My Little Pony: Origins.
Chapter Nineteen.
A Fractured Bond Part II.
Cadence placed the brush back down on the mattress as she tied a bow into Flurry's tail.
"And we are done." Cadence cheerfully said as Flurry climbed off the bed, "You ready to listen to the rest of the story?" Cadence asked, Flurry Heart nodded rapidly.
"I will admit, it is interesting to know my mom had a life before i was born!" Flurry said, perhaps a bit too loud as Cadence held her hooves to her ears in pain, "Sorry." Flurry said, covering her mouth.
"It's alright." Cadence smiled, wrapping a wing around her daughter, bringing her closer, "Now, where was i?" Cadence asked herself.
"Something about a Christmas prom." Flurry said, resting her head on Cadence's chest
"Yes. That's it." Cadence replied, "Well, the story really starts a few days before the prom." She began.
David awoke fairly early one morning, he groaned as he sat up in his bed. He slowly got off the bed and walked over to his window, opening the curtain. He wiped at the fogged up glass, seeing it had snowed during the night. David turned and looked at the clock on the bedside cabinet.
"5:30? Is that all?" He said to himself quietly as he walked over to the calendar hanging next to his wardrobe, marking off today's date, "December 11th. Mum's birthday." He sighed, he had very few memories of his real mother, she having died not long after he and Jess were born. David put on his slippers and quietly left his room, making his way down the stairs, boiling himself some water as he made a cup of tea. He sat down in the arm chair, looking out the window, only to see the streetlights of the town below and the distance lights of a ship at sea
"The roads are clear thankfully." He quietly spoke, take a sip of the hot drink, it warmed his insides.
Some time later, David had returned to his room and got dressed. He made his way back down stairs and towards the front door, he opened it, getting a blast of arctic like air. He slowly made his way over to his car, wiping snow off of the windscreen, he unlocked the car, quickly got in. The engined started with a roar, he turned on the heater and the radio.
"Next stop, Upperby." He said, backing out onto the road.
"Cadence! Time for school!" Rose shouted up the stairs, the young pegasus let out a yawn as she threw off the covers, shivering slightly as she trotted to the bathroom for her morning shower, she placed her towel on the toilet lid and striped down into nothing, she smiled when she saw her wet crotch, remembering how the night before, she and David had a quickie on the armchair when everyone else was asleep. Cadence let out a moan as the warm water splashed down her thighs, she was still feeling rather horny from the night before. She returned from the shower a few minutes later but instead of heading to her room, she trotted into David's room.
"Oh David~" She sang, flicking on the bedroom light, "I need some person assist...ance..." She said, stopping when she saw his bed empty, "Oh come on!" She moaned, leaving his room and angrily trotting to her own. Cadence came down stairs sometime later and some cereal, she sat down in at the table and ate, still annoyed that David wasn't in to give her some 'assistance'. She watched Rose hoovering the carpet, she sighed deeply as she finished her breakfast, walking back to the kitchen and washing up her bowl. Cadence grabbed her hoodie and school bag and left the house, the snow crunching under hooves as she walked along the road.
"God damn its cold!" She said as the school gates came into view, "Where was David this morning?" She said under her breath as she was swallowed amongst the crowd of students. As she headed for the Year 11 section of the building, she passed some girls talking.
"Did you see Cadence?" One of the girls said
"Yeah, what a joke, no date for the prom. She might as well not show up."
"Yeah, she's just pathetic." The girl's friend nudged her as she spotted Cadence behind them, her ears drooped in sadness as the two girls stared coldly as her as she passed by. Cadence sat down in the Year 11 Recreation, placing her face into her hooves, she shook her head as other students slowly filtered into the room, all sitting in their own little groups.
"The sooner this day's over, the sooner i can go home." She said as the bell rang and everyone went to first classes.
It was approaching lunchtime, and Cadence was bored out of her mind in History, just doodling in the book as the PA System beeped to life.
"Attention all students. Due to a snow storm due to hit at 1:30 this afternoon, we will be closing the school at lunchtime. All students will be allowed to have lunch here before going home should they choose too." The headmaster said, the speaker fell silent. The entire class cheered as the bell rang, all rushing out the room, Cadence slowly followed behind, her bag slumped over her back as she trotted to the canteen. Most of the students had already left the school by the time Cadence entered the canteen, meaning she didn't need to wait in a queue.
"Hello Cadence." Said the school cook as he appeared from the walk in freezer.
"Hey Louis..." Cadence sighed, leaning on the serving tray rail.
"What's gotcha down my little pony?" He said, leaning on the counter.
"Its David..." She sighed, resting her head on her hoof.
"Why, whats my friend been saying?" Louis said, leaning closer, "Do i need to crack a skull?" He said darkly.
Cadence's eyes widened, she held her hooves out, "What? No!" She said defensively, "Nothing like that!." She added, Louis just chuckled.
"But seriously, what's happening?" Louis asked.
"Well..." Cadence sighed, "Remember when me and David told you what we do in secret?" She added, Louis nodded, "Well. I don't want it to be a casual thing anymore. I want something more." She said, looking down at her hooves.
"You mean you want to be David's girlfriend?" Louis asked, Cadence nodded, "Then why don't you just tell him how you feel?" He replied.
"I... tried too..." Cadence let out a deep sigh, "He wasn't indoors this morning..." She added glumly.
"Well, what you need to do is tell him how you feel the moment you two are alone, got it?" Louis replied as the other cook appeared from the storage room, "What would you like today." Louis said, gesturing to the cook behind him, Cadence nodded.
"Can i get a pizza to go?" She asked.
"Certainly, but we only have sharing bases today. Will that be ok" Louis replied, pointing to the shelf with bases on display.
"That'll do fine, i can just warm up the rest later." She said, pulling out her purse from her back.
"Stuffed crust?" Louis added, Cadence nodded, "Well, you're in luck, we have one mozzarella stuffed crust left." Cadence smiled, "So, what toppings?" Louis asked.
"Tomato puree on the base, cheese and sweetcorn, oh, and can their be a lot of cheese please?" Cadence smiled, Louis just nodded.
"Of course you can." Louis replied as the other cook returned to the storage room, "That'll be £2.99 please."
"You serious?" Cadence raised an eyebrow.
"Mates rates my dear." He replied, Cadence placed the money on the counter, "Thank you, it'll be done in a few minutes, i'll call you over once it's ready, alright?" He smiled, Cadence trotted over to one of the tables and pulled out her diary and she started to doodle her and David with hearts surrounding them.
Before long, Cadence receives her pizza and she was now on the final leg of her walk home. The snow crunching under her weight as she opened the front gate, to her surprise, there were no cars parked in the driveway. She opened the front door.
"Hello?!" She shouted, no one replied, "Looks like i'm home alone for now." She said, pulling the large pizza box from her school bag, she threw her back and coat on the sofa and sat down on the floor. As she opened the box, her nose was met by the heavenly smell.
"Louis may be a weirdo, but he makes a damn fine pizza." She pulled out a slide, the gooey cheese stringing as she brought the slice to her mouth, taking a bite as she heard someone pull into the driveway.
"Hello?" She heard David shout as the front door open, Cadence's heart fluttered as she raced to the front door.
"Babe!" She shouted, tackling him and passionately kissing him, "I missed you this morning~" She winked at him, "Let's make up for lost time~" She purred, kissing his neck.
"Cadence..." David groaned, trying not to moan as he felt her nibbling on his ear, "We can't do this anymore!" He shouted, Cadence flinched back at the sudden outburst.
"Cadence. We can't have sex again." He said, sitting up, Cadence scoffed, waving a hoof.
"Of course we can have sex again. We are home alone." She said, her tail wrapping around David's neck seemingly of its own accord, "I missed our morning quickie because you weren't indoors." She added, wrapping her hooves around his neck.
"No Cadence, we can't." David pushed her off, "Don't you remember what Jessica said when she caught us last night." He continued, sitting down on the sofa. Cadence's face fell in disappointment.
"She... said she'd tell mum and dad if she caught us again..." She sighed in sadness, her lip quivered, "But... We can do it right now. No one is here but-" David put a finger to her lip.
"Cadence... I don't want to run the risk. What if mum or Jess were to walk in right now." David calmly said, "You understand?" He added, Cadence nodded glumly.
"Is it my fault?" She asked, tears filling the corners of her eyes, "What did i do wrong..." She hid her face into her wings.
"Cadence. It's not your fault." He placed his hand under her chin, "And you didn't do anything wrong, you are a fine young lady, you'll make a man happy. Trust me on that." He kissed her forehead, she smiled slightly before turning away.
"I... Need to be alone for awhile.." She picked up the pizza box and quickly ran to her room and slammed the door, she proceeded to cry her eyes out into her pillow.
David and Cadence didn't speak to each other for the rest of the day, nor the next day for that matter. Cadence woke up feeling like crap, she weakly looked up at her alarm clock, she was surprised by the time, this was the first time she woke up an hour before her alarm. Cadence struggled to even move from her bed, she felt drained, she felt like she had been drained of her colours. She slowly left her room and made her way down stairs, she paused on the bottom step when she saw David moving around the kitchen with a mug of tea. Cadence felt like running back to her room and hiding forever, she breathed deeply.
"David.." She said weakly, causing him to turn around, "Hi..." She sighed, looking down at her pink hooves.
"Hi..." David said, placing the mug down on the counter, "I thought you weren't gonna talk to me ever again. Look Cadence, i enjoyed the sex we had. But we had to stop."
"I know."
"Do you."
"Yes."
David and Cadence sat down on the sofa, the Christmas tree lights lighting up their faces in an array of colour.
"So..." David placed his hands together, "Got a date for the prom?" He broke the awkward silence between them.
"No..." Cadence sighed, shaking her head, "I might not even bother going." She looked down, the flashing lights reflecting in her eyes.
"No, you have to go." He said, "You'll regret it if you dont." He placed his hand on her chin, making her look up at him.
"But i don't have a date for it though." She moaned, "I'll be a laughing stock if i turn up on my own." She hid her face in her wings.
"You don't need a date for the prom." David sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Hell, both me and Jess went to the prom without dates, no one laughed at us at all." His thumb ran down her soft cheek, "Have you asked everyone?" He added, Cadence shook her head.
"Well, you have that rich kid, Lucas i think his name is, i haven't asked him yet, i doubt he'll take a low life like me." She sighed, she let out a sharp yelp and rubbed the back of her now sore head.
"Don't talk about yourself like that." David said, retracting his hand and placing it on the arm of the sofa, "Look, ask him today, and even if he says no, you can still go the to prom." He added.
"Ok..." Cadence nodded, before letting out a yawn as they heard Rose getting up.
It was approaching half 3 in the afternoon, the sun was setting behind the hill that Port Hope was built around. David was laying on the sofa, having fallen asleep just before 2 o'clock. He let out a sharp groan as he felt his chest being compressed, he opened his eyes, only to see Cadence sitting on him, her tail wagging like a dog.
"Can i help you?" He said, rubbing his eyes, letting out a yawn.
"Guess what?" She said, edging closer to his face.
"What?"
"I got a date for the prom." She smiled proudly, hugging him extremely tight.
"Yay..." David wheezed, forgetting that Cadence was strong for a teenager, "Let go, i cant breath."
It was finally Friday night, the night of the prom and Cadence was a nervous wreck.
"Hows does my dress look? Is my makeup on correctly? Does this dress make me look fat?" She panicked, pacing up and down next to her chest of draws, David sat on her bed, trying to comb her mane.
"Cadence. Relax, you look fine." He said, trying his best to calm her down, "Now sit still, i need to finish combing your mane." He added, Cadence sat down on the bed and turned her back to David, she closed her eyes in bless as she felt the comb making its way along her long mane. Cadence started to hum to herself as David tied her mane into a bun.
David turned the young pony to the mirror, "You look just like a princess." He said, Cadence gasped in surprise, she looked gorgeous.
"David... You made me look gorgeous." She gasped, "I love it!" She smiled, kissing his cheek as a sign of thank you, she quickly skipped from her room.
"You were always gorgeous..." He said quietly, slowly following her, not knowing she had heard him.
The pair sat in David's car, waiting for the traffic lights to go green. Cadence looked down, doubt had slowly started to fill her mind. The light went green, the car roared away, Cadence looked out the window as they travelled down the fairly calm high street, the Christmas light strung up between the shops twinkled in the cloudless sky.
"David..." Cadence turned too him, "I heard what you said. Was i always gorgeous?" She asked, David looked away from her, she placed a wing on his chin, making him look at her, "Please tell me." She asked again.
"Yes..." David slowly nodded, "You were... you are gorgeous, if i wasn't your brother and younger, i'd gladly date you." His face turned away in shame, Cadence blushed as the car pulled up outside the school.
"David... I did-" A loud tapping interrupted her, she looked over to see it was Lucas dressed in a blue suit, he opened the door and helped Cadence out.
"Cadence, i'll pick you up after the prom ok?" David said, Lucas leaned.
"She'll be staying at mine tonight." He said, quiet rudely, Cadence gave a look of disgust as Lucas threw a large amount of money at David's face. In anger, David slammed the door shut and revved the engine, the car skidded out the down the road, leaving the smell of burning rubber in the air. Cadence turned away from Lucas and huffed, trotting towards where the prom was happening.
Cadence stepped into the sports hall, her ears were filled with music. Most of, if not all of year 11 was here, she walked over to the table with food and drink on, grabbing a plate and two slices of pizza, she walked over to the stage and sat down on it, taking a bite of pizza.
"Hey Cadence!" She heard Louis shout over the music.
"Oh, hey Louis." She paused, "Wait? Louis?!" She shouted over the music, "What are you doing here?!" She hugged him.
"I'm covering for the DJ, he had a family emergency or something. I'm only here until Mr. Norris gets here." Louis said, "Well, i best get back to DJing." Louis walked back over to the turntables.
Cadence looked up at the clock that hung above the hall, she'd been at the prom for barely an hour and not once had Lucas came over to her and asked her to dance. All Cadence did was ferry between the stage and the food table with plates of pizza. Cadence was contemplating leaving the prom, but stopped her line of thought as Lucas finally walked over, she let out a smile that quickly faded as he walked past her and up onto the stage. He grabbed a hands free microphone, placing it over his ear, making sure it was near his mouth as he stepped out onto the stage, the music dying down.
"Ladies and gentlemen, can i have your attention please?" He spoke into the mic, "As you know, my family has been sponsoring this prom since 1946. But today i'd like to announce that my family are now the number 1 sponsor for the school!" He added, most of the students cheered, "Now then, enjoy your night!" He said before walking off stage. He ignored Cadence and walked towards the double doors that lead to the sports field.
"Hey Lucas." Said one of the other rich as Lucas grabbed a cigarette from his jacket and lighting it.
"Jonathan." Lucas said, lighting Jonathan's cigarette, "Are Marcus and Andrew here yet?" He asked, taking a long inhale of smoke.
"Here they come now." Jonathan said as two more well dressed boys approached from the car park.
"Hello Lucas." Marcus said, lighting his cigarette, "I see you brought that pony as a date." He took a puff.
Louis held the headset closer to his ear as he heard Lucas talking about Cadence.
"So then, whatcha gonna do to her?" He heard Andrew speak, the mic picking up everything, "What devious plan do you have." Louis switched the mic relay into the speaker.
"Once the party's over, i'm gonna get her into the limo and put these in her drink." The sound of a bottle of pills rattled in the background, "Then once she's out, we all have out turn with her." Cadence's pupils shrunk, "Once we had our fun, we stripe her clothes off, shave her, clip her wings and tie her up in field where she belongs- Oh shit the mic is still on!" The mic cut off as Lucas quickly ran up on stage, only to be tripped over by Louis, the pill bottle bounced out of his pocket, stopping at Cadence's hoof.
"Flunitrazepam." Cadence read the label, "You were gonna roofie me?" She shouted, Lucas just smirked.
"So what?" He stood back up, "If you haven't noticed, my family holds a great deal of power in this fucking town. They'd just pay off the police and clear my name." He got right up in her face, "So try me bitch." He spat at her. Cadence wiped her eye and punched Lucas square in the mouth, he fell backwards off the stage, smashing through a table. She shook her hoof in pain, "I'm going home." She stepped off the stage, "Where i belong." She grabbed her purse and walked out the sports hall, leaving a stunned crowd being as the door slammed shut.
Cadence trotted down the school steps, tears filling her eyes. In anger, she punched a lamp post, leaving a large dent in its metal frame. Cadence looked up through her watery eyes at her home just behind the treeline, she was tempted to go straight home, but she needed time to think, deciding to instead walk the long way home.
Cadence slowly trotted along the beachfront promenade, the full moon casting the entire town in a lunar white glow. She sat down on a bench overlooking the beach, the moon reflecting off the calm water of the north sea. The silhouette of the wreck of the S.S. Mi Amore blocked out part of the moon. The lights from distance ships on the horizon twinkled like stars.
"I'm such a fucking fool." She hid her face in her hooves, "I was so stupid to think anyone one loved me except..." She paused, remembering what David had told her earlier, "I am gorgeous..." Then it clicked, "David loves me!" She shouted, saying that made her feel warm, "I gotta tell him how i feel." She shot off the bench, running as fast as her hooves carry her, her dress fluttering like a cape behind her. She skidded as she turned the corner and ran along the road, she galloped faster as her house appeared in the distance.
David let out a sigh as he sat in his empty home. He looked up at the clock, seeing that it was barely 9:15 pm.
"Might as well go to bed, Cadence is spending the night with that Lucas..." He said sadly, "Wish i told her how i felt." He sighed, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He was about to get up when he heard the doorbell ring, followed by rapid knocks. He quickly walked to the door and opened it, he was surprised to see a frantic Cadence, her lip quivered.
"I'm so sorry!" She shouted, tackling him and burying her face into his neck, "I should of seen the signs before. I love you David Wyne!" She kicked the front door shut with her hoof. David staggered slightly from the force of Cadence lunging at him.
"Cadence. What are you doing here?" He stuttered, "You should be at the prom with... Lucas..." He trailed off sadly, removing the mare from him, he sat down on the sofa. Cadence frowned, trotting over to him and sitting next to him, her ice cold fur rubbing up against his arm.
"Lucas... Was a fucking jerk! First off, he was rude to you, then he was ignoring me, and then i heard him planning to fucking drug me!" She seethed with rage as she paced around the room
"Hold up." David stood up, "That little prick was planning to do what?!" David shouted, his voice full of rage, "I'll kill him! He bolted for the front door, only to be stopped by Cadence.
"David! Stop." She roared, "I've already dealt with him." She showed him her slightly bruised hoof, "Plus, he forgot his mic was on, so the whole prom heard his plan..." Cadence looked away.
"Ok ok..." David breathed deeply, slowly calming himself down, "So... what now?" He asked the mare before him, she smiled.
"Why don't we have a little prom here, just me and you?" She twirled around like a princess, David nodded, this brought a smile to the mare's face.
"I don't see why not." David shrugged, "Shall i order some foo-"
"PIZZA!" Cadence cut him off, shouting like an excited child.
"Lucas threw like £300 at me, he's paying for this." David smiled, Cadence chuckled.
David grunted as he moved the sofa and armchair right up against the wall, allowing space for Cadence to dance. As he wiped his forehead, he heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" Cadence shouted, sprinting past the front room door and opening the front door. David sat down on the leather sofa, panting as he heard the door slam, "Pizza's here!" She called out, placing the four boxes of pizza on the coffee table, she ran over to the boombox and pressed play.
"Come on and dance with me!" She shouted, holding out her hoof.
"Nah. I can't dance, i have two left feet." He shook his head, Cadence rolled her eyes and pulled him off the sofa.
"I literally have two left feet, and if i can dance, so can you." She said, standing on her hind legs and wrapping her hooves around his back, making him blush lightly, she smiled, rested her head on his chest.
"I love you Cadence..." He mumbled under his breath, her ears twitched, she looked up in surprise, causing her to low her balance and falling over, dragging David down with her, he landed on top of her.
"Cadence, you are alright?" He asked with concern, he tried to get off her, only to find her legs locked around him.
"I'm fine babe." Cadence said, wrapping her hooves around his neck and kissing him, "David. Do you love me? And no, i don't mean as in brotherly love, i mean love love." She cooed, kissing him again.
"Yes Cadence." He said shyly, "I am in love with you, i have been since November, but i never had the nerve to tell in case you rej-" She kissed him again.
"Oh David~" She purred, pulling away, "I love you too!" She cried with happiness, she wrapping her arms around him tightly, rolling him over, now she was on top, "I want you to be my boyfriend." She said, hiding her face in embarrassment. David parted her wings and gave her a kiss, "Is that a yes?" She blushed, David nodded, Cadence beamed from ear to ear. The pair passionately kissed as a sign of their new found relationship, they rolled over again, Cadence now under David again.
Cadence let out a moan as she felt David's fingers slowly running down her chest and over her belly, she bit her lips as she felt them brush over her erect teats, "Oh... My..." She squealed in arousal, her wings stretching out. She gasped when she felt his fingers gently entered her marehood, spreading it open.
"N-n-n-o..." She winced, David stopped almost instantly, he retracted his sticky fingers from her panties, "N-n-n-ot here..." She stuttered, wrapping her hooves around his neck, "Lets take this to your room~" She whispered into his ear, nibbling on his neck. David scooped her up in his arms, carrying her bridle up the stairs.
David threw Cadence down on his bed and gently started kissing her chest, slowly working his way down to her belly.
"Oh David~" She purred as he worked is way lower to her panties, "Pull them off~" She said with lust, he obliged, gently pulling her white panties up off her legs, throwing them to the side. He softly kissed her leg, gently caressing her soft fur. She moaned in delight as he gently squeezed her flank, now kissing her thigh, "David... Lick me, please..." She stuttered between moans, he winked and worked his way lower, kissing her opening.
"Mom! Too much information!" Flurry Heart covered her ears in disgust, Cadence grabbed Flurry Heart in a headlock and ruffled up her mane, "Mom, stop!" Flurry chuckled, "I'm ticklish!" She wriggled like a worm on a hook. Cadence froze when her hoof ran over a telltale lump on Flurry Hearts head, "Mom?" Flurry asked in concern.
"Flurry Heart..." Cadence sighed, "Do you remember what we told you about your broken horn?" Cadence looked down
"Yeah... You told me that i was flying around too fast as a baby and crashed into a bookcase and it fell on me." Flurry cocked her head in confusion, "Why did you ask..." She added.
"Flurry dear, it's not entirely true. You see, when you were just a baby, Queen Chrysalis has successfully taken me and your dad captive, Sunburst was able to escape with you, the Queen ordered you be hunted down and killed by her drones. Thorax found you and Sunburst but the drones also found you, a fight broke out and one of the drones was able to hit you, your horn was broken off in the fight..." Cadence looked away.
"Mom..." Flurry said in shock, "Why didn't you tell me?" Her voice crept up in tone.
"Because...".
"Because what."
"Because..."
"Because what!"
"Because i didn't want to lose you like how i lost Shooting Star!"
End of Chapter Nineteen.
