10pm The night of

The kitchen didn't seem to be anything more than a kitchen but the knot in my stomach tightened all the same. Mitch and Rylan dropped into the room behind me and Becca.

"Dude! I could do go for a pizza right now." Mitch said walking toward the freezer.

"Mitch! How is food on your mind right now?!" Becca said with laughter in her voice.

"I'm always thinking about food. The only thing I think about more than food is... uh never mind." Mitch said turning red.

Rachel looked at Mitch sympathetically. He liked Becca, a lot. For the least 3 years or so Mitch was desperate to make Becca his girlfriend and so far his subtle, and she wasn't kidding when she said subtle, attempt's to see if she liked him too had garnered anything worth putting effort toward.

"Hey what are we going to do while we're here?" Rylan asked. "I mean are we going to hide in the kitchen the whole time?"

"It's probably safest." Rachel said quietly.

"Seriously? What exactly does that mean?" Rylan asked.

Rachel sighed and gave him a serious look. "Freddy's is dangerous."

Rachel hoisted herself up onto one of the tables and crossed her legs.

"When it opened it was so popular! Always slammed with kids and parents. If you were having a party it had better be at Fazbear Pizza. The best part, sans the arcade and the pizza, was the characters. Fred bear and Bonnie. Then one of the owners kids died because of a horrible prank his brother pulled. Chica and Foxy came pretty quickly after that. Most people thought it was because they were trying to draw attention from the tragedy. After a few years people seemed to forget that incident and then Freddy's became a wonder stop once again."

Rylan looked at her and smiled. "That doesn't sound dangerous."

"That isn't really the end of the story." Becca said joining Rachel on the table. "A few weeks after Freddys started hopping again a little boy went missing. They searched high and low for the kid but he wasn't at Freddy's anymore. The police just kind of assumed he had wandered out and was kidnapped. Which would be reasonable if it hadn't happened 5 more times. 6 kids go missing while playing at Freddy's and people start to talk. Then they announced the opening of the new location. Talk died down and now Freddy's just exists and people come and go but it isn't the popular place it was."

"So some kids disappeared and everyone punishes this fine dining establishment?" Rylan asked laughter in his voice.

"It isn't funny. It's serious." Rach said hopping off the table.

"Well I mean these Characters can't be that scary. Fred Bear and Bonnie? I'm shaking."

"Wanna see them for yourself?" Rach asked, her anger rising.

"Sure." He said.

They filed out of the kitchen single file and out into the party\dining room. The lights were off save the flickers from the few arcade games facing the room. Across the room was the stage and in all their glory stood Fred Bear and friends. Rachel gave an involuntary shudder.

"Omg!" Becca exclaimed.

"What?!" Rach, panicked and breathless, asked turning around.

"I haven't played Galatica in ages!"

Rach breathed out a sigh of relief and walked over to Becca. Mitch and Rylan had started up a 2 player shooting game. Looking around Rach realized it was odd that all the games were up and running. Didn't places usually power down the arcade? Fred bear and friends seemed to be switched off. She looked behind the machines for a second then decided to let it go and walked toward Mrs Pac-Man.

12am the night of

"Hey didn't you say there were 4 of them?" Rylan asked.

"Hmm?"

Rach looked up from dig doug and glanced at the stage. It might have been her imagination but She could swear Bonnie was looking right at her. Rylan was standing up on the stage looking at Chica. Rach swallowed hard then walked over.

"Yeah. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. He lives in pirates cove though which is next door. It's the special show for birthdays but mostly is the little kid area. You know like safe space for little kids."

"Can you show me Foxy?" Rylan asked leaning toward her.

"Uh... yeah sure."

She took his hand and they started off toward Pirates Cove.
