chapter 9

Sadie was at the firehouse today it was September 17th the day before the wedding. "Oh where are my mom and dad? Where's Travis?" Sadie said.

"Boy talk about the prewedding jitters," James said.

Then Sadie's parents came in as did Travis.

Things were continuing to be worked on. "Oh man I am very nervous about my wedding tomorrow," Travis said.

"I bet you are and I know Sadie is plenty nervous about it to." her father said.

"Oh Mr. Lotter," Travis said.

"Please call me Lenny," Lenny said.

"Okay Lenny," Travis said.

"I know tomorrow is a big day for both you and Sadie, you are a great firefighter and you are a good example but I hope you know nothing will keep you two apart ever," Lenny said.

The next day everyone was ready for the wedding. Hannah was dressed in a pretty dress and was going to be the flower girl. Tony was Sadie's little cousin he was about a year older than Hannah and he was the ring bearer.

They were ready for the big day. Travis was ready to go in his tuxedo. He was trying to straighten his bow tie. "Here let me help," James said and got it straight for him.

"Thanks bro," Travis said.

"No problem," James said.

Sadie was getting ready too she was in her dress and getting make up and hair done. She looked very lovely and then they headed to the chapel.

Travis was standing at the altar and he was plenty nervous. He was fighting all the butterflies in his stomach. "What's wrong?" Heatwave asked.

"I got butterflies," Travis said.

"Where?" Blades asked.

"It's a human expression it means I am nervous," Travis said.

"Yes he is just nervous, just take a deep breathe and relax big brother," James said.

Then Hannah came down the aisle throwing flowers and Tony followed with the rings. Then Sadie came down with her father and then handed her over. They smiled at each other. The preacher was ready to start.

"Travis Maxston do you take Sadie Lotter as your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?" The preacher asked.

"I do," Travis said.

"Sadie Lotter do you take Travis Maxston as your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?" the preacher asked.

"I do," Sadie said.

"I pronounce you husband and wife," the preacher said. "You may now kiss the bride," he said.

Travis and Sadie kissed. "I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Maxston," the preacher said.

The reception was going very well and everyone was having a great time. Travis and Sadie danced together and then they cut into the cake and fed it to each other. Soon Sadie threw the bouquet and Travis threw the garter. Then the two of them went off on their honeymoon.

They whole family waved good bye.

Soon after a couple of weeks they came back to the firehouse and everyone was glad to see them and Sadie got settled in.

To be continued.
