Seventeen years ago, a forbidden memory repressing jutsu was used to resurrect Rin in a deadly binding contract. At present day, under orders from her master and in exchange for her memories, she allies with the criminal organisation, Akatsuki to secretly spy on them for intel. But her duties come to a standstill when she falls for an enigmatic member of her team.

3. Intel

There is nothing too unusual about her teammates, except for the fact that Deidara has a grudge against Tobi.

More often than not, she cannot catch a moment's silence without an argument breaking out between the two. But it is more of a one-sided quarrel thrown offensively towards Tobi. The result is an oblivious response that adds an extra layer of rage to the already rancorous atmosphere.

Aside from the discerning fact regarding Tobi's existence within a high profile criminal organisation, she finds his childish behaviour disconcerting. Though Deidara does not explicitly state this fact, she can tell from his interactions that he is probably thinking on the same lines as she.

Meanwhile, Tobi's inclination to interact with her is nominal. Since their initial meeting, he has not spoken a single word to her. And despite Rin's efforts, he remains resistant to her presence.

The Akatsuki duo spends most days gathering information on the three-tailed beast. They take copious amounts of effort to collect intel because the Hidden Villages are not cooperative.

Deidara, it seems, has very little patience regarding this uncooperativeness. The slightest hint of wrongdoing sends him into a raging fit, often aggravated when Tobi's erratic-like behaviour has fuelled some sort of fury in him beforehand.

Information does not come easily, and the only important piece obtained was the assigning of the tailed beasts.

Deidara vaguely stated that each team member are assigned a tailed beast to capture, but their uses for the organisation remains unknown.

With every piece of information obtained so far, passing them to her master has been relatively easy.

Perhaps it is her ability to read people's emotions through their chakra, but Rin gets the sense that the duo is more oblivious to their environment than originally anticipated.
