Seventeen years ago, a forbidden memory repressing jutsu was used to resurrect Rin in a deadly binding contract. At present day, under orders from her master and in exchange for her memories, she allies with the criminal organisation, Akatsuki to secretly spy on them for intel. But her duties come to a standstill when she falls for an enigmatic member of her team.

9. Inopportune

"We just went that way!" Deidara shouts.

Another inopportune meeting, courtesy of the leader.

"We have intel that the three-tails is located in the South. It is your team's responsibility so you will do whatever it takes, even if you have to turn back in the opposite direction," the leader says dangerously.

"Senpai, don't be lazy," Tobi jeers.

"Shut up, Tobi!" Deidara says angrily, "Itachi and Kisame are closer to the three-tails than we are, get them to do it!"

"Hey, we've already done our fair share. Gees you guys really are an indolent lot," Kisame answers irritably.

There is a high-pitched laugh that sizzles from the opposite end.

"Must be the girl. Driving them crazy! Serves the two fuckers right," Hidan shrieks.

"Are you perhaps envious that they've got a girl on their team, Hidan? "Kakuzu interrupts.

Silence.

Then, the ear splitting tantrum rages on for some time, until Hidan's voice cracks beneath his screeches and his body is visibly shaken with fury.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Kakuzu says discordantly.

"I'm going to really, really fucking kill you after this."

"Hmph. High maintenance," the leader scoffs, then he turns to Deidara and Tobi, "Remain on task. You are all dismissed."
