Hi everyone! Thanks a lot for the reviews, they make my day every time I receive one! So thank you, thank you, thank you!
So, questions start to arrive ;) The fat cats meow, you got it right, RedCoatsHater is indeed Garrett. And traceybuie, you got it right too, Benjamin from the Egyptian coven hides behind DesertJackal. Now, TexanNomad... is Jasper's old friend Peter ;)
Hope you'll still like this fic! This chapter is a serious one too, but next time will be much lighter, I promise! ;)
Enjoy, and please review!

Hi vampires! RedCoatsHater mentioned a vampire's singer last week, and someone asked me to explain the term. A singer is a human whose blood is particularly appealing for a vampire. Aro told me fifteen years ago that a singer's blood 'sings' for the vampire attracted to it. And it's an almost irresistible pull.
I say almost, because I personally know of two vampires who met their singers. The first one met two, and he couldn't resist the lure either time. In a fraction of a second the human had been dead and drained. The second is myself, and my singer is – or rather used to be – my mate Bella. The first time I met her, in a classroom full of students, I spent an excruciating hour resisting her blood calling me. I was mad with thirst. It took everything I had and every belief I held not to kill her right away, and afterwards to let her walk away from me. I ran away that day. But I had fallen in love, and I didn't know it yet.
I dated my mate for six months, while she was human, before coming back to her after I left her. Her blood was still a strong temptation, one I had to fight with all I had, but I did. It is possible. So resisting ordinary human blood after that? Piece of cake.
I don't like talking – writing – about myself, but I wanted to share this with you to prove you that we vampires are stronger than we usually think, and we can resist our baser instincts. It is possible, I'm living proof of that. Ask my family if you don't really believe me. Ask my Bella, who was terrified of me the first time we met.
And now you'll know about singers. If you're trying to pass as human, knowing about them beforehand can do all the difference when trying to blend in. If you meet your singer, my advice is: hold your breath and run away. Far away, then hunt large carnivores immediately after.
Hope you'll find this useful.

From EdwardsMate87, 4.43 am: EdwardCullen, I wasn't terrified of you! I was wondering why you hated me. I never saw your murderous urges, thank heavens! I believed you were human, so the thought of you tempted to kill me never crossed my mind. See, vampires can blend in among humans! And most of the time humans don't have a clue.
From EdwardCullen, 4.44 am: Except you, my Bella, who saw through me right away.
From EdwardsMate87, 4.45 am: I was meant to be a vampire, that's all.
From RedCoatsHater, 4.49 am: My God, Edward! I didn't know your story! It gives me shudders imagining it. It must've been terribly hard for you resisting Bella's blood!
From EdwardCullen, 4.52 am: If you've already met a singer, RedCoatsHater, you can imagine how hard. If not, imagine the hundred best-smelling humans you've ever met mixed in one single person.
From RedCoatsHater, 4.53 am: Wow! I'm incredibly thirsty now, thanks! :( I'm amazed that Bella survived the day, even more that she survived another year before you changed her!
From EdwardCullen, 4.54 am: I love her, RedCoatsHater. It's as simple as that.
From GoldenDoc, 4.57 am: Don't start self-deprecating yourself, Edward! You're the only vampire I know who showed such self-restraint. It takes a lot of self-control to do what you did.
From EdwardCullen, 4.59 am: Maybe so, GoldenDoc, but I only followed your tracks. And I love Bella. Killing her was impossible for me.
From GrizzlyBear1915, 5.04 am: I didn't have any feelings towards the two singers I met. They were perfect strangers, and I was already mated. So I killed them. I regret it, of course, but I really couldn't help myself. The urge was overwhelming, short-circuiting my brain. Of course, I didn't know anything about singers at the time.
From GoldenDoc, 5.06 am: Knowledge is power, GrizzlyBear1915. Now you know, so you will be able to resist and run away.
From GrizzlyBear1915, 5.07 am: I'd rather not meet another singer in my whole lifetime, thanks! I only want bears, and I will never resist them!
From AlaskanWildfire, 5.18 am: I've met a singer once, but he really sang to me. His blood had nothing special, as far as I know. He was nice...
From EdwardsMate87, 5.20 am: AlaskanWildfire, we don't want to know about your succubus activities on this blog!
From SparkyMate, 5.22 am: I've just wrestled the laptop from AlaskanWildfire. You're safe for a few hours. I think we'll go hunt wolves now.
From RedCoatsHater, 5.23 am: Yeah, baby! Let's go!
From EdwardsMate87, 5.24 am: Lucky you... We had mountain goats, again... (sigh)
From GrizzlyBear1915, 5.26 am: Bears, wolves, lions, tigers... I'm hungry because of you, SparkyMate! Shame on you!
