I wanted to do a brief intro into this story before actually getting into it. This is a BixLu story but its an already established BixLu. I haven't quite decided where I want the story to end but I wanted to have the relationship between Bickslow and Lucy already established at the beginning so I could focus on Bickslow reuniting with his family and Lucy establishing a relationship with them of her own.

Chapter 1: For the First Time in Forever

Lucy was on a mission. Literally. She was out with the Raijinshuu and Mira undercover - sorta - at the palace during one of their events.

Supposedly there was a dark guild that was going to target the event and some of the guests. Crime Sorciere - or what was left of it since most had joined official guilds after being pardoned - had come back from their last job and told Fairy Tail what they had heard. Lucy talked to Hisui and they decided it would be best to continue with the event and to have some Fairies there undercover. After some debating Laxus - being the new master of Fairy Tail - decided it would be best for his team, Mira and Lucy to go. Lucy and Freed both because they were from Fioren aristocracy, Bickslow would be able to manage having been raised the son of a Boscan ambassador (even if it was for only a short time), and himself as he was the guildmaster of Fairy Tail. Of course they would need dates so Evergreen and Mira would round out the team. It made the most sense this way. Lucy and Bickslow were soulmates though they hadn't gotten married yet because they wanted his family to be there if it ever happened, him and Mira were mates, and Evergreen was part of their team and like Freed's sister so it wouldn't be awkward for the gay man. The only problem was that they had just found out that Lucy was pregnant. Laxus didn't want his kin going and risking her and her hatchling getting hurt but Hisui had asked her to be there. Laxus was still going to make her stay but Lucy pulled out her dragon queen title and forced him to relent.

Anyway everything had been going great. There hadn't been a peep until suddenly there was an explosion. Anticipating the dark mages meant Fairy Tail jumped straight into action. Bickslow and Evergreen took to the sky while Freed wrote protective runes around the guests making sure none could leave or be harmed. Laxus and Mira jumped straight into the fight and Lucy ran toward the table that had been closest to the explosion. Her formal wear for the night was long gone as she ran in cutoffs and a bikini. As soon as she reached the table she did a cartwheel landing on top to get a better view of the fight. Later she would curse herself for not paying attention to just who was at the table she currently stood on but at the moment she was just focused on keeping them safe.

"LUCY PRADESH! YOU BETTER NOT BE JUMPING INTO THIS FIGHT!"

"LAXUS DREYER! YOU BETTER NOT BE TRYING TO SIDELINE ME!"

"DON'T MAKE ME PULL GUILDMASTER TITLE ON YOU BLONDIE. I MEAN IT! YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING IN THE THICK OF IT. YOU'RE PREGNANT FOR FUCK'S SAKE."

"AAAHHH! THE BABIES. BLONDE HAIR RED EYES, BLUE HAIR BROWN EYES!"

"MIRA!"

"Laxus control your mate! Also BEING PREGNANT DOESN'T MAKE ME AN INVALID. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING TO PULL GUILDMASTER ON ME WE BOTH KNOW MY TITLE IS HIGHER THAN YOURS. I CAN STILL FIGHT SPARKPLUG. But if it makes you feel better I'll just be support this time."

Lucy's eyes were laser focused as she equipped her Sagittarius stardress and shot arrow after arrow, each one taking down its mark. At least until someone got too close to fight with her bow. As she lowered her weapon she eyed the mage that approached watching as flames began to lick up his arms. Arching an eyebrow she released her stardress.

"Really? You're the one to come after me?"

"You better watch your mouth Girlie. I'm the strongest mage in my guild and I'm going to take you down you little blonde bitch."

Lucy stared at him with a blank face, trying hard to keep her expression from cracking but failing miserably in the end. As she doubled over in laughter she managed to choke out a few words.

"Do… do you even know who I am?"

It took almost a full minute for Lucy's laughing to quiet but once she did she was all serious and battle ready.

"I'm Lucy fucking Pradesh you ash for brains moron and I'm partners with The SALAMANDER Natsu Dragneel. Your fire is nothing compared to his."

This just made the mage angry and he rushed forward trying to land a hit on the blonde. Donning her Aquarius stardress she put out his flames, before washing him away. Unfortunately she was so focused on the man in front of her she hadn't seen the arrows about to rain down on her until it was too late. With a mumbled "oh shit" she quickly summoned Scutum, wrapping her arms around her stomach in an attempt to protect her baby.

The arrows however, never reached her and when she looked up she saw what looked to be a shield made of shadows. Looking at the people around her she noticed one with black and red hair that had his hand raised. The shield lowered and Lucy gave him her award winning smile.

"Thanks for the assist!"

That was all she managed to say though before there was a thump on the table, Bickslow landing in front of her blocking her view of the man and his companions.

"Hey Mama. Are you hurt? How's the baby? Do I need to get us to Wendy? Do you need medical treatment now? I can try to summon Gemini for you so they can turn into Wendy…"

"Bixy. Babe. I'm okay. We're okay. I had Scutum out. The arrows didn't even make it that far though. Shadow man behind you threw up a barrier. The arrows didn't even come close to landing."

Bickslow sighed and pulled her into a hug.

"Don't scare me like that woman."

Lucy giggled and shrugged.

"Sorry."

Bix just sighed and slowly turned around.

"Hey man, thanks for saving…"

The words died on his tongue as he took in just who it was that had protected his beautiful little soulmate.

"...Van?"

He looked behind him and noticed the rest of his family there too. He just stood there shocked.

"Bixy do you know him?"

Without turning around Bickslow nodded his head.

"Yeah Cosplayer. He's my brother. Actually all of them are my family."

Before anyone else could say anything. They heard Laxus shout and Lucy remembered their mission.

"Well it's very nice to meet you. After you are done with whatever you are doing at the Palace you should come by Fairy Tail. We'd love to have you."

Lucy turned toward where she heard Laxus shouting.

"As much as I'd love for you to be able to stay Bix, we have a job to finish. Let's fly Babies!"

With that Lucy stepped onto Popo and Pupu and clutched little Pipi to her chest to help with her balance. Leaving Papa and Pepe for Bickslow. Bickslow only stared at his family for another second before leaving as well, not sure how he felt seeing them after so long of not hearing anything from them. They still hadn't even said anything to him either.
