Juniper woke up with a start, having had another nightmare about...something. She could not put her finger on it, but ever since she had turned 13, she had been having nightmares. In these nightmares, the events that played out would always be one of 2 scenarios: A enormous beam of blood red light devastating the world, or the aftermath of an unknown scenario, underneath the same tree she meets up with her friends at.

She then heard a door creaking open.

"Rise and shine June." A masculine, but not deep or gruff, voice called out.

"Oh for the love of...Dad, can't I get a little extra shuteye here?" Juniper grumbled as she rolled off of the bed.

"...Is this a good time to tell you that I need you to run an errand?" Scythe, Juniper's father, responded, asking the question at the same time.

Juniper groaned as she walked out of the room, grabbing a small pouch, and proceeding to head out the door.

Juniper walked down the beaten path leading to Snowcast, a bustling citylike town in the heart of the Lumina Continent. The kingdom was governed by the crown Pokemon, Calyrex, who made sure that no wrongdoers slipped out of getting justice served, but was also kind and benevolent, and was always watching, even if nobody knew it. Anyway, Juniper then heard rustling coming from the overgrowth.

"OK, whoever is hiding in there better show themselves!" She barked angrily.

A Pokemon with rabbit-like features stepped out from the thicket, with eyes red like a burning fire.

"Ok seriously!? WHY ARE YOU EVEN FOLLOWING ME!?" Juniper angrily exclaimed.

"Your dad sent me. Did you not hear my voice downstairs!?" The bunny-like pokemon replied.

Juniper then had a quick realization.

"Ebony!?" She squealed.

"Doooooon't you believe it!" Ebony replied.

Now, before we continue this story, let me provide you guys with some history of Ebony and Juniper's friendship. Their parents have known each other for like about 4 years, and are close friends. Scythe(Remember the raichu from earlier? Yeah that's Juniper's dad.) often asks Ebony's parents for tips on parenting 12 hyperactive electric mice pups, and one pre-teen riolu. Yeah… Anyway, back to the story!
