A/N I am so, so, so sorry that I haven´t been able to publish this chapter, I had to spellcheck it and then I decided to incorporate a couple of things in it, also adulthood, the hot weather and chemistry is not helping me, I had had a couple of stressful weeks, but I think, that the inspiration came back and I am so happy, I enjoy writing this story but above all, I love that you take the time to keep reading it, also I appreciate all the likes, follows and reviews, sounds cliche but they keep me going. This chapter is one of my favorite ones, I hope that you like it as well, let me know what you think about it!
Chapter 10 Top gun and other choices.
Gordon parked the band's blue van in front of the grocery store, and point to the other side of the street.
"Look Harvey there is the Blockbuster go and pick a movie or two so we can see them over this weekend, remember that today Is the opening ceremony of the Atlanta Olympics and If we have luck we´ll see Ricky on television with all the other American athletes, and maybe we can see a movie before the ceremony, So, I will go for a couple of beers and something to make us some dinner", Gordon said meanwhile he walked inside to the grocery store
"Ok, Dad. I will do that, I have completely forgotten that Ricky is on the Baseball team" Harvey said while he began to cross the street.
"Yeah, right you completely forgot that you could be on that baseball team, but you have to overdo it and screw your shoulder, I am not buying it" Sam commented, Harvey ignore him and keep walking
"What too soon?, Ok I overstepped? Come on Regy, let me go with you, I will pay and buy popcorn because I am afraid that you are going to rent again Top Gun!" Exclaimed Sam.
Harvey was annoyed by Sam's comment, in fact, Harvey was avoiding the whole topic, It bothered him that he had a real chance and that he knew that he was a far way better pitcher than Garfield, but he decided to ignore the comment, he knew that Sam was teasing him.
Sherryl was arranging a poster in the window of the new promotion when she spotted, the blue van in the street, she turned towards Donna "Roby, isn't that the van of the band that it's playing at the black pearl?"
"Move so I can see", said Donna who was sitting with the legs up and the black boots over the counter, she was reading a comic magazine. And was irked because she recently had a confrontation with a client that didn't want to pay the penalty fee charged for returning late the videos.
"Yup that's the van, I can recognize due to the silly sticker in the window", said Donna pointing out a Calvin and Hobbes sticker.
At that moment Donna saw Harvey, she was immediately mesmerized by him, he was the definition of hot, this handsome man had a fit body but had an arrogant vibe, she was quite puzzled.
Donna had a million questions that begin from, Who is him?, How many girlfriends he has? Is he a sin?, he had to be, What size were his shoes? And ended in How the heck I have never seen him with the band? She stared at Harvey that was talking to Sam, who was the drummer of the jazz band that had been playing at her job for the past 3 weeks, before somebody noticed that she was ogling him, she covered her face with the magazine.
"Hi", Harvey said greeting the girls and completely ignoring them at the same time, while he went straight to the action section of the store.
"What a douche", Donna mumble watching the magazine again, she lost interest, she hated conceited guys, Sheryl didn't listen to her or choose not to.
"What are you going to pick this time Reginald", shouted Sam as soon as he entered the store- mocking Harvey, he knew that he hated to be called Reginald and even worst in front of girls or people he didn't knew him, Sam was fond of the girls and was aware that Harvey was a serial womanizer, so he decided to protect them by bulling him.
Donna chuckle as soon as she saw the gesture on Harvey's face, she could notice that he didn´t like to be called like that or that wasn't his name and Sam was mocking him
With a grim Harvey answer "It's classified. I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you" picking the latest release from the wall.
"Regy, I said no to Top Gun" Sam complained, meanwhile Harvey gave him an annoyed look while tilting his head "What? It's your name! Deal with it!", laugh Sam.
At this point the two girls were chuckling but were trying to have straight faces, the one that was struggling more was Donna, Harvey was very annoyed he in fact didn't like to be mocked in front of girls, and as soon as he noticed Donna he knew that she was very beautiful and hot, she was trouble, and that he wanted her, so he decided to leave the subject alone or he was going to be the laughing stock of Sam and he didn't want to give Donna a bad impression, by being bullied by an old man. So, he decided to go along with Sam.
"Ok, just you know Top Gun it's a great movie". Harvey said as he took the James Bond GoldenEye one from the wall and turned towards Sam who was next to the counter "So, what do you think about, Bond my name is James Bond", holding the video case like a gun and pointing at Sam and then at the girl's behind the counter making his best impression of Pierce Brosnan sexy face and making the gesture as if he was shutting them, first Sam, then Sheryl and at last Donna, blowing the case when he finished.
Donna decided to go along and acted like she was shot dropping the comic, making all laugh, Indeed Harvey had a hypnotic smile and Donna couldn't help herself, but she acted cool so he didn't think he had her in his pocket.
"Yeah, James Bond It's okay, also grab the movie Die Hard with a Vengeance Regy", Sam said emphasizing Harvey's middle name, Harvey stared at Sam, with a what are you 8 or what? Face, tilting it to the left.
"Ok, I got them, now what?" Harvey approached the counter opposite Donna placing the cases in front of her.
"Sweetheart, can you sell me some popcorn?" said Sam to Sheryl
"Absolutely how many bags do you want? Do you want me to put the popcorn in the microwave?" Asked Sheryl
"2 and No, thank you, I will do them at home, Gordon is waiting outside, he got beers for us".
"That's ok, anything else?" Said Sheryl with the best customer service attitude that she had as Donna stood up from her chair and received the cases that Harvey just put on the counter with a whatever attitude.
"Just her phone number", Harvey answer with confidence pointing to Donna giving her the most gorgeous smile she had ever seen, the Specter smile one very familiar to the one that belonged to Gordon.
"In your dreams" scoff Donna, trying to stay cool, then she turned to the wall and searched for the VHS of the videos they wanted.
Harvey took the opportunity to admire Donna's body and he couldn't help to notice the rose tattoo on her left hip under her shirt.
How many tattoos had this girl? Harvey ponder, definitely, he wanted to count them one by one, she just recently applied the tattoo again and truly gave the impression that was a real one, Harvey enjoyed the view while Donna stretched her toes to reach the movies at the top of the shelf where they were kept, this woman was going to be the death of him.
"Stop it Regy, she is a hard-working girl, leave her alone or you are going to deal with me", Said Sam while he paid.
"I'm just saying, she asks what else I wanted", Harvey smirk at Donna, at the very same moment Gordon honked twice.
"Let's go Regy, goodbye girls, see you later", said Sam that was walking outside waving to the girls.
"See you soon, girls", said Harvey winking at Donna, that was at 2 seconds to melt like ice cream in the desert.
"Whatever" Donna said to Harvey, ignoring him meanwhile she waved at Sam returning to the chair that she was before, picking up the comic again placing it in front of her face, she didn't want Harvey to noticed how tingling she was keeping her breath.
"Goodbye, come back soon", said Sheryl. Waving back to them.
As soon as the girls watch the van go away, they look at each other.
"What was that? And most importantly who was he? He is hot as hell -said, Sheryl
"Yeah he is, but my money's on he is a douchebag", Donna said going back to the comic, still playing it cool
"Well let me tell you he is into you, I am so jealous", Said Sheryl while she fanned her hands to her face.
"So, you are leaving Ethan for this douchebag", said mockingly Donna with something that felt like a hint of jealousy shown in her eyes.
"No, I do love Ethan, and I think he loves me back", Said Sheryl thoughtfully. "You like him don't lie", Sheryl said giggling
"Even if I do, I bet either he has a girlfriend or several and I am not a second choice" Donna emphasized.
"You're lost and others winnings" Sheryl mocked Donna
"Shut up", Said Donna she was frustrated.
Later that night Harvey was thinking about the way to get his way with this gorgeous mystery woman. He was fascinated by Donna and couldn't keep her out of his mind. Definitely, he had to return the movies and ask her out.

A/N 3 Fun fact, the thing that I incorporated was the Olympics, I was checking the date for the graphic ficlet of the last posted and I realized that in '96 Olympics were held in Atlanta, another fun fact is that the Olympics are held every four year's every leap year, the exception for our generation is the one that was supposed happen in Tokyo last year, so thanks Covid. I always had the intention to add baseball to the story.
A/N 4 I rewatched "Rewind" T2:E8, and I really notice the color of the boy that was with his father passing by the aisle on the train, It´s a redhead, OMG! That is a humongous foreshadow, the first time I saw this episode I focused on Gordon's death all the things around the trama and I LOVE the "We just make partners" scene, It is one of my favorite ones, I thought that the boy represented what Harvey was missing with his dad, but now that I saw the color of the boy's hair I think that it represented really what he wanted, So, What do you think? Am I crazy? Did the boy remember Harvey to his friend Ricky Garfield? Do I have to be institutionalized? Did you notice it? It is random? Aaron has a crockpot and likes a very very very slow burn?
