – and he was still a kid. Krillin just couldn't see him as mature enough to actually… No, Gohan was way too young to take that step. He'd known the kid practically his whole life! This couldn't be happening already, it was too soon. No, no way. There was just no way Gohan and Videl… Nope. Just no way. Nope. Gohan was still innocent. Obviously – it was Gohan after all. Sweet, kind, pure, innocent Gohan.
Krillin couldn't help noticing the light skip on his steps as the boy got inside the house to say goodbye to everyone. It was impossible not to see how broad and carefree his smile beamed, or how his eyes sparkled in that special way whenever he and Videl exchanged a meaningful look, as though they shared a secret, just the two of them.
Oh, geez… Oh, man… They'd done it, hadn't they? Gohan had actually… with Videl…
They did it, they actually did it – it was so obvious. Krillin couldn't deny the truth anymore – it was staring him right to his face. Gohan wasn't so innocent anymore…
The man swallowed. And it happened on his watch, too…
Chichi is going to murder me…
To be honest, I did not plan for their first time to happen like this (I even drew a couple pics about the scene I had in mind that are on my deviantART). They were, actually, supposed to wait for the "perfect moment", which was meant to happen soon enough. Well, much like in real life, and even if this is my own writing, things rarely go as planned, do they? Neither Gohan nor Videl thought it would happen like that either, lol. Those damn lovestruck teenagers, they didn't let me do what I planned, tch. e_e
Well, at least they're not mad at each other anymore, I guess. v_v
It's funny how this ends up being kind of a transition chapter, even though something major in the plot, that I've been building up for literally YEARS, is happening. Heh.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the read, and sorry for the long note haha. Now it's feedback time if you'd be so kind. :)
