My Little Pony: Origins.
Chapter Fifteen.
Family Bonds Part I.
February 16th 2015, Ponyville, Equestria. 22:00 pm.
"Thank you for letting us stay here the night Twilight." Cadence said as she walked into the bedroom with her mane wrapped in a towel.
"It's no problem Cadence!" Twilight replied as she levitated a towel onto the bed from a neighbouring cupboard, "I always have room for my best sister-in-law." She added as Cadence sat down on the rather springy mattress before laying flat on her back.
"I'm your only sister-in-law Twilight." The light pink alicorn chirped in reply, stretching her wings with audible clicks, "Oh shoot! Twilight, would you mind getting my saddle back please, I forgot to get something out of it." She added, Twilight quickly nodded and left the room. The door shut. Cadence sighed and stood back up, exchanging her wet towel for a fresh, dry one. She began vigorously drying her mane while humming to herself.
"What. A. Day." The empress finished drying herself off and threw the towel aside. She slid off of her bed and then bent over, grabbing her hind leg and pulling it up behind her head. Her hip joint clicked. She proceeded to do the same with the other leg, groaning as her joints clicked again.
"I need to do my yoga exercises more, I'm getting stiff from just sitting all day." Gently rubbing her legs just as Twilight returned with her saddle bag.
"What's this about yoga?" The younger alicorn placed the requested item on the bed before sitting on the bed herself.
"Oh, just saying that I need to do them more." Cadences horn light up as she brought the bag over, opening it and pulling out a necklace with a heart shaped pendant attached. Placing it around her neck, she brought the pendant up to her face and gently kissed it. "Thank you for bringing my saddle bag Twilight." The alicorn smiled as the pendant swayed from side to side with a slight rotation.
"What is that for?" Twilight pointed at the necklace. "Is it a good luck charm?"
Cadence let out a sigh. "No Twilight, it's not a good luck charm." Cadence looked down at the heart shaped pendant.
"Then what is it?" Questioned Twilight, looking at Cadence with a hint of concern.
Ok Cadence, She thought, no more lying. She placed her hoof on the pendant and let out another sigh, "Ok Twilight, I'll tell you. But please, don't question anything until after I finished, got it?" Cadence looked at her fellow Alicorn who nodded in reply.
"Before I became your foal sitter, I gave birth to a daughter, a Pegasus, I named her Shooting Star. She..." Cadence paused, sighing again, "She was a stillborn Twilight. This necklace has a locket with the only picture of my baby girl." Cadence levitated the locket over to Twilight, opening it in the process, revealing a picture of a barely 16 year old Cadence looking visibly tired with a tiny baby that looked exactly like her in her arms, "The only other ponies to know about her other then you, is Shining, who got me this necklace, so I could take her everywhere with me so she was never forgotten," She paused again, "and Celestia, who was with me when I went into labour. This was why every January 30th I wasn't available to foal sit you, I would be at her grave reading her a story and tell her how much I miss her. Something I do even to this day." Cadence began to tremble as she fought back the tears that started to form at the corners of her eyes, "Shooting Star is the sole reason why I was so protective of Flurry Heart, because I-." She blew her nose, now crying, "Because didn't want to lose her like I lost Shooting Star." Twilight moved closer, embracing Cadence in a tight hug. "You know, she'd be 24 now." Cadence looked through her watery eyes, blowing into a tissue. The two pulled away from each other, "Thank you for listening Twilight, now you know why I carry this necklace with me everywhere."
"Don't mind if I take another look at the photo do you?" Twilight politely asked, Cadence nodded. She opened the locket and placed it in Twilight's hoof for the purple mare to inspect., "She looks so much like you, like you and her were clone... No offence." Cadence gently chuckled at that fact.
"No offence taken. But yeah, it's uncanny how much she looked like me, it's like as you said, it's like she was a clone of me." Cadence replied as Twilight passed the necklace back to her. "I miss her a lot, I wish I had listen to Celestia when she suggested we go to the hospital." Cadences ears drooped down.
"Why didn't you go the hospital, if I may ask?" Twilight looked at her with even more concert, "Where you scared that they would look down at you because you were so young?" She added, placing her hoof on Cadences, giving the pink alicorn as signal of 'Its OK, you can tell me.'
"No, it wasn't just that, it was because I'd had of tell them the father's species." Cadence looked out the corner of her eyes, checking to see if the bedroom door was still closed, luckily it was, "Twilight, do you remember when I told you I grew up in Port Hope?" She asked the fellow pony.
"Yes, that's in the human world isn't it?" Cadence nodded in reply, "Oh! The was human, I get it. But why were you scared?" Cadence bit the inside of her cheek and let out a deep sigh.
"No, I was scared because Shooting Stars father was David." Twilight chuckled darkly.
"I'm sorry, I must has something in my ears, because it sounded like your brother was the father." Cadence blankly stared at her, "Please tell you're joking." Cadence continued to blankly stare at her, "Oh sweet Celestia!" Twilight screamed.
"See, this was why I refused to go to the hospital." Cadence started pacing back and forth, "This speciesism ponies have against humans. It honestly sickens me, it sometimes makes me wish I stayed in Port Hope." Twilight placed a wing on Cadences shoulder.
"Listen to me Cadence, I'm not being speciesist. If I was, would I be dating a dragon?" Twilight looked into her eyes, Cadence was about to respond, "it's a rhetorical question." She added, Cadence let out an audible 'Oh'. "I'm just asking, why your brother thought? Why not one of the other humans? Surely they would of had sex with you?" Cadence looked directly at Twilight before pacing back and forth again.
"It wasn't as simple as that Twilight." Cadence paused and looked at Twilight. "See, in their world, ponies and horses aren't sentient, all they do is stand around in fields all day and eat hay. The humans also have laws against sexual activity with animals, now despite me being sentient and given UK citizenship, I still looked like an animal, so while it wouldn't of been illegal for a human to have sex with me, they still saw it as morally wrong. At the end of the day, I still looked like an animal." She continued to rant as she paced around the room.
"Ok, I understand, but why your brother? I admit he does have a charm about him but again, why him." Twilight questioned as her eyes continued to track Cadence as she paced around.
"Because Twilight..." Cadence paused, "Because I was in heat." It was now Twilight's turn to let out an audible 'Oh'. "See, a few months before I became an alicorn, before Celestia found me, I went into my first heat cycle and I didn't know what to do. I told David what I was feeling, sudden hot flushes and random spikes of horniness. So we went to the library and found a book about horses and looked up what I feeling and we discovered I was in heat and the only way this was going to stop was the wait it out for four more days or have sex." Cadence sat back down on the bed, "We got back home, now both our parents and our sister were away at Nord Bridge for a shopping trip, it took about 5 hours to get there and back by car and we got home just as they were leaving, they asked if we'd like to join them but I told them I was studying for an exam and David was helping me, so they told us to be good and and they'll be back soon. Now keep in mind I was 15 and David was 19, so I was in the company of an adult anyway. Anyway once they left, I told David I wanted him to fuck me... I asked him again and again, for 2 hours straight before he finally said yes. We then did it right there in my room, we did it for 45 minutes." Cadence bit her lip as she remembered the pleasure she felt that day as it flooded back into her mind.
"Wait, 45 minutes?! Sweet Celestia, I didn't know humans had that much stamina." Twilight said, trying not to bit her lip in sudden arousal.
"Human males can last on average between 10-15 minutes before ejaculation." Cadence deadpanned.
"But still, 45 minutes. That's impressive" Twilight replied, now biting her lip slightly.
"Anyway, nearly a month later I started to feel sick and queasy and I thought 'Oh shit, I'm pregnant!'. I told David immediately and he ran down to the pharmacy and grabbed a pregnancy test, now thankfully it was just us two alone in the house at the time and the test was thankfully negative. It turned out me being sick was the result of a stomach bug and I went into heat again a few days later and again, we did it in my room, assuming he couldn't get me pregnant. As this continued, we started to do it every time we were home alone, even when I wasn't in heat, I don't know why but I enjoyed it, we both did. We got to the point of planning to run away together and getting married so we wouldn't need to fuck in secret anymore, but that all change when I became an alicorn. Anyway, I guess I fell pregnant at some point between our second time and when I became an alicorn." Cadence looked down in sadness and shame.
"Ok Cadence I understand your reasons but why didn't you tell him about Shooting Star?" Twilight asked, placing a hoof on Cadences leg.
"I guess it was because I was afraid that he might think it was his duty to pay for the medical bills, and it would of broken his heart to tell him that I lost her. I didn't even know I was pregnant until I went into labour." Cadence sobbed into her wings.
"Cadence, you have to tell David about Shooting Star." Twilight said, bringing Cadence closer.
"I can't tell him."
"Why not?"
"I'm scared that he'll close himself out to me, I'm his sister for fuck sack, imagine me saying 'Oh David, remember when we fucked, well you got me pregnant and I lost our baby.' I think it wouldn't go down well with him." Cadence stood up and looked in the mirror opposite the bed. "I'm scared he'll run off again for another 16 years. I wouldn't be able to handle that, not again." She closed her eyes, remembering the pain she felt in her heart when her sister told her that they found David's car burnt out while wrapped around a tree.
"Cadence, you don't know that, for all what it's worth, he may not run away again, but instead want to remain here with you." Twilight's words did little to calm the empress as she began to tremble in fear.
"You don't know what it was like, I lost my dad and David in the space of a year, I closed myself out from everyone, even Shining. I mourned them for 17 years. When I saw David being dragged into my throne room, that last glimmer of light in my heart started to get brighter, that just glimmer would of burnt out had he not of been dragged before me. That's a feeling I don't want to leave me Twilight." Tears began streaming from Cadences eyes, she felt the urge to repeatedly punch the mirror.
"Ok Cadence, listen to me, you should tell David everything, then, take it from there, got it?" Twilight said as she grabbed Cadences face.
"Ok... I'll tell him tomorrow, maybe the sleep will help me clear my mind." Cadence replied, pulling away.
"Good. Now, you better get some sleep, its been a long day for all of us." Twilight went to open the door. "Twilight! Wait." She heard Cadence shout. "Yes Cadence?"
"How do I tell him?" Cadence croaked as she pulled the sheets off the bed.
"Don't worry you'll think of something Cae-Cae. Good night." Twilight opened the door.
"Thank you for understanding." Cadenced replied.
"No problem." Twilight walked out the door, shutting it behind her.
"Night..." Cadence said, turning the light off with her magic.
