Part 2: Welcome, Newcomer!
After the decorations were set…
"And it's all done!" Sonic declared as he admired the banner with 'Welcome to Smash!' written on it. "Thanks for the help, everyone."
"Bié kèqì." Min Min spoke in her mother tongue.
"It was my pleasure to help." Sheik said.
Then, the room began to be filled with chatter and gossip about the newcomer.
"Looks like everyone's noisy tonight…" Solo said.
"Of course, everyone is excited about the newcomer." Sonic replied.
"And so am I!" Pit chimed. "How about you, Pittoo?"
Dark Pit only rolled his eyes.
"I think he's excited too. He's just not expressing it." Eleven mused.
"To be honest, I'm curious about this newcomer." Sephiroth said.
"I agree with Sir Sephiroth." Caliburn stated.
"And so am I." Shahra added.
"I can't agree with you more," Joker spoke.
"I'm curious too, but at the same time, excited to see our final newcomer." Morgana cheered.
"Yeah, can't wait for him or her to show up." Sonic agreed with Morgana.
Master Hand and Crazy Hand then appeared in the auditorium.
"Oh, it's seems everyone had prepared in record time." Master Hand remarked.
"Hey there, Master Hand." Sonic greeted. "We all heard the announcement and assumed that it's a newcomer, so we thought that we give him a warm welcome."
"That's a nice thing to do, Sonic." Crazy Hand giggled, then notices Sonic's two storybook characters with him. "Hey, whatcha got there?"
"Oh, that's right. I would like you to meet Shahra and Caliburn. Guys, this is Master Hand and Crazy Hand."
"They all look the same, though. How do we distinguish their difference?" Shahra asked with a confused expression.
"It's simple. Master Hand looks like our right hand." Sonic explained. "While Crazy Hand is the opposite."
"And Crazy's distinguishable feature is that he wobbles his fingers all the time." Joker added.
"Ah, I see it now." Caliburn spoke.
"So, is the newcomer coming yet?" Eleven asked.
"Alright," Master Hand looked around. "Since everyone is here and everything is set, I can now begin."
Master Hand cleared his throat loudly (if he had one) to get everyone's attention.
"Smashers, and two guests, thank you for coming for this important announcement and preparing for our newcomer. And you're all very curious and very excited about that."
Everyone in the room cheered in agreement.
"Wow, everyone in this room is excited!" Crazy Hand chimed.
"Hehehe. Just as expected." Master Hand chuckled. "However, this will be the last of the newcomers, so some will be happy, some will be sad. So, are you all ready?"
Everyone cheered again.
"Alright then. Let's not waste any more time." Master Hand declared. "Please welcome…"
Everyone faced the auditorium door, waiting for the newcomer with anticipation, curiosity, excitement, you name it.
"Sora from Kingdom Hearts!" Master Hand and Crazy Hand declared as the auditorium doors swung open, revealing the keyblade wielder himself.
"Yo, guys!" Sora greeted.
"Sora!?" Cloud, Sephiroth, and Eleven exclaimed in unison.
"Am I in the right time?"
After a couple of seconds of silence, the crowd cheered, congratulating the Newcomer.
"Oh, sweet! Another cool character!" Sonic spoke.
Then, the people who were familiar to him approached him.
"Sora, I'm so glad you're here." Cloud smiled.
"Me as well. I didn't expect you to be here." Sephiroth added.
"Aw, I know you missed me that much, and I missed you too." Sora chuckled.
"It's good to meet you again, Sora." Eleven shook hands with him.
"Me too, Eleven."
"Hold on, you know him, Eleven?" Arusu asked.
"Yeah. I met him the same way when I met Cloud and Sephiroth before I became a Smasher." Eleven replied.
"Ah, I see it now."
"A swordfighter?" Caliburn chimed.
"Whoa! A sword that can talk?" Sora gaped.
"Actually, Sora is a keyblade wielder." Eleven corrected.
"Let me guess." Shahra spoke. "A keyblade… is a blade that looked like a key?"
"Yep, you got that right." Sora smiled as he magically summons his keyblade.
"Huh, no wonder it is called a keyblade." Caliburn mused.
"Hey, uh, Sora? Congratulations and welcome to Smash!" Sonic greeted.
"Thanks, uh…" Sora trailed.
"Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog."
"Yeah. Thanks, Sonic."
The Smashers began to gather around the newcomer and congratulate him.
"Huh, this is fast." Crazy Hand chimed. "Our newcomer is already getting along."
Master Hand chuckled. "I knew we picked the right person."
There you have it, Smash players! Sora finally joins the battle! I may watch a bit about Kingdom Hearts, and yet I was so inspired.
Sephiroth: Honestly, I didn't see that coming.
Joie: Yeah, me neither.
Eleven: Oh, and for those who are questioning how I'd know Sora in the first place, Joie will explain it to you.
Joie: As you may not know, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest XI collaborated in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. I explained it already in my crossover 'A Tour in Smash Mansion.'
Cloud: Anyway, he's the last newcomer, and there will be no more waiting for another one.
Joie: Yeah, it's so sad that it has to end this way, but on the bright side, congrats, Sora, and welcome to Super Smash Brothers.
