Chapter Twenty One.

Breaking The Rules.

David sat in the cab of his locomotive, he and Dusty had called in quits for the day as the ice in '43999's smoke box refusing to melt despite everything they did, she said she'd have to get Spike to try melt it with his fire breath. David let out a sigh as he rested his head on the control console, gently flicking a pencil up and down. The only sound present to him was the rain trickling down the metal shell of the ageing diesel and the squeak of the window wiper. His eyes focused on the overflowing box that sat below the conductor's seat. He slowly sat down on the floor, dragging the box over to himself. The world slowly ticked away as he looked through all the little trinkets he found over the years.

The clouds slowly dissipated, allowing light from the full moon to shine through the windows of the dimly lit cab as David sat on the floor, flicking through old magazines. As he placed one of the magazines back in the box, he heard three knocks on the thin metal door in the nose. David stood up and gently limped down the steps and forced the stiff door open, to his surprise, he saw Cadence pulling down her hood.
"Can i help you?" He said, a cool breeze blowing through his hair.
"Gather your things." She smiled proudly, "You are moving in with me at the Crystal Empire." She held out her hooves and tightly hugged him.
"Great..." He said, a hint of annoyance feeling his voice, he broke free from Cadence's grip.
"What's wrong?" She cocked her head to the left, she followed him inside the cab as he sat down on the pile of blankets he called a bed
"Its just... I don't think Shining likes me..." David placed his head in his hand, "I would be awkward for him if his wife's former lover was suddenly living in the same place as him, it sounds like some TV Sitcom..." He added, flicking through another magazine.

Cadence sat down next to him and frowned, "David... You can't keep living like this." She pointed at the mold on the walls, "That isn't good for your health." She placed her hoof in his hand, "Please David... Please come and live me with, forget what Shining says, i can deal with him." Her voice cracked as she begged him.
"I don't know Cadence..." He put the magazine down and looked deep into the icy blue eyes, "Didn't you see how he was staring at me when we had dinner at the palace. He clearly doesn't like me." David put the magazine in the box, causing it to fall over, spilling its contents over the floor, a large binder landed at Cadence's hooves.
"Whats this?" Her horn lit up, picking up the binder, she opened it, all that was inside was a polly pocket full of letter envelope, all addressed to David in her handwriting, "You received my letters?" She looked at him, her eyes filling with anger, "And you never opened them?!" She shouted, flicking through each envelope.
"I was scared at what i would find inside..." He said, looking away from her, "I thought you were writing to me, telling you found someone else and you wanted nothing more to do with me. So i just kept them unopened and forgot about them." He sighed.

Cadence placed her hoof under his chin, pressing her forehead against his.
"David... I thought you never received my letters, i loved you to bits, i wanted you to come to Equestria and live with me. That is what was in these letters David, me begging you to come to Equestria, Celestia even said she'd marry us on the spot the second you arrived..." She said, a tear escaping her eye, "But after not hearing anything from you... I gave up." She looked down, "I missed you David, every day of my life..." She pulled her head away, wiping tears from her cheeks.
"Cadence I..." He stuttered, looking deep into her eyes. He felt the urge to do something he knew he shouldn't, even if it felt go, "Oh, what the hell, come here you!" he said, bring her closer and kissing her square of the lips. Her pupils shrank in surprise.

David quickly backed away, instantly regretting that decision.
"I'm so sorry." He screamed, "I didn't think about what i was doing." He hid his face in embarrassment, "I'll understand if you want me to leave you alo-" Cadence kissed him on the lips, wrapping her hooves around his neck. David fell onto his back as the pair kissed passionately.
"David..." Cadence purred, pulling away, a trail of saliva forming between them, "I missed this!" She said with a smirk, rolling the pair on their side, "David, lets do it, right now~" She kissed him.
"But what about Shining?" He asked, pulling away from her.
"He's been..." She paused, looking down, "He's been cheating on me." She sat up and placed her head into her knees, sighing heavily.

David sat back up, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, bringing her into an embrace.
"How long?" He said simply.
"Since before Flurry Heart was born..." Her lip quivered.
"Son of a bitch..." David said under his breath, trying to calm his anger, "How did you find out?" He looked down at her.
"One morning, not long after having Flurry Heart, i caught him sneaking out, so i followed him, where i..." She gulped, "I saw him making out with one of my maids!" She wailed into David's side.
"That bastard..." David embraced her more, kissing her forehead, "Did you ever confront him?"
"Many, many times over the years, he says it won't happen again, but its just a cycle at this point." She rubbed her eyes.

"Why don't you just divorce his ass?" David said, running his finger through her mane, scratching behind her ear.
"I've been tempted many times, but i didn't want to put Flurry Heart in the middle." Cadence sighed, looking down at her fluffy chest, "David... I want us to make love, just like we used to all those years ago..." She kissed David, wrapping her legs around his neck, she fell onto her back, she looked up into David's eyes and smiled. David's eyes slowly trailed down her body, he was surprised at how beautiful she'd become over the years, a fluffy chest, narrow waist and wide hips, she let out a smirk, "See something you like?" She teased, rolling over onto her chest, raising her rump into the air and moving her tail to the side, allowing David to see her dripping wet marehood, her clitoris winked. She raised her head and licked her lips before rolling back over onto her back, wrapping all four hooves around David, bring him closer, she purred as she felt his shirt rub against her fur.
"Cadence?" He said, his face red with blush, she looked at him, fluttering her eyes, "Are you absolutely sure you want to do this?" The only responses he got from her were rapid nods followed by another kiss.

"David~" Cadence sang slightly, "Take off your shirt please~" She nibbled his neck in arousal.
"I um... i don't know..." David trailed off, backing up slightly, crossing his arms, Cadence tilted her head in confusion?
"Whats wrong? I've seen it all before babe~" She cooed, "Let me help you~" She purred, she raised her head in an attempt to pull of his top with her teeth, only for him to pull away.
"I don't know if you'd like what you'd see..." David looked down in shame.
"Take it off. Take it off! TAKE IT OFF!" Cadence said, her voiced raised in volume as she repeated herself.
"Ok fine!" David said, turning around and taking his top of slowly, he heard Cadence gasp in horror as he pulled the shirt off his shoulders, tossing it aside, "Now you know why i didn't want to take it off.
"David..." Cadence said sadly, running her hoof over the scarred skin, "What happened?" She rubbed his shoulders.
"I was too close to the car when it blew..." He turned to face her, "3rd degree burns all over my back..." Cadence embraced him, his head resting on her chest.

The pair fell back onto the makeshift bed. Cadence kissed him passionately.
"Cadence..." David said, smiling slightly, "Let's make tonight magical." He said, nibbling her neck, she let out a squeak and giggled, "What?" He said, rubbing the fur on her ear.
"It's just you said that when we made love after i became an alicorn~" She kissed his neck, "You got protection?" She whispered in his ear, she let out a smile as she felt him shake his head, "Good, i want you to fill me up~" She purred, wrapping her hooves around his back.
"But what about... you know, possible pregnancy?" David said quietly, he heard Cadence snort and let out another giggle.
"I have a spell for that." She smiled as her horn started to glow, followed by a small burst of magical sparks, "Ok, now i'm ready." She kissed him again.

"What was that?" David said as he looked at her with a funny look.
"Just a simple contraception spell." Cadence replied, she let out a smile as she felt something prodding her, she looked down and saw a bulge in David's trousers, "Oooh, what's this?" She bit her lip as she undid his trousers with her magic, letting out a lusty growl as she saw his erect member plop out and smacking on her teats. David sat up and aligned his tip with the open and slowly thrusting deep into her cunt, she let out a moan and quickly wrapped her hind legs around his waist and held him close
