Garmadon smiled as he heard the rock music coming from his son's room and into the halls.

It had been four months since the battle with his son pitted against the Overlord, and now that construction on his monastery had finished, tucked deep in the woods, the first order of business was underway.

Move his family in.

Misako had been by his side since the beginning of the construction, helping with the room plans and interior design, but Lloyd had understandably been busy with so many people in Ninjago wanting to honor him with awards and statues in his honor.

Until now. His son had a good gap between now and his next appearance, so he had taken his extra stuff from where Wu was redesigning Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys and was now moving it into his monastery. Seemingly including his radio.

Garnadon smiled as he rapped his knuckles against the door frame, gaining his son's attention as he joked, "I believe that monasteries are places of peace, not teenage rebellion."

"Yeah, yeah," Lloyd shrugged him off, a grin on his face as he turned down the volume, "so, did you just come to lecture my music taste like a dad?"

Garmadon couldn't hide his smile growing wider as his son joked about him being his father. 'All I've ever wanted was to be around to be his dad, and I finally have my chance.'

"No, I just…" he walked forward before pulling his son into a brief hug, "I'm so glad to be here with you."

"I'm happy to be here too, dad." Lloyd smiled as his father let him go, "but I actually have a question for you. A favor to ask."

"Absolutely. What is it?"

"Can you...teach me how to play catch? The guys were kinda busy training me to teach me, and-"

Garmadon couldn't wipe the grin off his face, mentally telling himself to ask his wife to get some pictures for later. "Meet you in the courtyard in ten minutes."
